Stonepaw finally ended the battle with a blow to Hailpaw's side. That's his one weak spot. he thought. Hailpaw fell to the ground, grimacing. Dang it! He knew my weak spot! Hailpaw hissed in his thoughts. Stonepaw picked his brother up by the scruff.

Yellowfang was enjoying the apprentices fighting, Fallensnow could tell. Yellowfang chuckled very quietly so the apprentices couldn't hear. "What do you think, Yellowfang?" Fallensnow whispered. "I think they should be mentors, but I just want to watch them fight." Yellowfang replied quietly. She chuckled quietly again.

Hailpaw struggled in his brother's strong jaws. Since when has he gotten so strong? he though bewilderdly. Stonepaw shook his brother and threw him across the clearing with ease. Hailpaw yowled and spun frantically in the air, trying to land on his paws. Stonepaw merely watched his brother a he was airborn, his expression shocked.

"Stonepaw is good." Yellowfang meowed, "He should be a mentor for sure."

~Should Hailpaw not become a mentor and he gets jealous of his brother?~

(Sure!) Stonepaw narrowed his eyes as his brother landed painfully on his side. "I'm done." he mewed boredly. He padded over to his brother all the while thinking I hate fighting him. He's my brother and it doesn't seem right to hurt him... Stonepaw gently pulled his brother to his paws. "Thanks." Hailpaw muttered. He's so strong...it's not fair! Hailpaw thought bitterly.

"I have come to my decision." Yellowfang meowed. "Stonepaw will be a mentor, but Hailpaw, I'm sorry, but you will not." Yellowfang meowed. She padded away.

Hailpaw frowned. Why did he get chosen while I fought just as good? he thought venomously. Stonepaw remained emotionless. Why didn't she choose Hailpaw too? He did pretty good! he thought, confused. He looked at his brother with apoligetic eyes. "Sorry." he mewed sincerly. Hailpaw snorted. "Whatever, I don't care."

"Are you ok, Hailpaw?" Fallensnow asked, "You seem upset. I'm so sorry you weren't chosen."

"I'm fine. I'm gonna go for a walk." Hailpaw mewed and padded off. Stonepaw looked at his paws. He's angry. He's like dad when he's mad. Stonepaw shivered as he remembered his father's constant abuse. He'd protected Hailpaw and gotten many scars in the process.

"Ok. Goodbye!" Fallensnow called. She padded away, knowing that Hailpaw was jealous of his brother. He'll be alright. she told herself.

"How about my apprentice?" Shimmerfur asked Yellowfang, glancing at Hailpaw in pity.

Stonepaw shivered and stared after his brother, his fur rising in alarm as he relised his brother's jealousy. I just won't bring it up and make up for it. Why did he look so much like our father...it scares me. Stonepaw thought, his thoughts jumbling into one loud headach. He grimaced and layed down beneath a willow tree.

Spiritpaw had wanted to walk out of behind some rocks but decided that she should sit there and watch these mysterious cats. I wonder if anyone knows who I am I even wonder if anyone knows anyone. I have heard of some of these cats but have they heard of me i wonder if anyone in my clan misses my or if they even remember me I hope that my best friend Graypaw will be okay I hope I will see her here and not in the dark forest. As Spiritpaw thought she realized that this place was not as bad as she thought that it would be

"Yellowfang, wait!" Fallensnow called. Yellowfang stopped and Fallensnow ran after her. "Can we train any young warriors?" Fallensnow asked. "Well, I think the Dark Forest is doing that, so yes." Yellowfang replied. "Well, I would like to train Fireblaze of WindClan. Please...?" Fallensnow meowed hopfully. "Well... um... I guess so. Now please leave me alone!" Yellowfang hissed, then she padded away.
