Highstone trip

First topic message reminder :

Iceclover streatched her muscles in the sunight, and padded into the middle of camp. Today would be the day she recieved her nine lives. Various cats would accompany her, while her deputy, SHadowstorm, would watch over the camp while she is away.

(Hehe. Meatiest. )

Iceclover returned with a two mice and a thrush. After everyone ate, they set off again, the sun setting over the treetops, painting the sky with gold and crimson. Tawnypelt stifled a yawn, hoping that they would reach their destination soon.

"We're almost there," Nightfrost said. Tawnypelt nearly danced with relief, but that would've looked rather weird, so she kept put with a slight nod.

The cats moved at an even pace for the rest of the evening. Cheesefur's paws became heavy as she padded along with the others. It was nice to see that Nightfrost and Tawnypelt had put aside their differences for the night.

(Heh. Cheesefur, now you're "The Feared." *dramatic music* )

"Keep following that star," Nightfrost nodded to a bluish twinkle in the sky, "And you'll be there." Tawnypelt felt the urge to snap, We already know where it is. Do you think we have dirt in our heads? but she was too tired. Maybe after Iceclover went in, she could have a short nap...

"Tawnypelt!" Cheesefur whispered. Tawnypelt jerked awake and realized she was half-asleep.

"Tawnypelt!" Cheesefur repeated. "If you fall asleep, I get to sleep on your belly-fur!!"
Tawnypelt stood up straight and marched along with the others once again.

Cheesefur likes to sleep on my belly fur? Tawnypelt thought, surprised.

But she kept on with the silent pack of cats, noticing that the other cat's ears were drooping and pawsteps slowing. Then Nightfrost reminded them which direction to go, and then suddenly the Riverclan cats disappeared too.

Honestly, it seems that all these cats are just ghostly spirits, Tawnypelt thought. But that means we're probably close! I can finally sleep!

Cheesefur ran alongside with Tawnypelt until they caught up with the rest of the group.
"Well, time to climb," Iceclover announced.
All around her, the cats groaned. They wanted to sleep.

~So, back to the RPG!~

Tawnypelt halted when they came to the place of the Highstone (moonstone?).

And stifled a yawn.

The rocks at the foot of the hill (wait...there is a hill to get there, right? ) were loose and rough. Icelover led the way up a narrow path that seemed to get steeper and steeper.

When they got to their destination, the three cats halted. "So...do we go in or what?" Tawnypelt slurred. She was tired, much more tired than she should be. Almost as if something had intoxicated her...

"We go in," Iceclover mewed seriously. She took a first step and cleanly slid down a small tunnel. Then, she suddenly stopped.
"There's a strange disturbance in the air," she concluded after a few heartbeats of silence.
"You feel it too?" Tawnypelt asked.
"Almost as if...something disappeared. It feels empty," Iceclover meowed.

(Heh. Wildclaw died? If you want.)

Iceclover padded into the cave. The rest of the cats waited for her outside the cave in silence. The only thing they could hear was the rustling of the leaves and a few dogs further off, too far away to scent them. No one dared to breathe. Then, a loud yowl pierced the silent air, making them all jump. "ICECLOVER!" yowled Cheesefur and raced inside the cave, followed by Tawnypelt and Nightfrost. They arrived to see Iceclover, wild eyed and terrirfied. "THE MOONSTONE IS GONE!!!!!!!!!!!!" she yowled.

Tawnypelt had been too tired to notice that Nightfrost had been trailing them after she and the other Riverclan cats disappeared. But now she did, after racing into the cave. Dread dropped into her stomach as her dream the night before came true.

The moonstone was gone, just like in her dream. After she woke up she couldn't get back to sleep; no wonder she was so tired today.

"But... how would anyone be able to take away the moonstone?" Cheesefur asked.
"It'd have to be someone who could slip away unnoticed...and find the way without any help. they must've known we'd be here tonight," Nightfrost mewed.

"Or maybe it was random." Tawnypelt added, though her heart sank a little more. The Riverclan cats also knew that they would come today, and only Nightfrost was still here. But she pushed the thought away.

"Also, how could they lug a huge rock out of the cave? Let alone rip it out of the ground," she added. Only Twolegs could do that kind of thing she thought. Then-"Twolegs! They musta taken the stone! They love sparkly things, don't they?!"

(Ugh! C'mon! Do we have to turn everything into an epic RP adventure? And, also, I DONT want to be god-modded. Thanks)

Iceclover sighed. "Yes, Two-legs do love shiny things. Is this a sign that we have to leave our home because it will be destroyed? Oh, whatever. Stone or no stone, I am sure Starclan will be more than happy to grant me my lives." Iceclover re-navigated the tunnels until she reached a cavern filled with moonlight. Sighing, she lay down and resped her head in the dip where the Moonstone used to be.

~wasn't my idea to make this an "epic rpg adventure." blame nightfrost for that and the god-modding ~

Tawnypelt sat in the shadows. Maybe another clan can worry about this. Or tomorrow, they can go send a raid to the twoleg nest to see if they can find the moonstone.But how will they bring it back? she thought.

Oh, you know what? I'm going to sleep, she concluded, and promptly began to snore. (yay me)

(sorry if i god modded you accidentally iceclover . and can Twolegs really fit into the tunnel that leads down to the stone? )

Cheesefur laid her head down and closed her eyes. The room felt cold and empty. Was it because the stone wasn't there? Cheesefur couldn't tell.

In her sleep, Tawnypelt shivered. She snuggled closer to Cheesefur and her fluffy fur (YAY FLUFF!). And then went back to sleep. Whatever they would do for the Moonstone, that will be solved more easily if they weren't all sleepy.

In her dreams, she was prancing in an open field after a sky-blue butterfly. And then she fell into a hole. Where it was dark. And cold. And damp.

"Um... Should I go...?" asked Nightfrost. She felt like an intruder, with all these ShadowClan cats around. "Okay..." They were all already asleep. "I'm... just gonna... sleep over... here..." she muttered and lay down a few paces away.

Cheesefur dreamt that she was sleeping on a piece of bread. Then a giant Twoleg came up and ate her.

Meanwhile.....

Brightstar groaned. Her dreams had been restless and confusing. She'd been scrambling over unfamilier stones, searching for something she couldn't remember. "Maybe Nightfrost can help..." she muttered and padded to the warriors' den. Heaps of fur were curled among the moss and bracken. As Brightstar was searching for Nightfrost's grey pelt among the cats, Stonestream rolled over and flopped onto Brightstar's paws. "Great StarClan!" Brightstar yelped, waking Maplestream. The tabby she-cat raised her head sleepily. "Brightstar? What is it?" "Searching for Nightfrost." Maplestream flicked her tail. "She went out a little bit after twilight, just as the moon was rising. Probably night hunting." "Night hunting? Nightfrost doesn't do that much. She's too busy with patrols," Brightstar sighed and backed out of the den. She sat by a clump of ferns, watching the bramble entrance. "Brightstar! I just came back from keeping watch." Snowdapple was padding toward her. "Have you seen Nightfrost?" Brightstar asked anxiously. The white she-cat yawned and nodded. "Heading toward Highstones." "Highstones!"Brightstar murmured. "Nightfrost, what in the name of StarClan were you doing?"

~Let me tell you what she was doing-tracking some Shadowclan cats and falling asleep with them ~

Tawnypelt woke up. Cheesefur was still snoring gently next to her, and Nightfrost was hidden in some dark shadow a few tail-lengths away. Cheesefur murmured something about bread-What in Starclan is bread? Tawnypelt wondered. Then light footsteps of cats and voices trickled down the cave/tunnel thing, and Tawnypelt froze.

~Maybe the riverclan cats coming to find Nightfrost?~
