Brightstar sat down in the clearing, lickinf her chops. The water vole had been particulary fat and juicy. She stretched in satisfaction. The camp was well-guarded. No cat other than RiverClan would be allowed without invitation!

"Thanks Brightstar", she said.

I'm sorry! Grr.... I keep getting mixed up.

"Let all cats old enough to swim join here beneath High Rock for a Clan meeting," Brightstar called. She waited patiently as RiverClan gathered around in the clearing. "Cats of RiverClan, as many of you know already, Mosspaw has completed her assessment and is now ready to become a warrior." Cheers broke out from below as Mosspaw and her mentor, Nightfrost padded forward to join RiverClan's leader and the bottom of the rock. Brightstar raised her head and declared,"I, Brightstar, call upon my warrior ancestors to look down upon this apprentice. She has trained hard to understand the ways of your noble code, and I commend her to you as a warrior in her turn. Mosspaw, do you promise to uphold the warrior code and to protect and defend this Clan, even at the cost of your life?"
"I do," Mosspaw meowed.
"Then by the powers of StarClan," Brightstar went on, "I give you your warrior name. Mosspaw, from this moment you will be known as Mossheart. StarClan honors your courage and loyalty, and we welcome you as a full warrior of RiverClan." Brightstar rested her muzzle on top of Mossheart's head. She licked her shoulder and stepped back with glowing eyes.

"Yes!" Mossheart meowed.

"I have another thing to announce. Two of RiverClan's kits have reached their sixth moon. I wish to appoint them as new apprentices. Cedarkit and Splashkit." Brightstar watched in amusement as Willowpool and Stormclaw fussed over them for a few moments before the kits broke away and bounded toward her. "You have been with us for six moons. Today, you will start your training." "Cedarkit. From this day forward you shall be known as Cedarpaw. Talonstrike. You will mentor Cedarpaw, train him well." Cedarpaw ran to his new mentor. "Splashkit, until you earn you warrior name, you will be Splashpaw. Your mentor will be Rainsplash."

Nightfrost was so proud of her apprentice. She went over to Mossheart and gave her a warm lick on the head, right between her ears. "congratulations, MossHEART" she said!

Robinkit watched the apprentice naming ceremony in awe.
I can't wait to do that! he thought.

Robinkit laughed nervously and mumbled that he was sorry for yelling so loud and causing a false alarm. He then pounced on Thunderblaze's back, "Teach me how to fight! I'm gonna be an apprentice but I have to be the best!" he squealed
