Divergent RP

First topic message reminder :

This is an RP about the book trilogy Divergent. The movie is coming out on friday (for me at least), in case you didn't know.
If you haven't read the books, I'll explain the plot. The population is divided in 5 factions. Amity, Abnegation, Candor, Dauntless, and Erudite. Amity are the optimistic ones, Abnegation are the selfless ones, Candor are the truthful ones, Dauntless are the brave ones, and Erudite are the smart ones. Each of the factions have certain colors and emblems.

The Amity colors are red and yellow. The Abnegation color is gray. The Candor colors are black and white. The Dauntless color is black. The Erudite color is blue. In this RP, let's have this in the past before Jeanine and Tris and all that stuff.

Ray nodded to Jaron uncomfortably. He then turned back to the target and started throwing knives again.

~ Realised that this roleplay is kinda dying off c: ~

"ALRIGHT! SURPRISE TEST GUYS!" Jaron yelled.

"Everyone get into the center, stay within the circle," He instructed, indicating to the long strip of white tape on the floor. Rules are to eliminate as many as you can. The moment you're out of the circle, you're out. Scores and ranking will be based on how long you stay in the circle, not how many opponents you fight."

He eyed a group of rowdy Dauntless initiates at the back and warned, "We don't like it when you prey on the weak either. Just do your best."

With that, he blew his whistle. "BEGIN!"

Ray tentatively stepped into the arena, trying not to look like a target.

~What weapon do they use? Their own?~

~Hand-to-hand combat only I think. In the book when they fought, they used fists.~

Blythe stepped back next to Jaron and eyed the initiates thoughtfully. "Kind of early though, don't you think?" she asked him. "We haven't even taught them anything about combat yet."

~they had a square in the movie not a circle o.o I forgot which it was in the book~
~@Thunderclaw no weapons just hand to hand (what Nyx said, I was typing when she posted) they punch, elbow, kick, etc. oh and on your join sheet I saw you put that Ray uses a sword, well no one has a sword in Divergent lol it's the future~

Alanna's heart hammered in her chest at the mention of a surprise test. Immediately the doubts began clamoring in her mind. What if I get hurt really bad? What if I get out early? What if I get a bad rank? What if... Shut up, she told herself. She stepped into the circle. Jaron's words were directed toward the particular group of big, aggressive initiates at the back, she noticed. Alanna hoped she didn't count as weak. Her medium height and light build were more advantageous for speed than for the brute strength she knew that particular group of initiates would rely on, so that was something she wouldn't be able to use. She'd have to be agile and fast in order to win, Alanna decided. But she would also have to get a few good blows in. She didn't want the leaders to think she was weak. She looked around, trying to find an initiate her size.

"Just wanna see what their standards are," Jaron explained. "Sometimes, desperation situations requires desperate measures. They might even discover their hidden talents."

Ray looked around at all the people, sizing them up, wondering who would go after him, and who he would go after.
