Warriors Worldwar Fan-Fic [Part 1]
Storyline:
Chapter 1
- Spoiler:
- It has been 5 generations since the 8 Warrior Mewtka Clans [or simply ‘The Clans’] became a united confederation, and a generation, after their alliance with the Volfren Empire. Along with the Rezputs, they now set off in a joint-expeditionary-force Conquest fleet, on a mission across the galaxy. Their objective: to control a distant life-bearing planet in time for the Colonization fleet [which will arrive in 20 years]. Simply known as Tosev-3 by the three races, it is referred to by [some of] the natives as Earth. Little do they realize that they arrived during the planet's darkest moment, and every nation is at war. Soon the fate of both humans and aliens rests in the balance of a few chosen Mewtka warriors.
Chapter 1
- Spoiler:
- Fireheart, ThunderClan’s Deputy and Ship-commander, strode across the hall towards the Leader’s Ship-Den. After pressing the Door-bird [named for the distinctive chirping noise it gave] a familiar voice mewed “Enter” from the other side. He opened the door and walked in, taking a quick moment to observe the Ship-Den’s interior. The amount of room there was made it more like a suite than a true Clan Leader’s Den back Home.
Hanging pots with creeping ferns dangled downwards like a green veil between the doorway and the rest of the den. To the right was a large nest made of moss, and further to the right was a trickling fountain and a private dirtplace. On the left was a large shelf containing books, paper, a porcelain drinking set, and containers of ink and paint. On the top mantle was a pair of sheathed swords hanging upon a wrack. Along the walls of both sides were paintings, portraits and written scrolls. Straight ahead was a large round window that showed the endlessness of outer-space. And in front of the window was a desk where ThunderClan Leader Bluestar sat doing poetic Calligraphy. Looking up from her ‘work’ she purred warmly at her former apprentice.
“Hello Fireheart.”
“Greetings, exalted Clan-Leader.” Fireheart mewed jokingly.
Playing along with the little game, Bluestar did her best to sound sternly annoyed.
“Now, now, I’ll have none of that Volfren formality in my den.” She gave a slight mrrow at the end.
Firestar purred, “It shall be done…Bluestar.”
“That’s a little better.” Putting away the inkwell and scroll back into one of her desk drawers, she looked back at the ginger male. “I did not want to be disturbed while I was writing the new lines to my poem. Sorry if you could not reach me.”
“That’s alright.” Fireheart reassured her. But it would have saved me the trouble of walking here from the command station. “I just got back from the morning brief with Fleet-Lord Aktvar.”
Bluestar turned her computer back on to reveal a holographic image of a blue, green, and white sphere, a perfect example of a life-bearing planet floating in space.
“So much like Home,” She purred, the image reflecting in her own blue eyes. “The Clans will indeed prosper in this world, once it has been settled.”
“And the natives will surely give us little trouble.” Firestar remarked warmly. “Would you like to have another look at the image sequences? The ones the Volfren received from their probe.”
“Alright,” Bluestar softly mewed, “but just a few of them this time.”
After tapping into the hologram projector, the image of the planet was replaced by one showing a typical inhabitant: a tailless biped with red-brown skin, similar in height to a Mewtka. The being had no fur, save for what grew on the top of its head, which was long and black. It wore a strip of cloth around the middle of its body, and carried a bow, and a set of stone-tipped arrows.
The biped was replaced by one that was completely covered from head-to-foot in dirty gray-tan robes. A long-curved sword was slung to its side on a leather strap. Standing next to it was a long-legged riding animal with brown fur, a hump on its back, and an extended neck.
“That creature bares a strong resemblance to what FireClan use to have back Home.” Fireheart pointed out.
“Yes it does,” Bluestar replied while examining the image closely. “Now show me the image everyone keeps making fun of.”
“Of course,” Firestar purred as he skimmed through the sequence, passing by images of many different bipeds of various skin colours and other appearances. When he found the image he was searching for, he placed it on hold so that he and Bluestar could have a long good look at it. “Be hold, the great warrior of Tosev-3.” Both Mewtki observed this image very closely, with slight humour on their expressions.
It showed a native of the pinkish skin-type, though only his face and one of his hands could verify that. Protective gear covered the rest of his body almost as much as the robes did with the biped previously shown. A pointed iron helmet, with several dents on it, sat on top of his head. He wore a suit of mail of [slightly rusted] mail that reached to his knees, and heavy leather boots below them. A flimsy coat of bluish material helped keep the sun off his mail.
The animal the biped rode on was somewhat more graceful looking compared to the larger hump-back creature, and appeared bored with its job. An iron-headed spear stood upwards from the biped’s seat. Other armaments it carried were a straight sword, a knife, and a shield with a cross painted on it.
“How long would his kind stand up to bullets, armoured fighting vehicles, and aircraft?” Fireheart asked rhetorically.
Bluestar had been washing herself when asked this. Stopping for a moment, she looked at her Deputy, then at the image, and then at the swords that hung above her bookshelf and purred.
“Not long enough for me to try them at their own game I’m afraid.”
Firestar let out a slight mrrow at this remark. He knew how highly skilled Bluestar was at that type of fighting.
“Either way, they don’t stand a chance against us. Tosev-3 will become an excellent new home for us, even with a Colonization Fleet arriving here in another 20 years.”
“Indeed,” Bluestar purred as she turned the hologram off. “And I will have the pleasure knowing our Clan will be living in a place of reasonable peace and prosperity…before joining StarClan at last.” She turned her chair around to face the window.
Fireheart now suddenly realized how closer ThunderClan was to not only having a new home, but a new Leader too. He knew Bluestar since that day when he was a civilian kit, and she had offered him the chance to live the life of a clan warrior. Even now as a Deputy, Ship-commander, and father of two apprentices, he still looked up to his former mentor.
“Is that all Firestar?” Bluestar mewed, ending the long silence that had suddenly filled the Space-den.
“Yes Bluestar, for now.”
“Good,” turning back to face him, she got up and started walking towards the door. “Then you may return to looking after the ship, ‘exalted Ship-commander’, and I shall tend to the clan on board it.”
Later that day, Fireheart was at his own Ship-den [which was slightly smaller and less elaborate than Bluestar’s] when he received a call from the phone on his computer. The squeaking noise it was making meant that it came from the Ship’s main phone line. Had it been a private call from someone like his mate Sandstorm, or best friend Graystripe, the phone would have made a mewling sound instead. Pressing the ‘answer’ button, a video screen opened up to show the long whiskery face of a Rezput junior officer. Its beady eyes seemed to be darting around looking at the background of Fireheart’s Ship-den, as if some unknown danger was lurking off-screen.
“Yes?” Firestar asked in a commanding, but non-threatening tone.
“Exalted Ship-commander, and Deputy of ThunderClan, as you know, we are already well within Tosev’s system,” he squeaked in a voice that was almost a whisper.
“Well I have better know that already.” Firestar replied sarcastically, trying to humour the apparently disturbed Rezput. “But that’s not why you called me right?”
“Y-yes, I mean no, Exalted Ship-commander.” The junior officer seemed almost ready to end the call, when he finally calmed himself enough to continue. “Exalted Ship-Commander, I am Sub-lieutenant Skreeow of the Communications sector. Over the past few days, I have been picking up unusual radio transmissions, coming from this solar system. They appear to be artificial, and, and”- now he had to pause for a moment to force himself to go on- “from what I have been able to determine by the shifted frequencies of the signals, are being emitted from Tosev-3!”
Fireheart was so shocked; he let his ginger fur rise up along his body. “Are suggesting that the native Tosevites have managed to develop technologically enough to harness electricity?”
“Exalted Ship-commander, I suggest nothing,” Skreeow replied, now appearing more ill-at-ease than before. “I am merely reporting to you a new source of data that may prove crucial to this entire mission. I have already spoken to the Communications sectors of other ships, and they are obtaining such similar transmissions.”
Fireheart paused to sort out in his mind what his ears had received. “T-thank you for calling me about this Skreeow [he didn’t even bother with his rank].” He ended the call, and quickly gave a command to the computer. Sure enough, all the data the sub-lieutenant had mentioned appeared on the screen. After studying this information, he asked the computer for implications. The implications were also as Skreeow had said: those were artificial radio signals coming from Tosev-3.
In a near whisper he mewed out, “Great StarClan!” What else besides radio did the natives know about already?
Just like the holographic image of Tosev-3 had appeared as a planet floating through space, so did the actual world itself, through an armourglass window, appear as nothing but an image on a hologram. But to see its other side, Fireheart would have to wait for the planet to complete half orbit. Looking away from the window [and the world he would soon have to face], he returned his gaze back to the command station of Fleet-lord Aktvar’s bannership: the E.S. Fernier.
All the Clan leaders and deputies were here, along with the Volfren ship-commanders, and some Rezput war chiefs. The Volfren Empire’s Conquest Fleet-lord [and Head of the allied operations] Aktvar, stood at opposite ends from the large window that showed Tosev-3. Like many members of his kind, he stood a good head taller than the average Mewtka. He glared down at his own holographic version of the planet, whose real presence on the window seemed unwelcoming to the meeting. Fireheart hoped he would never receive such a glare from him.
“As we all know,” the Fleet-lord finally spoke. “The native Tosevites have proven to be far more technologically advanced, than what we had anticipated before setting off on this expedition.” His green eyes now looked at all the assembled members of the meeting.
Firesheart heard a gruff snort coming from Crookedstar, Leader of RiverClan. He was probably the oldest Clan leader [with Bluestar not too far behind] present, and his disfigured lower jaw made his scowling look as grim as Aktvar’s glare had been. His gaze, however was fixed on the fleet-lord himself.
“When we of the Clan Confederation joined up with your emperor’s Conquest Fleet.” The last three words the RiverClan Leader emphasised in a low growl. “We had been told that the planet that was to be conquered was sparsely inhabited by rather ‘primitive’ beings, and the land itself was vastly undisturbed wilderness streaming with clean air, fresh-water, and abundant prey-potential wildlife.”
The holographic image of Tosev-3 was replaced by a sequence of images showing Clan-friendly environments, and numerous species of animals.
“Now we come instead to a planet that’s vastly inhabited by ‘primitively industrialized’ beings that’ve turned much of the wilderness for agricultural and urbanized purposes. Pollutants fill the air and water as we speak, while the numerous herds and flocks of certain species that could have sustained the Clans for generations are nowhere to be found. If you ask me,” Crookedstar mewed as he stood up to face the Fleet-lord better. “Had we actually known what we were putting ourselves into, we would have strongly refused with taking part in any such mouse-brain expedition like this!”
Many white rows of teeth were bared by the Volfren ship-commanders at Crookedstar, while Leopardfur, the RiverClan Deputy gave a defiant hiss at them.
“Enough!” Aktvar barked.
The ship-commanders obediently, but reluctantly, settled down. Relief swept inside Fireheart, since he and Bluestar sat between the two RiverClan Mewtki and the more numerous Volfren officiers. Aktvar turned his attention on Crookedstar, who was still standing.
“I understand your frustration, Crookedstar. Had we known the Tosevites would advance at such a rate under 8oo years, the Empire would have taken the proper preparations for the conquest.”
“And why wasn’t such measures taken in the first place?” the Leader of WindClan, Tallstar [who was around the same age group as Crookedstar and Bluestar], asked as he too stood up. “Why weren’t more recent probes sent here first? Why did the Conquest Fleet set off now instead of earlier?”
Fireheart noticed the Fleet-lord becoming agitated with such questions that were beyond his ability to answer.
“Firstly, because my superiors back on Home did not truly for-see the need to take such measures. Secondly, by the time we would have received such newly updated images, and made the preparations, I’m certain the Tosevites’ technology would have advanced much further, making the conquest mission even more dangerously difficult to accomplish than now. As for your last question, I’m sure you were around to know that our Empire was still trying to expand on Home first, before making any attempts of other planetary invasions_”
“And your Empire’s attempt to conquer Home failed during the last three wars it waged against the Clans.” Blackstar, ShadowClan’s Leader added in.
Aktvar glanced at the large black-pawed white Mewtka male, before continuing.
“Besides, at the time we had not yet developed the ability for space-craft to ‘Jump’ across the light-years. By the time a conquest fleet would have reached Tosev’s system, even through the use of ‘half-light-speed’ travel, the Empire would still be facing a more advanced opponent than what had been anticipated.”
Both Tallstar and Crookedstar began to take their seats again, though this was more because their aging bodies needed rest, rather than their troubled minds being contempt with Aktvar’s explanations.
Firestar looked at Bluestar beside him, who was now standing up to speak.
“Another matter we need to be aware of about the Tosevites, is that they are all in the midst of what is either a single massive war, or a set of many smaller simultaneous wars across their world.”
The Fleet-lord became a bit more relaxed, now that the subject had been changed to what was happening on Tosev-3.
“Indeed it seems to be that way, Bluestar. We might be able to use this moment of their disunity to our advantage, if done right.”
Many brighten faces of agreement began to appear across the Command station.
“We must however try to avoid any cause for them to focus on fighting us rather than themselves.” Bluestar mewed with caution. “Nothing brings unity among foes greater than the threat of a common enemy. That was how we became a united confederation rather than separate warring clans.”
The Volfren ship-commander of the E.S. Fernier, Krien, stood and bowed to Aktvar in the manner of respect the Volfren used when addressing to one of higher rank, and waited for his Fleet-lord to acknowledge him to speak [which many Mewtki viewed as degrading and/or time wasting]. Aktvar calmly looked down at the commander of his banner-ship, and the Volfren equivalent of a Clan Deputy, Firestar thought.
“Exalted Fleet-lord,” Krien began to speak with concern in his voice. “Is it possible that we can overcome the Tossevites successfully? Along with radio and radar, they have aircraft and armoured fighting vehicles of their own. The new probes we’ve sent have clearly shown them.”
“But the weapons they have are far inferior compared to such similar types that we posses.” Blackstar was butting in again, “that has also been clearly shown by the probes.”
Cobrastar [FireClan’s Leader], rose up from his seat and confronted the ShadowClan leader.
“The Tosevites have a far greater number of these weapons currently in action though, and more being manufactured all the time.” The tan and dark-gray speckled male spoke grimly. “Our supplies are limited to what we have brought with us through the galaxies.”
“Do the Tosevites posses’ atomics?” A Volfren Ship-commander named Sturga jeered. “If all else fails, we can simply annihilate them into submission.”
“And reduce the planet’s value for the settlement of both the Clans, and colonists.” Rainstar of LeafClan mewed gravely.
“What other option would you have us choose?” Ghoststar of IceClan replied. “Turn our tails back Home, accomplishing nothing?!”
“I would rather do that than drag the lives of my clan-mates into an uncertain war on a planet that isn’t ours to begin with.” Leafstar of SkyClan answered back.
Blackstar turned towards the brown tabby and cream female and sneered. “If you didn’t have the strong scent of milk on you, I might have said you sounded more ‘like’ a worried queen than a real clan Leader.”
Firestar could not believe what he just heard, and neither did all the other Mewtki present.
“Are you accusing Leafstar of being a coward?!” Sharpclaw, Leafstar’s Deputy, growled at Blackstar.
“Not really, I’m just saying that her instincts as a mother may be fogging up her judgement. Not that having a female Leader with kits is a real surprise considering everything else about SkyClan. If Tigerstar were around I’m sure he would have plenty to say about it. ”
If all the Mewtki had been shocked by Blackstar’s previous remark, they were now totally appalled! Fireheart’s fur began to rise.
“Talking about Tigerstar has nothing to do about our current situation!” Bluestar growled, the fur on her pelt also rising. “We, the leaders and deputies of the 8 Clan Confederation, must now decide on what path to take.”
“But the real decision lies with the Fleet-lord.” Krien spoke up.
Fireheart looked at Aktvar, and waited for his response, as did everyone else in the command station. The Volfren Fleet-lords gazed at all the assembled leaders and commanders before him, then at the holographic image of Tosev-3.
“We may have to adjust ourselves to what lies ahead. But the weapons and warriors of the Volfren Empire, the Mewtki Clan Confederation, and the independent Rezput Tribes are ready. The Conquest of Tosev-3 shall proceed as planned.”
StarClan watch over us all. Fireheart silently prayed. The Clans’ fate was now sealed.

Thanks everyone [especially Hazelstorm] for your encouraging comments.
Yeah it is [the plural form will be Mewtki]. It's sound interesting, and when you re-arrange the letters you get Mewkat [Mewcat] or Mewkit. XD

Re: Warriors Worldwar Fan-Fic [Part 1]
Basically it's about Warrior Cats from Erin Hunters books [mainly characters (and some plots) featured in 'The New Prophecy'] as technologically advanced [with most equivalents similar to Earth's in the 1990's to the Present] beings. Along with Wolf [Volfren] and Rat [Rezput] -like aliens, they come to ('invade') Earth in 1942. By doing so, the human Axis and Allies must put aside the war between each other [on temporary hold] to face off what is perceived as 'the greater enemy'. To save both the Clans and the planet [that was intended to be their new home] from becoming destroyed, StarClan chooses representatives from each Clan [including the six from 'The New Prophecy'] to find a way to end this World-war. With P.O.V's shown from different alien and human [including historical and fictional. Most likely those from the original Worlwar series by Harry Turtledove] characters, this [if successful] will be an epic fan-fic for all who love reading Warriors, World War II (alternate history), and good old Alien Invasion Sci-fi. Hope this has interested you more, and look forward to reading it. Thanks.
