Firestar Debate

I am now making debate topics every Monday :3 Anyone excited?

This is about Firestar. Do you like him? Tell me what you think!

I, personally, despise him. :/ As his first deputy he chose Whitestorm, and not his best friend! And he acts like his kittypet life never happened. He is sometimes disrespectful to his best friend Graystripe, too. f it wasn't for Graystripe, he would have never been a warrior! Ugh!!!!!! I absolutely DESPISE him. He acts like he was never even a warrior. I really don't like him. Enough said.

I know a lot of people don't like him, but i admire him. He led his clan during the BloodClan crisis, during the great journey, and duringthe dark forest crisis. He wasn't battle hungry, like some leaders, and realized that cats would inevibaly be hurt in battles. The reason he picked Whitestorm: 1. he needed an experienced warrior at his side. 2. He felt that Whitestorm deserved it.

I like him during the first 10 books or so, but ever since he stopped being the 'hero', he just got... less likable, I guess. :/

I agree to all of what you guys said, but honestly, I don't really care. Warriors has changed so much since the first books, and I guess I just flow with whichever main character there is, and when they are gone, I'm done with them too. C:

at first he was the stereotypical main character; he's always in the wrong place at the wrong time, following his own rules with his more down to earth best friend (who goes along with him anyway). it was fun to follow through his adventures of proving himself, but i think being the hero for too long had its toll on his fans xD

Well, he's pretty cool. He led his clan through a lot of tough situations. I mean, he was a pretty smart cat for a kittypet. He became a hero in more than 2 books and, that's pretty awesome.

He was the hero throughout the whole series. Nice ending Erin Hunter >.>

I know. Though it was sad in the last book.

I don't like him much...But kinda relieved. If Bluestar didn't think about the fire thingy, it would probably go like this:

Spottedleaf: Fire alone can save our clan.

Bluestar: You have never been wrong before, Spottedleaf. *Grabs bomb*

Spottedleaf: Umm...Bluestar? Are you sure about this?

Bluestar: Of course! *lights bomb up*

Ka-BOOM!

Spottedleaf (Spirit): ...

Bluestar (Spirit): STUPID SPOTTEDLEAF! YOU WERE WRONG! THE FIRE DIDN'T SAVE US, IT DESTROYED US! *scratches Spottedleaf's face*

Spottedleaf (Spirit) : Don't blame me! StarClan probably meant something else!

Bluestar (Spirit) : Like what? A flame-colored kittypet?!

So...Yeah, that was stupid. Back to me. I didn't like Firestar, right?

Blazespirit, the happiest part in the whole book to me was Firestar dying. What an old kittypet. Wimp >.>

I couldn't stand Firestar after the first series.

I liked him. C: He was an awesome hero and stuff, but as his point of view and importance in the story faded away, I kind of began to feel neutral about him.

Well... yeah, I did start to feel neutral about him too. Now my favorite cat is either Scourge, Tigerstar, Brambleclaw, or Lionblaze.

I'm not sure how I feel about Firestar. He is a great warrior and natural leader, always thinking of his Clan. However, I do think the Erins might have made him the hero WAY too much. I don't like how Firestar seems to be the solution of every problem. See an omen? Call Firestar. Clan disputes? Firestar will sort it out. Need a Fourth? Well of course Firestar! It's really starting to annoy me -.-

Uh, who's Rosethorn? Forestblaze? Why did you HAVE to change your name again? Anyway, I hate Firestar and that is final. Sure, he's the hero in the first few books, but he ends up being a jerk. *rolls eyes* Ugh!

Ok, now I'm kinda getting sick of him. -.- I mean, hero in almost every book? WAY too much if you ask me.

I voted "He's fine". He was so annoying in the beginning but him being a hero in the end make me like him, but only a bit. :3

I think all of us grew a little annoyed with Firestar but in the end, I have to admit I was a little sad to see him go.

I think we appreciate someone more when we realize we may never see them again.
Bravo for the ending though!

Firestar kinda reminds me of myself sometimes. I like him well, but I'm not exactly crazy about him.

Actually I thought there was one more really big important reason why he didn't choose Greystripe as his deputy in the books way back then. Correct me if I am wrong here, as I am sure somebody will but wasn't it just after Silverstream's death when he left riverclan to go back to thunderclan? There were very few cats that had accepted Greystripe back by that point and that was when it was most important that fireheart had the most support from his clan. He wanted a deputy his clan could follow so he chose a trusted senior warrior that even the rest of the senior warriors could approve of simply because fireheart was still young and he took over a clan after such a terrible situation. Hopefully this all makes sense.
