Silver heard Rogue's yowl and nudged Shadow. "Let's go see what caused such a commotion." she mewed, racing off without wait for an answer. She then saw Skye and Phantom. "You're back and safe!" she mewed happily. Skye smiled. "Yes, sorry for taking so long, mother." Silver frowned. "What happened to your shoulder, Phantom?"

Phantom shrugged. "We met some RiverClan cats." He looked at Skye. "And Skye... she saved my life."

Silver's eyes shined. "I am very proud of you Skye and you Phantom for finding your sister." Silver smiled gently at her kits. "I need to talk to you, Skye." Silver continued, her smile fading. "What about, mother?" Skye asked curiously. "You're past." Silver mewed grimly. Skye's eyes clouded in confusion. "What about it?"

"Ah," Althea muttered. "Her past. Dreadful subject."

Even Phantom's gaze darkened at the mention of it. "Its for the best," he mewed to her soothingly, licking his sister's ears. "I'll be right next to you."

The group of cats went into the royal hall and they all sat down, waiting for Silver to speak.

Dark pricked his ears, waiting and wondering at what Silver is going to say. He narrowed his eyes and stared strsight ahead.

Rogue meanwhile was lurking in the shadows, curious to find out what was happening. She narrowed her brilliant amber eyes as she pricked her ears.

She recognized the queen's voice. "Your past." Past? What past? Was there something that they were hiding. The Huntress remained in the dark, curious to know more.

Shadow padded into the Royal Hall. Seeing the Prince and Princess he raced forward and nuzzled them both. "Im so happy to see you both!" He mewed. "I was so worried about you." Shadow added smiling at them.

"You're hurt," Althea added worriedly. "I'll get Estelle or Spirit. Don't start without me, Silver!" She sniffed Phantom's wound before running out of the room for the healers.

Silver chuckled softly. "Of course not, Althea." she replied. Skye waited patiently, curiousity burning in her eyes.

Shadow narrowed his eyes. "Whats going on?" He asked sitting beside Silver putting his tail on top of his paws.

"I am going to tell Skye of her past." Silver replied darkly.

Althea returned in a matter of minutes, with Estelle trailing behind with a wrap of herbs. "Start talking," Estelle meowed, waving her tail. "Don't mind me: I'll just bind up the wound."

Shadow immediatly grew quiet and he looked down at his paws uneasily. His eyes were dark and grim and he mewed gently to Skye. "Its for the best my princess."

Silver took a deep breath and started the story. "A long time ago, when you and Phantom were mere kits, Shadow and I found you. You were strong and beautiful, abandoned by your birth mother at the border of our territory and RiverClan's. You were dying of dehydration so we adopted you and named you Skye for your beautiful eyes. Shadow and I vowed to tell you the truth when we thought you could handle it. So today, I decided that you would be able to understand. Phantom has known from the begining. The only reason he didn't tell you, was because we told him that we wanted to tell you ourselves." she mewed.

Skye's eyes widened in shock. She looked at Shadow and Silver. Then, at the gathered cats, and finally, at Phantom. She was absolutely speechless.

Althea twitched her tail, her eyes sympathetic. "Careful now, Silver."

Skye looked at her paws. "So, I'm not the true Princess?" she asked quietly.
"Of course you ar-" Silver was cut off by Skye's glare. "I'm not the Princess by blood? Then why can I not be a Knight?" she asked, her fur raising in fury.

"Calm, Skye," Althea pleaded. "Shadow and Silver do not have a she-kit, a princess..."

Skye glared at every cat and stalked out of the room. Silver looked at her paws.

Shadow looked at where Skye had stormed off and he sighed sadness in his eyes.

"What should we do, Shadow?" Silver asked, her voice cracking.

"Give her time to take it in. Its a lot to take in and must be hard. She had thought we were her real parents but now she has just been told were not. Give her time Silver. All in due time." Shadow mewed nuzzling her gently.

Silver nodded sharply and leaned slightly on Shadow.
