Rules 3.0 & Policy Suggestions

Hello members,

WCF is currently drafting new policies before our Official RP release and the beginning of the 2013 RP Season.


Our site is based on members, and members' opinions are very important. The Staff want this to be your site as much as it is everyone's.


Please share with me your thoughts, ideas, and suggestions. I would ask you to be thorough and concise, as we need to understand what you mean and vague/ambiguous suggestions may be declined.


Version 3.0 will be released very soon as our 2013 RP Season kickoff is planned for this weekend. Because the new rules will serve as the basis for future rule modifications, it's important to tell us what you think if you have an opinion.

I like the current rules, they're actually pretty straight-forward and mostly common sense. Idk why some people say it's too strict - unless you were a thug.

I think you should include the few unwritten rules in it, like the 3 word minimum and stuff

I agree with adding the three word minium rule. Maybe we should also add the rule about not posting on topics older than 2 weeks.

Maybe a rule so people won't clan hop should be that if you join a clan, you have to wait at least a month before you can switch clans. The time limit might not be final. Maybe there could be exceptions, like when exclusive clans are accepting members, or when new clans are made, or if an inactive clan is getting a new leader/ deputy.

Maybe you can't be a mod if you bought a lower warning level. That would be used for display only.

I think a five word minimum rule would be better.
But maybe for roleplays, a minimum of three sentences? I hate it when people post really short roleplay post that don't have any purpose in it.

Eg. He waited for her reply.

I mean, there's no point in posting this kinda things. It's just spam.

So I'd suggest some rules:

General Site Rules
- minimum of five words per post

Roleplaying Rules
- minimum of three sentences per post
- must have a purpose and not just post for the sake of posting
- no choosing more than two high-ranked positions (varies on the type of roleplay)

There will be several changes in regards to the member-made RPG section, and I will open the discussion topic soon. Fortunately, these Roleplay Rule updates won't apply to Official RPs, so we'll see that being released in the next few hours also!
