Hey, people, perticipate in the fortress!

Emeraldmist got up quickly and backed away from the river. “Alright. I’ll be going.” She hurried over to where her mate was washing his pelt. “Cloudsplash! Are you ready?”
“Huh? Oh! For the hunting patrol! Sure,” Clousplash meowed. He got up and padded over, licking Emeraldmist’s ear. “Let’s go.”
The two cats joined the rest of the hunting patrol at the reed barrier. Maplestream, Brightstar’s littermate, nodded. “Max will join us at the lake.” The green-eyed brown tabby bounded out of camp, her patrol racing at her heels. In no time, they were at the lake. Maplestream settled down by the lake, obviously hunting for fish.
Emeraldmist’s mind wasn’t on hunting. She was still worrying about the Gathering. Would a war with WindClan start? It wasn’t RiverClan’s fault! Suddenly, a voice cut into Emeraldmist’s daydreaming.
“Are you okay, Emeraldmist? We need to hunt!” Cloudsplash was nudging her repeatedly.
“Okay, okay. It’s just that I wish WindClan would go and find their own prey!” Emeraldmist burst out. She clawed the ground, shaking her head. “What’s happening to the Clans?”
Maplestream overheard Emeralmist’s outburst. “The Clans will always be rivals,” she meowed logically. “But the prey eaten yesterday won’t stay forever in our bellies! We need to hunt.”
Emeraldmist conceded to this with a dip of her head. She stalked into the read, tasting the air.
Maplestream dropped her two trout into the prey-hole and padded over to Brightstar’s den. “It’s Maplestream,” she called past the over-hanging willow boughs.
“Come in.”
Much to Maplestream’s surprise, Nightfrost was also sitting in the den, with Brightstar next to her. “What’s up?” Brightstar asked. Her green eyes were shadowed with worry, but in the dim light of the den, Maplestream couldn’t be sure.
“You need to say something to the Clan,” Maplestream mewed. “Emeraldmist is worried. She could hardly hunt. I know the queens and elders are also anxious, and a number of warriors are also concerned about the impending battle. You need to assure them! Make reinforcements, extra battle training, anything to reassure them!”
Nightfrost held Maplestream’s gaze calmly for a moment before turning to Brightstar. “What your sister says is true,” she meowed.
Brightstar closed her eyes wearily. “Very well. RiverClan will get ready. Whether war is coming or not,” Brightstar’s voice deepened to a snarl, “WindClan will pay for stealing prey.”

Wow! Good, Brightstar!! I cant wait to find out what happens next!!
