Blackheart emerged from the warriors den, cautious and alert. "What happened?" she asked, her eyes narrowing.

"What do you mean? My kits or the herb patch gone?" Silverstar asked.

"What? What's happened?" Dawnsky echoed, glancing at Blackheart.

"The herb patch has been cleared out! Someone stole them!" Birdsong exclaimed.

Blackheart let out a wail. "Someone stole our medicine supplies." She drew her lips back into a snarl.

"I'm. Going. After. Them. Watch. Me." she hissed, preparing to stomp out of the camp.

"No! Spy on the herb patch and see if anyone comes." Silverstar ordered, "Then you can attack them."

"Wait!" Dawnsky cried. "It could've been birds," she meowed. "Let's not start jumping to conclusions." She nodded at Blackheart. "But maybe we should go investigate the place."

Blackheart sank her claws into the ground, her eyes narrowed menacingly. "Sure thing Silverstar." She settled next to the medicine cat's den.

"You can go right now if you want to. We will switch out every once in a while so you can take breaks. Silverstar meowed, "Blackheart, do you want to go first?"

"I'll go with you," Dawnsky offered, glancing at Siverstar,.

Blackheart nodded, her claws unsheathed, glittering in the sunlight.

"Should we go now?" she asked.

"Yes. We need to know who it is." Silverstar meowed, anger in her voice.

Blackheart leaped to her paws. "I'm going!" she hissed.

"Ok. Blackheart will go first then Dawnsky." Silverstar meowed, "Good luck!"

Blackheart nodded.

"I want to go too!" Dawnsky declared.

Darkcloud came into camp carrying a few birds.

"You're gong second!" Silverstar replied.

"Why don't we go in pairs in case there's a patrol out there?" Blackheart asked.

"Good idea. All thhree of you can go together." Silverstar replied.

Blackheart nodded.

"Okay," Dawnsky agreed. "And maybe we should bring an apprentice too? We could send he or her back to warn you in case of a fight and we're outnumbered."
