Scarce Prey

Tawnypelt padded through the forest, sniffing for prey. The snow was melting, and the scent of reawakening earth flowed through the air, but the promising smell of prey was absent. Trotting near the Riverclan boundary line, she saw another cat.

"Nightfrost!" she exclaimed. "Is prey scarce in Riverclan too?" Nightfrost nodded grimly. "Ugh, now what?"

I didn't know cats could say ugh...
okay then.... um

"We relied on the lake to feed the whole Clan, but the Twolegs are fishing in our lake and scaring all the fish to the middle!! And with all the ice thats melting, the lake is starting to rise and get overflowed..." Nightfrost explained.
"That's terrible!" exclaimed Tawnypelt. "We are also having a lack of prey! The mice and voles should've already came out by now."
"What are we going to do?" asked Nightfrost, casting a worried look at Tawnypelt.

*they start dancing randomly* no, just kidding.

Then max burst into the clearing and they all flinched at the sight of the gigantic whale.

"AHHHH!!!! GIANT FISH WITH FLIPPERS!!! RUN FOR YOUR LIVES!!! " yelled Tawnypelt.
"No! Don't run!" Nightfrost said, and grabbed Tawnypelt on her scruff. "thats Max, a giant whale. He lives in the lake." "Oh," breathes Tawnypelt, glancing a wary look at Max.

~By the way, I took out the 1st book of the Seekers series from the library.... Gonna see how it is!~

yaaaayyyy!! *eye roll* finally.

I finished the second book too. It's... okay. Not as good as Warriors, but okay. It's just too slow, things don't happen enough.

*eye roll* well, they actually have to survive on their own, and they're CUBS. in warriors they have warriors and medicine cats and queens to take care of all the kits.

and back to the topic (why did you make me look ridiculous, by the way? )

"What is it, Max?" Nightfrost asked. "Um-one of our kits died," he mumbled. *heehee dramaticness*

*Ah sorry* um
"What?!?!?! No! Which one?" gasped Nightfrost. "Petaltail's," (I don't know, random name. There are no RiverClan mates.) he replied. "it was Tanglekit. There wasn't enough prey to feed Petaltail, let alone her three kits." As if on cue, a low mournful wail rose up from the direction of the RiverClan camp. "I should go," Nightfrost said, nodding to Tawnypelt. She nodded back "I get it." and she padded off to look for more prey.

--you know, I feel so sad cuz no one else commented on this thing
Nightfrost darted into the nursery. --

Petaltail looked up dully. He pelt was stretched frightfully over her bones, making her look several years older than she was. The tiny tabby kit curled limply at her stomach, while her remaining two kits slept fitfully. "We're all going to die," she croaked.

Nightfrost bent down and licked her inbetween the ears. "We aren't going to die," she reassured Petaltail. Then, Brightstar pushed her way into the nursery and padded towards Petaltail. "I'm so sorry," whispered Brightstar, gently. "But do not grieve. You must continue to feed these two kits, so that they become strong and healthy."
"She's right, Nightfrost nodded, and swung her head towards Ivyshine. "Fetch some fresh prey for Petaltail, please" she said, and Ivyshine padded away.

Suddenly Darkfire rushes in and eats all the food

"DARKFIRE!!" Brightstar and Nightfrost screeched. "What did you DO?!"

"Uh-I ate the food? Duh," he rolled his eyes. They stared at him, dumbstruck.

"Darkfire! In this time of famine, what IDIOT would just COME In and EAT all the prey!!!?!?!?!?!?" Iceclover yelled at Darkfire.

"Icestar!" Brightstar exclaimed. "What are you doing here?" Tawnypelt brushed in beside her. "Darkfire ate all our prey too. Apparently, he wanted to talk to Shadowstorm about some "deputy business,'" She scowled. "Da-rkfi-re," everyone groaned in unison.

*rips Darkfire into shreds* Okay, all of his obsessive mating problems are over, and the clans may have food again. Peace.

Brightstar clouted Darkfire's ear. "Beetle-brain!" she hissed. Glancing at Monkeystar, she added, "What kind of deputy eats another Clan's prey? Tigerclaw? Not even he's stupid enough."
Monkeystar's tail flicked irritably as he glared at his deptuy. "Darkfire'll get punished," he promised.
Stonestream stepped forward. His silvery-grey eyes gleamed. "They should pay us back in prey."
Nightfrost nodded. "I agree. Monkeystar?"
The gathering of cats all turned to stare at the grey tom.
Brightstar dipped her head slightly, her eyes narrowed. "It is only fair," she meowed.

"No!" screeches Darkfire. "Brightstar's a LOSER!"
"Quiet!" hisses Crystaldance. "Is that any way to talk to a leader?"

--Just wondering...where did all these extra cats come from? It's great, but it's kinda funny, like BOOM, whole hode of cats appear in the nursery --

"So, it's settled. Darkfire, you will hunt for Riverclan, Shadowclan, and Thunderclan," Monkeystar declared, still glaring at him. "This is so stupid," Tawnypelt sighed. "Where the heck did all the prey go?" "In Darkfire's stomach," someone snickered.

Well, maybe we can have a list of people who gives their permisssion to be god-modded. Just saying, you can probably god-mod inactive members. Like Wildclaw. Go ahead, god-mod him.
