Acornstar stretched as she walked out of her den. Looking for Barklight, she went to the Warriors Den.

Eaglestar walked over to the fresh kill pile. After being on the Dawn Patrol, she was starved! She chose a plump crow and walked to the Acorn Tree to eat.

Barklight stepped out of the den. "Need anything, Acornstar? I can set up a dawn patrol if you'd like."

Larkflight picked at a thrush, not in the mood for this taste. She secretly bound out of camp in search for another bird that may suit her palette.

"That would be nice Barklight. Could you make sure no BirdClan cats have crossed the border?"Acornstar replied. She went back to her den to think. What if BirdClan decides to attack us today. Should I go to the Ash Tree? Yes. She thought. She walked over to Barklight. "I'm going to the Ash Tree. Maybe StarClan will know what will happen," Acornstar told him. She turned then left for the Ash Tree.

Eaglestar finished the crow and looked around. She counted every cat except for Larkflight. Where has that cat gone? Eaglestar picked up her scent and followed it.

Barklight nodded. "I'll see to it." He went back into the warriors den, saying, "Wake up everyone! Let's make ourselves useful!"

~Hey Cheese, can Barklight and Appleblossom be mates? :O~

Appleblossom stretched, and rolled onto her back. Sighing, she opened her amber eyes and she stared at Barklight sleepily. Getting her to paws, she stepped up to Barklight and gave him a good morning flick of her ear, then she padded out of the den. Pausing, she turned to look at the tom, and then she asked, “Hey Barklight, if you’re going on a patrol, can Cherrypaw and I tag along? Cherrypaw still needs to learn Birdclan scents.”

"No problem," Barklight said. "I don't think anyone else will come, so let's go. We an get something to eat while we're at it."

“Ok, I’ll go grab Cherrypaw. See you at the fresh kill pile.” Appleblossom mewed, and padded to the apprentices den. “Get up, you lazy pile of bones.” Appleblossom mewed teasingly. “Uhhhh…”came the reply. Smiling, Appleblossom purred, “Oh no! There is only one mouse left on the fresh kill pile!” and Cherrypaw shot out of the den. “Works every time.” She laughed, and the two made their way to the fresh kill pile.

"Hey, Cherrypaw, what's the rush? Here, there's a nice big mouse here if you'd like," Barklight chuckled, mocking the apprentice. He sunk his teeth into the juicy flesh of a vole.

Acornstar walked along the usual path toward the Ash Tree, but something felt different. She was by the pond when a fox jumped out and landed on her back. She struggled and struggled to fight back. She let out a meow for help, "Help!!!"

~if the leader's being attacked, let's pretend the patrol left ~

Barklight padded calmly through the familiar woods, nearing the border between the two Clans. "You'll smell BirdClan soon, Cherrypaw. Once you smell it, you won't forget it."
Just when they reached the scent markings, he stopped. It was Acornstar crying for help! He raced over to the Ash Tree, and pounced on the fox.

"Cherrypaw! Get in the bushes!" Appleblossom snapped, shoving the little frightend she-cat into the ferns. Leaping, she slashed the fox's muzzle, and it snapped hungrily at her neck. Appleblossom tried to leap away, but the fox bit down deeply on her hind leg, and shook her before throwing her across the clearing into the bushes.

"Appleblossom!" Barklight cried. Now he was mad. He jumped in the fox's back, Claws grabbing its fur and teeth attempting to get a hold of its shoulder. He missed, though. His claws slashed its ear but he was thrown off.

Acornstar pushed the fox off of her and slid out from under it. She hopped on its back and bit into its neck. She held on for dear life as the fox tried to throw her off. Finally it threw her off, and she landed in the bushes beside Cherrypaw.
