"And that amazing band just got slushied." Ani mused, "Oh, hi. Who are you?" And then she looked over Tawnya's shoulder and saw Nikia. Her heart thudded. He was cute! "And who's that over there?" She asked.

"I'm Tawnya..." She said, she looked over her shoulder to see who the girl was looking at. "That's... Nikia." She told her.

Nikia looked at Tawnya, and saw the girl in front of her. "Um... hang on guys.... I think I see someone better looking than me..." He laughed before heading over to the girl. "Hey, I'm Nikia, who are you? You a new girl?" He asked, without meaning to be offensive if she didn't like being called "new girl"

"Oh. I'm Katie. And I don't know...I'm new here." Katie replied, raising her eyebrows. She shifted on her feet and said quietly,
" Go talk to him. I mean nothing bad can come from talking..
But I don't get involved with guys.." Katie added to herself, and looked at Ani, and smiled.

Brynne shook her head and offered Khalid a shrug and a faint smile. "Can't blame you there. People are brainless. Especially when they don't know when to stop." Just as the words left her mouth, a brown-haired guy crashed into her, almost making her drop her textbooks. "Literally too, I guess," she muttered, before tossing out a quick "sorry!"

"Yes, I'm new. I'm Ani." Ani blushed. She stared into Nikia's sparkling eyes. Her green-silver eyes went soft as she stared at him. Then she stammered, "I-I usually have almost all guy friends. It's weird meeting all of these girls. Friends? Answer so I can change my shirt. Imma wear mySystem of a Down Mezmerize shirt. Ugh. Slushied on my first day."

Ren snorted and gave Nikia's back a hard bang with her fist. "Just watch where you're going next time, eh? Wouldn't want anyone getting hurt, bro." Although a friendly smile was pasted on her lips, her yellow-brown eyes were dark with irritation. Her brother being misunderstood and the stuff at home really got to her and today had been a bad day. The pretty bronze-haired girl was on quite the short fuse.

Khalid shrugged. "Some no-brain stoner stuffed trash in my locker. Made me mad, so I tackled him and startied swinging." Seeing his sister bang some guy's back, he narrowed his red tinted brown eyes and touched her shoulder, a question in his eyes. However, before she could react, he gave Nikia a hard glare. "Need glasses or something?" His voice was dangerous. Once someone made his sister angry, he was livid. But, somehow, Ren was scarier than him when angered. Her strength was very shocking.

Kristin turned around. It was break period and she walked over to the group. "Hi!" She called. "I'm Kristin. I'm new here."

Nathan grabbed his books and headed out of class," Hey Kristin!" Nathan half- yelled half-spoke to Kristin who was walking down the hallway.

Kristin whirled around. "Oh hey Nathan," She said. "You almost gave me a heart attack! So, what's up?"

Nathan lughed and headed to his locker, he walked beside Kristen."Good, How about you?" Nathan asked as he did the combination to his locker. He didn't open because something was in there he didn't want Kristin to see.

Kristin shrugged. "The usual. Bullies everywhere, blah blah blah." She opened her locker which was right next th Nathan's and took out her P.E. clothes. She and Natahn's all had the same classes so they usally hung out together.

"It's lunch break for me now," Landon said to no one in particular. He crossed his arms, dark eyes flickering about. "Anyone coming with me?"

Ren looked away from Nikia and smirked at Landon. "I'm game. We going off campus or to the cafeteria?" Opening her nearby locker, she took her black and blue checkered jacket from it and threw it on, pulling the hood up and shoving her hands in its pocket. "You coming, Khalid?"

Khalid shrugged. "I might just go home and sleep off the few days of out of school."

"I'm fine with either," Landon shrugged, glancing at his sister and the others. "Its probably mash potato and some disgusting veggie salads today again." He too opened his locker, dumping his books inside haphazardly and took out a pair of headphones which he slung over his neck.

"Mashed potatoes, gravy turkey, and broccoli," Brynne clarifed, grimacing. She stacked her books neatly, relieving her book-bag of excessive weight. Slipping her phone into her pocket, she gave Ren a quick side hug. "You okay?" Concern darkened the sapphire hue of her eyes.

Ren looked at Brynne and hid her emotions in her light yellow-brown eyes, covering it with a thick layer of light humor. "Fine! Just dreading our disgusting lunch." Se forced a grin and lead the way to the front doors. "S I was thinking we could do an out-of-campus lunch." She winked. "Come one Landon, Khalid!" The girl called with covincingly fake cheer. Ren didn't want Brynne to know what was wrong just yet.

Ani changed her shirt quickly and ran back to Mrs.Harris's room right when the bell rang. She sat down and got out her supplies, stressed. She looked at Mrs.Harris, listening to her lecture. Ani rolled her eyes and bounced her pencil, making it look Henry. She started drawing on her arm with her pen, writing names of her favorite bands on her wrist.

Kristin sighed. Social studies was a total bore. As the bell rang, she took out headphones, strung them around her neck and took out her Iphone and started to listen to music. She slowly walked towards the cafeteria, phone in one hand and backpack in the other. She stuck her phone in her pocket and slung the backpack on her shoulder. Kristin sat down. She wasn't popular so she sat by herself most of the time.

Ani put her earbuds on listened to her favorite song. She walked in the cafeteria singing "Sad Statue" by System of a Down. "You, and me will all go down in history, with a sad Statue of Liberty, with a g-" she stopped when she saw Kristen. "Kristen!" she smiled. She sat down and started singing again. She waited for Katie... Oh, Nikia! I forgot! Oh, Nikia... she smiled as she thought of the cute boy.

Kristin looked up. "Hey Ani," she said. She put the headphones back on and started to listen to Daylight by Maroon 5.

Something wasn't right about Ren, but Brynne let it slide for once. "Come on!" she waved at the two guys impatiently. The smell of school gravy was making her sick. Too bad for the people who were still stuck in class or had to eat at the campus...
