Chapter 1(Flamefurs POV)

(12 Moons earlier)

Flamefur,son of Brambleclaw, kneaded the ground with his paws ready to fight. He had a sleek ginger coat like his mother but instead all four of his paws were white. Thunderclan warriors were ready to fight Riverclan who had attacked thier camp not a half moon ago. Now they were attacking thiers... With a yowl from Firestar they jump forward into the camp and instant choas surrounds Flamefur! Cats dart all around him and he cant see clearly. Suddenly a huge Riverclan cat pounces on him and Flamefur hits his head down on a rock - hard. Everything goes black...

Chapter 2:(Flamefurs POV)

(6 moons later)

Flamefur woke with a shock! What had happened? All he remembered was his head hitting a rock and then eternal blackness...
He blinked open his eyes. Where was he? A droplet of rain fell on his nose. Flamefur heaved himself up and stood in the wide clearing. Hang on... This is Thunderclan training area! He suddenly realized something... It was silent... No bird callings,mice scuttiling under bushes... It was pouring down now! Flamefur needed to find shelter!
He ran through the bushes towards the camp. He saw the hollow but then something made him stop dead. There was blood and fur on the tree... Blood...

Chapter 3: (Flamefurs POV )

Flamefur leaped back from the tree in a start! It was horrible! What had happened? What was this? He stopped and cleared his head. "Right. I need to think clearly...
What such cat would do this? Maybe it was a dog attack... Yes that must be it...
He walked away and kept telling himself that. After a while he reached the hollow and jumped down. Theres no-one here... It was at this point he really started getting scared. There was moss everywhere, fur on the ground and a few traces of some more blood... Flamefur made himself keep walking and he climbed up to Firestars den.
At first he saw nothing but as his eyes got adjustided to the darkness he saw a limp shape on the ground... Firestar? Flamefur crept forwards and studied the body. "Great starclan!" He cried and jumped back. The cat had flies all around him and looked green... The worst thing of all was the huge bite mark on its shoulder! Flamefur didnt even think it had a shoulder anymore! Then he saw a white piece of paper next to the cat. Something was written on it.

Sandstorms diary

Flamefur gasped!

The cat was Sandstorm...

Chapter 4: (Flamefur and Sandstorms POV)

Flamefur picked up the diary turned a page and started to read.

Sandstorms diary:
Day 1
Hello! My name is Sandkit! Im starting a diary.

Flamefur felt tears in his eyes as he flicked through the diary.
Her apprenticeship, hating Firepaw, her feelings for Fireheart,mates,kits...
Finally Flamefur found what he was looking for...

Day 196
Something terrible has happened! Flamefur is dead!!! He was a brave cat and died bravely... Also Mousewhiskers fallen ill... Whitecough i bet. Jayfeather should look after him.
Day 198
Im so upset! Mousewhiskers dead!!!! He died of a disease and now Firestars caught it! They start coughing then grow very ill then they just die... Icecloud, Dustpelt and Leafpool are dead as well.
Day 199
FIRESTARS DEAD!!!! No... He cant be...he just cant be... and so are Greystripe and Millie...As well as Bumblestripe....
Day 200
Im so scared... Mousewhisker came back today... but it wasnt him! He had yellow eyes and disgusting fur and he he leapt and attacked Squirrelflight. He bit her and she slumped to the ground... and then it happened to her TOO!!!

Flamefur stared. That was the end of it. It just stopped like that. There was a huge claw mark ripped through the page. A sudden growling sound alerted him. He looked down and Sandstorm was looking back at him!!!

Chapter 5 (Jayfeathers POV)

Jayfeather looked out into the rain in his compact portable shelter. He sighed, life would never be the same now that disease has spread. Many cats had been lost for no reason and worst of all... when theyre dead... they attack. He shuddered and turned away from the opening. He was in one of the 12 camps that had been temporairly set up for thier group. In his one he could scent Lionblaze washing himself, Dovewing sitting beside Cherrypaw and Ivypool. Whitewing was on a scavenging patrol along with Birchfall. He hoped no cats would die today...

Suddenly he heard a rustling and sprang up to face his attacker but it was only Birchfall. " Come quick, you wont becieve what weve found! COME ON! Quickly!" He ran out and Jayfeather followed intriuged. Brambleclaw was at the top of a huge rock announcing "...all cats of the camp come here for a meeting. We believe we may have found something to help our camp and a community as a whole. We have found..." He took in a deep breath. "...Weapons,food and medical supplies...and lots of them!" Jayfeather found hope swell inside of him. They could fight back!

Great, idea Lightningpelt! Sandstorm's diary was heart breaking, but I think it would have been more effective if the entries were more detailed. Keep writing please, it's really good!

Chapter 6 (Flamefurs Pov)

Flamefur froze and stared at Sandstorm. He was so scared he couldnt move. It was an experience he often had when something frightened him. Sandstorm stared at him for what seemed like an eternity then she attacked! Flamefur immedietly jumped backwards missing a potential lethal bite. He was about to jump back again before realising he was on the edge of the cliff. Unfortunatly Sandstorm jumped at him and they both tumbled onto the ground. Flamefur felt a searing pain in his leg but managed to pull him self up. He spun around but there was no sign of Sandstorm. She had vanished into thin air. "Great starclan" Meowed Flamefur "What have i gotten into..."
