New Like/Dislike Feature!

Hey everyone

In an effort to improve upon our old Like/Dislike system, I've introduced a new system!

The new system improves upon one of the most critical faults of the old system: page refreshes. The old system, after a vote, "reloaded" the page. The new system doesn't reload - you like a post instantly with no page refresh!

Try it out and tell me what you think!

Update: Before, we had a bug where you had to have 10 Reputation before you could "Like" a post. That also has been fixed!

The only requirement you need to have before you can see the "Like" button is have posted 10 messages.

also, since i couldn't post on the other topic, the create a cat template says "cate name" instead of cat name.

Great feature, Dragonclaw! Though maybe you should have a limit for how many 'likes' you can give per day so that members don't go on liking sprees ;D

anyways, i wanted to ask, where are the like buttons now? or am i just blind?

They're under your profile information on the right side of a post just beneath where it says "Add as Friend".

Slight update from Tech Team.
We fixed the bug where it took 120 seconds between two "Likes" to register. Happy Liking!

On the old topics, it still has the old like and dislike feature. Noticed by CheeseStar.

thanks Swag not only on the old topics though. the first posts have the new one, but for topics that have multiple pages (ex. my gallery) the first few pages still have the plus and minus signs. i looked through the first page of the introducing forum and the topics there have that system, too.

Most likely, yes. Although negative votes is a way to show your disapproval with someone's post, but we had incidents of members misusing the dislike button and have any of you wondered before how it feels like when you receive a thumbs down? Its this horrible feeling, especially when you haven't said anything wrong but someone just wants to make you feel bad.

So... did I answer your question, CheeseStar?

Yes. Usually, a reported post has something to along the lines of spam or a violation of the rules.

Now, there are a few people out there that are still able to do a negative vote function, but they know a little trick
