Veterans badge+Double Veteran

I have a suggestion, that every member who has been joined for over a year should get a special badge, Called the "Veteran's Badge", and for people who has joined for 2 years or more (those people will come soon), a "Double Veterans" badge.

(You could have put this suggestion together with the other one since both are on badges :3)

Well, I wouldn't mind if the site had more badges members could earn! Maybe the following are good...

Best Writer of the Year, based on voting of members
Best Artist of the Year, based on voting of members
Best Roleplayer of the Year, based on voting of members
Best Newcomer, based on voting of staff
Most Contribution, based on voting of members

Wow, and I thought I came up with a lot of badges! It's just that on this other site they have these badges. Starclan and Dragonclaw are actually double veterans! I have to wait another 10 months until I'm a double veteran...

I like the idea ^-^ Phantom's were cool, too. "Warriors Choice Awards" could be held or something, though a system for anonymous voting would have to be made and it'd be more complicated the more the categories. It'd be so awesome if this could work

A question, though, if you've been on for two years would you get both badges or would your Veteran one be replaced by a new one?

Also, would you like me to merge topics with your other suggestion?

It would probably be a good idea cheesestar. And the kind of media choice awards would be a good idea but maybe also adding other badges for something like completing a certain number of chapters on your fan fic or something so no one feels left out. Like for completing 5 chapters you get one badge then mayBe 10 and 15 and then have a special badge at the end as a reward for actually completing a fanfic since most members don't finish theirs as something special.

I like this idea. But I don't think the Warriors Awards would be good, honestly, because people could get mad. Ya know? I mean I myself wouldn't be offended, but still. But hey Just my opinion.

Well, Dawn, if you think, celebrities wouldn't get mad, would they? They never do. They're usually just happy to get nominated.

Yeah, well, nobody here is a celebrity. But still, maybe they wouldn't get mad straight forwardly, but I bet if you notice the will act disdainful toward the person who won. We better stop, were spamming. Anyway, I think this idea is good, Lunarlight. Not many people would be a Double Veteran though :O

I dunno about the ones Phantom suggested, because that could cause a fight. But mine isn't really competition, you just have to be 1 or 2 years old.

Double Veteran would be a really cool achievement though

as for Phantom's suggestions, people could be offended, but so many people seemed to like the Member of the Month idea and this is just like it. you vote for who you think deserves it. you don't vote against people you don't like, you're just showing support for a friend.
if you're not nominated or voted for, it's nothing to be sad about because the categories are pretty specific. maybe you're not a writer, or an artist, but you're an active member and that award just isn't desirable to you.
it's like the Olympic events, too. you shouldn't be sad if you didn't win.

I think these are all great ideas! I love the Veteran and Double Veteran idea and I like Phanny's idea. We could do anonymous voting so that we can reduce some of the anger. Unfortunately, I know this might not completely get rid of all the anger but I would just be thrilled if I were even a nominee :3 Just my opinion ^.^

I agree with CheeseStar's reasoning.

All the voting is anonymous anyways; you can't see who voted for whom, as far as I know. I think these are all great ideas and it'll be a great start for a new year on WCF! Giving each member that joined before the 500 mark may be troublesome though. It would be time-consuming, but Phantom's idea shouldn't take long after the votings. Keep coming up with awesome suggestions like these guys! ^_^
