A little kit on the edge of a Thunderpath... RPG

Applefur padded through the territory keeping a look out for any intruders. She lifted her nose and breathed in deeply. I smell.. a Thunderpath and something else very faint ... a kit?! Applefur raced forward and saw a small light ginger kit laying next to a Thunderpath. Applefur padded forward slowly. There was only one kit and two more lay beside the alive kit dead. The one little kit was sleeping. She peered down to look at the two dead kits. Their sides seemed crushed and one had a gash on its head. Grief struck her heart for the sleeping kit and the two dead ones. She winced and clenched her teeth at the sight of the poor sleeping kit. It was covered in blood and her ear was torn. She moved the little kits away from the Thunderpath and into the territory more. The sleeping kit opened her eyes. "Who are you?" She croaked. "My name is Applefur of WindClan." The kit tilted her head. "My name is Morningkit, my mother Breezefur left us on the Thunderpath. She said to stay there and wait for her and to not move no matter what. We listened to her. She never came back. Of course we had moved. We had learnt to hunt and everything then. Yesterday... me and my siblings were crossing the Thunderpath when a car hit all three of us. Cherrykit my sister and Treekit are both... dead." Applefur nuzzled the kit. "Dont worry little one. It will be alright." Applefur said.

Kittykitty led Moonpaw toward the thunderpath only to find Applefur crouched over three limp bodies but as they neared she noticed only was breathing. Great Starclan! Poor little scrapes!! she thought as they neared the sight. " Applefur! Great Starclan what happened to those kit!?" Then she saw teh two dead ones had crushed rib cages and one had a large gash one its head. Grief struck her hearder than the moorlands strongest wind. " Applefur.....what.....what happened?" she wailed quietly, and then bowed her head and picked one od the dead kits in her mouth and gingerly nodded to Moonpaw who bowed her head and plucked the dead kit up.

Applefur licked Morningkit. "This is Morningkit. Their mother abandoned them. Her brother and sister were run over. We should take them to Honeystar." Applefur whispered. "Come little one. You will be safe well fed and warm soon." Morningkit looked up at them. "Thank you." She whispered.

Why would any cat leave their kits on the Thunderpa- Moonpaw realized as she picked up the one kit's dead body. so that they could be killed by a monster!!!!!

Honeystar was out training with Stormpaw when he noticed Applefur, Kitty and Moonpaw heading towards the camp. Each of them was carrying a kit. Only the one Applefur was carrying seemed alive.
"Applefur, what happened? Where'd you find those kits?" Horror took over him as he saw the condition the two dead kits were.

Kitty whispered " There mother left them to die.......I wish that these kits weren't punished by thier mother for nothing!" She began to cry, hot tears welled at her eyes and soaked her face,and streaked the little she-kits face, ridding her face of blood a little.

Applefur placed her tail on Kitty's back and led her inside the camp. "Lay them down here. I have some milk left to nurse Morningkit back to health. I'll be in the nursery and please fetch me some very warm moss for Morningkit." Applefur said. Then she padded in the direction of the nursery. "Oh and Honeystar I'll explain everything in a moment."

Kitty sighed and mewed sadly " What about those tw-" she couldn't finsh she felt sick, and so she sat down as Moonpaw fetched moss for Applefur and Morningkit. She sobbed, and then stumbled out of the den,crying and stumbled out to the training hollow and pulled the moos together and snugled up.

Meanwhile in the nursery Applefur was licking Morningkit clean. As she slept she discovered something very unusual. On her neck there was a scar of a claw scratch. She examined it a little closely. It was the scratch of a cat. Her eyes widened and she gasped. Morningkit opened her eyes. She lifted her head and looked around. "Where am I?" She asked breathless. "WindClan camp. You are safe little one I promise." Morningkit blinked her eyes. "Can I tell you something Applefur?" Applefur nodded. "Of course." She replied. "There is something you need to know. My mother... Breezefur is part of a band of rouges. I suspect she didnt want us to stop her or to get in her way. She told us to wait on the Thunderpath cause she knew one day we would die." She grew silent. "You have to stop them Applefur!" Morningkit squealed. "Morningkit most rouges aren't clan cats so why does your mother and you and your siblings have clan cat names?" Morningkit pricked her ears. "We used to be of ThunderClan. Anyway..." Morningkit jumped to her paws with amazing strength based on her condition. "We got to stop those rouges Applefur we just gotta!" She cried. Applefur's eyes widened. "Do not worry little one get your rest and we will figure this out later dear." Morningkit sunk down in her nest and sighed. "Alright." Morningkit said smiling. Then she fell asleep.

"Any mother who abandons their kits, does not deserve have them. Especially those who actually try to have them killed!" Honeystar spoke in a growl that was soft as distant thunder. His whole body seemed to shiver for reasons other than the wind, and his flexing claws dug deep into the soil. Trying his best not to break into tears before his clanmates [but to no avail], he mewed. "We shall give... Cherrykit, and Treekit... a vigil, and let StarClan take care of them."

Applefur raised her head. Hearing Honeystar say they would have a vigil. She licked Morningkit's head. She woke up. "What's going on?" She asked. "Morningkit would you like to come for your siblings vigal?" She asked her gently. "O-ok." Morningkit said. She wiped her eyes. Applefur put her tail around her shoulders and led her out of the nursery.

Kitty gasped as she heard " Kill the mother..." As she returned to camp she had hopde that they would finsh that miserable mother offf!!!!!!!She raced to Honeystar and snarled " Honeystar, I would like to be part of the battle patrol!!"

Applefur and Morningkit padded over to Kitty and Honeystar. "We dont know if were fighting yet. We also dont know what were up against. We'll have to have a patrol to follow the scent of the rouge and find the camp. Then we will have to see if its a big group. But I think we should wait a little." Applefur said.

Kitty hissed then bowed her head the mewed " Honeystar, may I lead one of the patrols to check out the rouges?" She flexed her claws then swiftly flicked her tail and her eyes glazed...I wonder how my kits are doing???? she thouught sadly

"I agree Applefur," said Honeystar. "We have no idea about the location of these rogues or their numbers." turning to Kitty he replied. "Very well Kitty, you may lead the patrol."

Kitty dipped her head gratefuly, and mewed " And whom shall I take?"

"Wait!" Applefur cried. "We should wait. Its too soon to be going on looking for rouges. It just causes trouble. Honeystar can we go on the patrol at dawn Morningkit will be well by then." Morningkit nodded, "I cant fight but I can show you where she ran off once I have my strength back." Morningkit said smiling.

Kitty lashed her tail and turned around to glower at Applefur and hissed " Applefur, you know if we wait, the rouges could move and it will be harded to find them!" then she rounded on Honeystar to begg " Please let me take a patrol now!"

Honeystar decided to compromise the situation.
"Alright Kitty, you may take a patrol, but only for observation purposes. Take a small group with you, and return to the Thunderpath where the kits were found. Perhaps the mother or some of the other rogues will come. If you think you can safely follow them you can, but remember! You are only acting as a scouting patrol, that's all. The minute the situation becomes too risky you will return back here." Turning towards Applefur he continued. "In the mean time, I will send word to the other Clans about what has happened. Rogues like these are enemies to all who follow the Warrior Code! And if they have former clan cats among them, then we will need all the help we can get to stop them, before they do much worse."

Applefur narrowed her eyes. She was quite mad. Applefur could tell Kitty was eager which was very good and a great quality for a good warrior. But sometimes you must learn to wait. She ignored her anger and turned to Honeystar. "Are we doing this right now?" She asked him. Morningkit looked at her. Applefur sniffed Morningkit. Her ear was still torn and now you could see where the monster had hit her which was also in her side like her brother and sister. She sighed heavily. "Well, Kitty if your leading a patrol I would like to come. But of course Kitty you may still lead the patrol but I want to check things out." She added.

Streamfur was patrolling the Windclan border when she scented a rouge cat. She followed the scent trail and found a rouge she-cat with a faint milk scent on her. She hissed at her.

Breezefur who was padding back to the other rouges hissed at the she cat. "Get out of here! I dont need you standing around here in MY way!" Breezefur screeched. She unleashed her claws and aimed a scratch down the she cats face.
