Moonbear's Farm

Intro: Welcome to Moonbear's barn [and surrounding area]. Moonbear is a loner/ farm cat who wants some companionship. He is more than happy to help any cat in need of a home, food and/or love.
Here is what he looks like:


Moonbear, a black and white tom with aqua eyes, was resting by the stream after having a delicious meal of fish. Life for him was good; a great beautiful place to live, with lots to eat, and little to worry about. Though his stomach was always full, his heart occasionally ached with loneliness.

"Aren't we sharing tongues right now though? I never said we weren't if we didn't want to." Moonbear kept on licking and grooming Raven. He was really enjoying this she-cats company. But if you want, we could walk outside and see if the fireflies are out.

"Okay, just wondering," Raven nuzzled Moonbear, her shapely figure (idk) laying next to the tom as she scooted closer to his warmth. "I'm tired.. You can go take a walk if you want," She said forgivingly, and rubbed her cheek against his. Kneading the floor beneath her, she wondered what as going to happen. She really wanted to stay with Moonbear, but he would hate her if he found out who she really was. And that would be unbearable; she had never seen those friendly aqua eyes not happy and warm , but she knew they definitely would be if he found out. I don't know, she thought. I guess.. I'll stay until he finds out. She looked at the tom sweetly, and licked his face, neck, and chest then rested her head on her dark gray paws.

"Er... guys, I'm gonna go for a walk..." Berry meowed. She ran down the hilltop to the way she first saw the barn on the hilltop. She went under the bushes just as a cat started chasing prey across the Thunderpath. Soon, there was a truck full of hay coming, and the cat was about to step in front of it. "No!" Berry screamed. The cat jumped back, and the truck passed. "Th-th... Thank you!" the cat breathed, shocked. "You're welcome... what's your name, anyways?" Berry asked. "Cheri... What about you?" "I... I know you! I'm erry!" Berry exclaimed, "Come stay with me!" "I would love to, Berry! But I have a family..." Cheri replied, "See you around! I live in the barn next to the one that you're at if you need me!" She licked her sister's cheek and disappeared.

Berry came back a few minutes later with a mouce in her jaws. She laid back down and fell asleep.

"I'm fine, I'll just stay here with you." Moonbear purred as he laid down beside Raven and kept on licking and grooming her pelt. Finally he yawned and rested his head on her shoulders while wrapping his tail around hers.

"Okay!" Raven purred, and rubbed her head against Moonbear's as she felt his rhythimc licks on her silky gray pelt. She scooted closer to him, curling herself next to the bigger tom, purring even louder now. For the first time in her whole life, she was not worrying about the next day. Not worrying about anything. As Moonbear's warmness enveloped around the small gray she-cat, her eyes slid blissfully shut. Raven blinked her deep royal blue eyes open, to see the sky still dark, and everything bleached with moonlight. This was the time she would usually get the prey and leave. She started to get up, but laid down next to Moonbear again, snuggling closer to him. She closed her eyes, and fell back into a deep sleep again.

Moonbear stirred in his sleep when opened his eyes to see Raven getting up to lay down beside him again. "Something wrong?" he purred softly to her. He nuzzled and licked her warmly then gradually went back to sleep. Moonbear had never felt this happy in a long time. He finally had some friends to share his prosperous and care-free life with.

"Err.. I just can't sleep. I was faking the sleep," She lied smoothly; after all, she had a lot of experience with lying. As he fell asleep, Raven licked his head softly, and looked up at the sky. The stars were shining, the scene reflecting in her deep blue eyes, but they were locked on the moon. "I'll find you some day, father.." She murmured as she looked up at the sky for one last time. Then she looked at Moonbear; at his flank rising and falling, his soft purr while he sleeped, and his handsome black and white pelt. She jumped up, the fur on her back rising, her tail fluffing up, and her royal blue eyes narrowing into slits as she realized she might be carrying his kits now. That would mean she would have to stay here.. forever... What have I done?! she thought.

"Oh..." Moonbear replied back as he tried going to sleep again. "Who's your father?" He asked when he heard her murmur. He looked at her and noticed the surprised expression. His aqua eyes opened wider. "Are you feeling alright? Maybe a poppy seed could help."

"Ravenpaw. Barley, another loner, helped raise me, too. My mom got hit by a tractor when I was only a day old, so I don't even know remember what she looked like or anything," She said sadly, curling up next to Moonbear, hiding her face in his chest. "Err.. I'm fine.." She rubbed her head against his. "I can't get any sleep, though. But don't worry about me. Just go to sleep," She purred, and licked his head. Raven had calmed down because she remembered she was told that when she was a kitten, but when she was an adolescent, she remembered that talk. Sighing in relief, she rolled onto her belly restlessly, then rolled onto her back. She got a little farther from Moonbear, so as to not disturb him by all her squirming.

"Ravenpaw?...Barley?" Moonbear repeated the names Raven talked about. He remembered them from somewhere, but wasn't too sure where. "Okay...Hopefully you will too." He started purring again as she nuzzled and licked him. Eventually he went back to sleep, smiling happily.

Raven opened her drowsy eyes, much to the discontent as her eyelids fought to stay open. She had gotten no sleep at all last night. As sunlight filtered through the barn, Raven jumped up, sudden energy pulsing through her veins. She wanted to go chase something. "Moonbear! Get up, lazy bum!" She growled playfully into his ear then hopped out of the barn. She came back with a bucket that was in front of the barn full of water, and a sly smile on her face. Raven let go of the handle for a second, sending ice cold water splashing on his fur. Raven burst out laughing, then ran out of the Barn, yowling, "Come and get me! Cherry, Berry, run from Moonbear!" She scared away the birds that had been flocking around the barn, and laughed, batting at some of them.

"You woke me up! You little..." Berry started, but then she laughed, "I'll get you instead!" She started to chase Raven, laughing the whole way.

Moonbear woke up instantly as he became soaked with cold water. He watched as Raven and Berry ran away. "Come back here!" He meowed pretending to be angry but could not help but laugh.

"Why are you all yowling?" Cherry sqeaked, stumbling out of her sleeping place in time to see Berry chase after Raven and Moonbear laughing, but he was soaking wet. "I want to play!!" Cherry called, standing in the barn, looking after Raven and Berry.

Wolf stirred from his sleep and opened one eye to see the three she-cats race away from the barn. An amused purr rumbled in his throat, and yawning, scrambled from his nest. "So are we supposed to chase them?" he asked Moonbear, bounding over, shaking the moss and hay (lol I guess) from his fur as he approached. Wolf laughed when he saw that Moonbear was soaking wet. "Morning swim?" he inquired.

Raven as fast as she could, her muscles flexing in the sunlight. She ducked under Moonbear and ran back to the barn. Panting, she opened her mouth, and scented for the cat named after a canine. (lol) "Wolf? Where are you?!" She called, making sure Moonbear wasn't anywhere close. Raven climbed on to the hay loft, and jumped around, hoping to feel a cat under her. Where's that stupid cat?! Raven thought playfully. The gray-black she-cat looked out the window of the barn, and saw all the other cats running around.. but no Wolf. "Where's that cat?! Or is he a mongrel canine?!" Raven yowled playfully, hoping the gray and white tom would hear her and not get mad.

"Who are you calling a mongrel canine?" Wolf growled in amusement, wrestling Raven to the ground from behind. "If you call me a mongrel canine," he mused, peering down at Raven, "then I'll call you... bird-prey?" He jabbed her once in the ribs with his paw and moved out of the way. I haven't this much fun in moons, he thought, his tail whisking back and forth liked it always did when he was about to pounce in a play-fight manner.

Moonbear shook the water off his and noticed Cherry watching. "Come join us!" he meowed cheerfully. He went over and pounced on her, then got up and started running again. Moonbear began skipping and jumping outside the barn as he let the morning sun dry him off.

"Can you not hear? I'm calling you a mongrel canine!" Raven yelled as loud as she could, pretending he was deaf. "Eep!" Raven exclaimed as she got wrestled to the ground. She kicked at his belly softly, purring in amusement. "I'm not bird-prey, I am a bird!" Raven batted at his face with soft, sheathed silky dark gray paws. She let out a fake screech as she got pawed in the ribs. Raven jumped up, tail lashing and eyes locked on Wolf's eyes. "Oh, you're gonna get it!" Raven mrrowed playfully, circling the tom.

Wolf crouched, his tail tip-twitching as he pivoted, his green eyes never leaving Raven's. "Just you see who'll get this....." he warned jokingly. As soon as he stopped talking, the gray-and-white tom shot forward and gently shoved her with his head, and started circling Raven instead. "Are you going to fight back?" he teased, "or are you going to wait while I keep pushing you over?"

"Get what...?" Raven asked, cocking her head in confusion. Raven "rrowed" and shook her head. She rubbed her dark gray paw against her head, "I've never fought before, though! You could teach me! That'd be funnnn!" She suggested excitedly, and stealthily jumping next to the gray and white tom. Her tail was "jumping" up and down as she quivered with excitement. Raven tried imitating what Wolf had done to her, but she was so small she had to jump and she fell onto Wolf's side. Raven jumped up, "Sorry! It's just you're a lot taller than me.." She mewed sheepishly, looking up at him with the Puss In Boots expression, ad her head cocked slightly to the left.

Moonbear rushed back into the barn to see where everyone was. He noticed Wolf and Raven were play-fighting each other. He wanted to join too, but wasn't sure if he should pick sides or go after both of them. He instead went towards Cherry who was still standing where she was. "Got you!" he mewed as he pounced on cherry, wrapping his front paws around her.

Wolf, amused, suggested, "Jump higher." Purring at her expression, he crouched ever so slightly so he was a little "shorter" than before. He prowled toward Raven, his tail whisking back and forth. "You've never fought before? That's okay, since it'll be in your instincts anyways." Hmm. His gray ears twitched and he resumed his circling. "When you pounce, concentrate on that spot! Your instincts should allow you to reach that spot." Wolf paused and teased, "C'mon, you must have jumped onto fences before." He lunged forward, his paws hitting the barn floor soundlessly as he nudged Raven over and stood triumphantly over the black she-cat. "I win!"

"I wasn't ready!" Cherry purred happily, and she pawed Moonbear's face with her soft paws and smiled (Is that possible?) happily. "I haven't had this much fun since I was a kit!" she thought happily and then mewed shyly "Um..Moonbear..do you think sometime you could help me learn how to hunt?" she asked, nervously waiting for his reply. "I hope he says yes so I'm not totally useless!!!" she wailed in her head.

"Err.. I'll try," Raven purred, looking at her short legs uncertainly. "Thanks," She breathed, as Wolf lowered himself a little. "Okay.. I've never even got in a fight with anything.. not even.. well.. anything," She snorted at herself, imitating Wolf's crouch as she tried to get it right. Raven continued circling the gray and white tom, her eyes narrowed into slits. "Well, I--" She got cut off was Wolf landed on her. Batting at his belly fur softly with her back paws, she batted at his face as well. With a huff, Raven tried to kick Wolf off, but failed miserably. "FAIL!" Raven mocked herself, and stretched her head up to his face, and bit his ears, avoiding his green eyes. She looked at them, and her jaw dropped, "You have pretty eyes!" (Sorry, LOVE that pic )
