Volepaw smiled at Petalpaw and whispered. "Thanks."

Cloudpaw purred watching Spottedkit. She pricked her ears and looked at Volepaw giving him a puzzled look. "Your leaving so soon? But its a kit!" Cloudpaw mewed softly. "Well, I want to go hunting with Petalpaw. Im so restless and ready to get out of camp too..." He mewed. Cloudpaw narrowed her eyes. "Fine." She growled. She whipped around to looked at Spottedkit and purred.

Volepaw narrowed his eyes at his sister and sighed. Sometimes Cloudpaw can be a pain in the tail. But now I get to go hunting with Petalpaw! He thought happily. "Ready when you are." He mewed turning to Petalpaw with a sly smile.

Crystalllight could tell what Silvermoon was thinking of. She purred warmly and rested her head on her mate's shoulder and dreamed the same thing. "Yes...total bliss...Mmmm...I can't wait." She closed her eyes and imagined it happening.

Featherfire ran out of the warrior den wanting t know what all the commotion was. Then she realized that Ravenshadows scent was fairly stale. "Ravenshadow, Raven. Where are you.?'' Then she began to worry about him she look everywhere and could not find him. She laid down on her side and sat there. I have lost him... but he can't forget I have his kits

Angel was back in camp. She told Featherfire, "Ravenshadow... is going to stay in Thunderclan for a while. Bellawing asked him."

Oak and Maple noticed Scarlet watching them, and then their eyes went wide with fear when they realized that she was the one who had killed their mother. Then they ran off into the woods outside camp.

Silvermoon saw Oakkit and Maplekit run off into the woods. She saw Scarlet staring at them as they ran off. "Oh no," she said. She nudged Crystallight and pointed in the kits direction. She stood up slowly. It was hard getting up nowadays. A pain went through her stomach as she stood up. "Owie!" she said. She gasped as the pain went away. She straightened up and clumsily half-ran half-walked after them. "Oakkit! Maplekit!" she called when she found them. "What's wrong?" she asked sweetly.

Crystallight looked as her adopted sons ran off into the forest. She struggled to get up as she followed Silvermoon. "Owhh..." She moaned heavy with kits as she tried moving. When she finally reached Oakit and Maplekit she had to lie down again. "Why did you run away like that?" She mewed between breathes.

Ravenshadow heard Featherfire calling for him. He stopped and looked at Bellawing. "I better go see her first...I'll come back later, okay. See you in the nursery." He gave a lick to her face and went back into the camp. "Here I am Featherfire. Bellawing just had her kits." He prayed to StarClan that she wouldn't be too mad at him.

Silvermoon studied her adopted sons. They looked scared. She picked Oak up the his scruff. "Let's get these two back to camp. They can explain it to us at camp," she said through his fur. She walked very slowly so she didn't trip. "Slow, slow, slow, slow," she kept repeating as she walked. She didn't want to trip because of her big belly and drop Oak.

Springfall gave an agonized cry, and the first kit was born. The kit's pelt was a shade lighter than Beestar, with darker stripes and almost golden stripes. "Its a tom!" cried Mewfire, licking the small tom's pelt, until he gave a mewl. SPringfall pawed the sturdy tom toward her, and managed to whisper weakly "Beekit....." and she nestled him against her, and gave a weak purr as he began to suckel. Suddenly another spasm in her belly shook her, and made her cry out sharply, and made her kit growl.Soon the second tom, a dark dark brown almost black tom with lighter stripes. "Darkkit..." she said softly, and licked his pelt. And Darkkit began to wail, and Springfall gently moved him to her belly, and relaxed for a moment as she spent the first few minutes with her kits, even the spasms seemed to stop for the moment. Then as the moment ended, the spasms began to return, as fierce as ever, but still Springfal thought she would never find a moment in her life as perfect as this.

Darkfire looked on as two kits was born. "Beekit and Darkkit," he said softly. He smiled at Springfall. He kept back as the kits suckled. He was hoping that Springfall has forgiven him for everything that had happened.

Crystallight nodded as she picked up Maplekit and followed Silvermoon. She made sure she moved slowly as well, so not to trip herself. When they got to camp, she thought she could hear the sound of mewling and wailing kits. She purred warmly realizing that Springfall's kits had arrived, or at least some of them.

Beestar watched in amazement as the first two kits were born. She purred affectionately at Springfall when she named the first kit after her. "Thanks." She said softly to her. Nuzzling her mate, she looked at the two kits as they nursed. They were very beautiful. It wasn't long though before Springfall had more spasms. "You're doing great so far love," she mewed encouragingly, as she kept rubbing Springfall's belly. "Just a few more now I think. Almost there now." She looked towards Mewfire to see any further developments.

Silvermoon put Oakkit down in front of the nursery. She could hear mewling. "Aww.. Sprinfall had some kits!" purred Silvermoon. She sat down next to Oakkit and wrapped her tail around him.

Crystallight placed Maplekit beside Oakit as she sat beside them and Silvermoon. "So it seeems," she agreed as she purred and licked her mate. She started day-dreaming about the day when she and Silvermoon had their kits, and they would all be nuzzled up close together like this in their big nest in the nursery. She could feel her kits inside moving closer, and she purred louder. "It won't be too long now dearies..." She sighed as she rested her head beside Silvermoon's.

Oakkit and Maplekit cuddled up against Crystallight and Silvermoon, but they often looked around to watch for Scarlet.
"Don't let Scarlet find us" Maplekit mewed.
"I don't want to be anywhere near her." Oakkit mewed.

"Why?" Crystallight asked as she looked at her kits with concern. "How come you're scared of Scarlet suddenly?" They're hiding something from us, I just don't know what it is. She licked the two toms on the top of their. "Please tell us darlings."

"But.... we promised our mother we wouldn't tell anyone...." Oakkit whispered. He thought back to when he was younger, and their mother, Ruby, had made them promise not to let anyone know that they were her kits. They couldn't even let any other cats see them either.
"We promised....." Maplekit mewed.

Springfall groaned in pain as the third kit was born. A small she-kit was born, her pelt was a creamy brown like Beestar's, and she had ligter fleckers and darker stripes. "M-mousekit...." SPringfall murmured, pulling the small she-kit toward her, and nestling her again Springfall's belly. As Springfall purred at her kits, an agonizing pain cramped her belly, making her yowl for a few moments, until the small rosey she-kit was born. Springfall looked up at Beestar, not daring to look at Darkfire because she was still a little depressed, "What....could we name her?" she whispered weakly.

Beestar watched as the last two kits, both she-cats, were born. She purred as she saw how beautiful they were, and thought of a name for the small rosy coloured one. "We could name her Rosekit," she suggested. "Or maybe...Ponykit?" She didn't really know why she suggested that name, but it seemed to suite the tiny she-kit for some reason. She started licking Springfall along the cheeks.

"But..." Crystallight mewed softly to Oakkit and Maplekit. "Me and Silvermoon just want to help protect you. we love you as if you were our own."

"Ok," Maplekit mewed, "but don't ask who our mother is."
The two kits looked around to make sure Scarlet wasn't watching and then Oakkit whispered, "She's the one who killed our mother."

Silvermoon narrowed her eyes. She shot Scarlet a angry look. She dug her claws into the ground. She had always known that Scarlet was bad news. She looked at her adopted son. Her gaze softened. "Oh sweeties!" she said sweetly bringing them closer to her and Crystallight. "We'll keep you safe and sound. We love you." She purred loudly.

Darkfire looked on as Springfall and Beestar named the last she-kit. He found the names beestar had recommended cute.

Crystallight gasped and glanced back at Scarlet. She could not believe her friend from the farm was the killer of her adopted kits' original mother. She hugged the two toms tightly and then looked at them closely. Suddenly she realized why they resembled like someone she knew. "Ruby..." She whispered to herself. Then returning to her kits she purrred sweetly. "We won't let anything happen to you darlings. You were the best things that ever happened for us...And when our kits arrive we well be needing your help." She gave each of the tom-kits a good licking. "You two are getting so big. You will soon be ready for an apprentice ceremony."

"Oh okay Ravenshadow I uh understand hope uh you can uh take care of you." She walked away slowly with her tail low. She tried to show she wasn't sad but could not help it. She thought a long while to herself. I am no match to her and never will be.

Ravenshadow went up beside his mate and nuzzled and licked her. "I promise to be back in a quarter moon..or when the kits arrive...Okay?"

"Ok see you later." She wished that he did not have to stay there but she knew that it was the way things work.

"I love you..." He called out to her, and then turned back for ThunderClan. He felt bad about this. He didn't want to abandon his mate, but he wanted to be with his new-born kits as well. Life could be so hard to choose.

Goldenstream peeked into the nursery. She saw Springfall. A tear went down her cheek. What have I done?! I've ruined the lives of her kits! They have no father!
