Error in the Rules

In rule 5 in the forum rules, it states this forum is PG-13, meaning the content is for users above 13. I can easily see how you misunderstood what that meant but I strongly suggest changing it to say PG so users know that it is safe for younger members.

By changing that, it's also changing the content of this site overall. All the members would have to slightly alter the things they are able to say, such as gory RP scenes or slight innuendos as jokes on chat. Also, sometimes t takes a certain age level to understand and participate in RPGs. If we had a huge rush of new members that were 8 and under, I think their RP styles wouldn't mesh well. It just takes a certain age group's maturity in some cases, too.

I agree with Caraway. The majority of the players here are over 13, and the ones who aren't are like 12, so it's not a huge deal for them. In public school things were much worse. But anyways I know we have a few members who are in their twenties too, so moving the content rating down wouldn't be fair to them.

I just thought I'd point that out cause it could confuse younger users into thinking it might be an innapropriate site. I like most am 12, so I don't particularly care, but I am concerned for younger members.

Our youngest active member is 9, old enough to understand. PG13 does not state that this is 13+; even if it may confuse someone, it won't confuse them into thinking they're not old enough. Otherwise, WCF would have required you to give your age when you registered. It's optional to tell/show your age to anyone on this site.

It hasn't happened and it's unlikely that it will, since we've gone so long without an incident like that.

And then I say the "d" word (ends with n) and I get a warning. It is an error, I mean if it's pg 13 you should be able to say that word!

No one should be cussing anyways. This is a site about cats, not... whatever. So I guess it's pretty clear what age group it's for

Let's lock this before anyone gets more offended than they already are.
