Nightshadow avoided Moonsplash. She'd seen the manic look in the small cat's eyes, and it scared her...

Snowfall cautiously approached her sister. She was covered in blood. Snowfall gently shook Moonsplash's shoulder. "How did it go?" she whispered.

"Let's get those scratched treated," Frostpetal mewed, helping her mate to lick his wounds clean.

Moonsplash growled, then looked up to see her sister. "Why do you care? Oh, are you worried about me? I'm not an apprentice!" she spat, laying back down again.

Snowfall stepped back, bewildered. "You're my sister... I care about you!" She began to retreat out of the den. "Well I'll see you later..."

"Hm. You never cared about me as a kit. You and Hailgaze just sat there and laughed." Moonsplash replied harshly.

Snowfall looked at her paws. "I'm sorry, sister. Please forgive me. Even if you don't, remember that I never meant it."

"Nice try." Moonsplash spat, trying to make her leave.

Hailgaze padded beside Snowfall and snorted, "What'd tiny do this time?" Moonsplash only growled rudely in return, and Hailgaze drew back. "Never mind then." He padded away. suprised with Moonsplash's reply.

Splashtail licked the wounds he could reach on Frostpetal "that was the most gorey battle i ever fought in." he mewed darkly, "So many cats died. Nightspirit, Tigerstripe, Coldshadow, and," he winced, knowing who killed this last cat. "Dusklight." he mewed, ans edge to his voice, the last of affection he felt for this cat faded There was a reason this cat died. he thought.

Frostpetal stiffened at her rival's name, but then relaxed as she thought, I have Splashtail now. She nosed Splashtail's ear. "But life will go on," she mewed, then added meaningfully, "and new cats will always be added to our number."

"You're right, but I hope I never fight in a battle like that again" he mewed. "And, I always want to be near my mate." He mewed licking Frostpetal's ear.

(Can Icestar notice she's pregnant and yell at her for fighting battle?)

Dewfrost patched up Splashtail's wounds with cobwebs. She discovered the carefully wrapped webs that were already falling from his neck wounds. Next, she chewed some leaves and applied them to Frostpetal's scratches.

Dewfrost found the wild garlic. "Um... Birchleaf, do you know where the goldenrod is?"

~Swift, they just became mates THAT DAY. She can't be pregnant already ~

"I'm not that hurt, do you want me to help?" Frostpetal offered.

"Let's go Hailgaze," Snowfall meowed, pulling her brother away quickly. Once out of earshot, she said, "I don't know what's happened to her since the battle. Maybe it has something to do with Tigerstripe's death."

~Nightshadow is just hanging around XD~

"You never know." Hailgaze meowed. He padded over to Silvershadow, their mother, and shared fresh kill with her.

~Oops. Some other time sorry.~

Birchleaf walked into the split rock to retrieve golden rod. "Here. Do you need Marigold?" He asked.

"Yes," Dewfrost replied. "I think you're pretty good with herbs on your own. I'm going to return to my Clan. Thunderstar probably won't be happy."

Moonsplash woke up with a crazy idea. I can lead the clans! I will rule the forest! She grinned. She was going to kill Silvershadow tonight... It'll be perfect. She fell back asleep. She was going to have to stay up late.

Birchleaf nodded to Dewfrost, "See you tonight." He mewed politely and continued checking the wounds of his clanmates.

Splashtail looked at Birchleaf, "May I go?" He asked the young tom "Yes, but I want you back here so I can check your wounds every day" the white tom mewed in answer. Splashtail left the medicine den in search of Icestar, he checked her den. "Icestar? Shall I see who is fit, and send them hunting?" He mewed to the leader.

Frostpetal got up. "Wait, Splashtail, you need to rest! I think we all need to rest. It's been a long day..."

Nightshadow padded to her private spot and lay under the small overhang, licking her scratches. [should we pretend Silverlily doesn't exist because Brightstar never posted here?]

Thunderstar sat next to Moonlight in the medicine cats den. "I'll get someone to do your job while you are in here," he meowed then walked outside. He looked around, trying to find the best cat to do Moonlight's job. Hailgaze was a good warrior, strong, and loyal, Moonsplash was determined and would do anything to prove herself, and Nightshadow was Moonlight's best friend, bound to know the deputy duties. He decided on Nightshadow and went to searched for her.

Moonlight watched Thunderstar leave. She let out a sigh. "What if I can't fight or hunt correctly because I can't see in one eye? What will happen to me?" she muttered. "I can't give up now. I'll learn again, I know I will."

Snowpaw walked to her den. She was the only apprentice, and she was all alone now. She could volunteer to be the Birchleaf's apprentice. She might be able to see her mother then, but she was told that she was ready to be a warrior. Maybe she would see Nightspirit in her dreams. She drifted into sleep. There were two paths. One was lined by herbs and one was lined by blood. Wind swept by, saying, "Your choice. Choose wisely." She wanted revenge on the one who killed her mother, but she wanted to see Nightspirit in every dream and help her clanmates. She awoke, still thinking about what to choose.

Birchleaf stood in his den and looked up to the moon a tear fell down his face, he would miss Coldshadow forever. He went to Icestar's den and called to her "I'm heading to MoonRock." He mewed. "Bye, now." He left through the exit runnel, and he stopped at the place he and Dewfrost met he waited for the she-cat to appear.

Dewfrost padded out into the fading light. "Hello, Birchleaf. I've told Thunderstar about this and I think we're okay. So, are you ready? It's a big duty."

~Um, do you mean making him a full Medi cat?~

He nodded to the medicine cat and mewed, "Hello, Dewfrost, how is StormClan?" He asked and began to walk toward the place MoonRock.

Splashtail sighed and walked to his den, he layer in his den and obeyed his mate.
