About RuneClan
RuneClan cats live on a mountain. They live in caves and are surrounded by pools of water. They have made bridges of stone that go over the water and their camp is very sheltered from storms of any sort. They get their herbs from a little field behind the mountain. Every moon the medicine cat and the apprentice go out and collect as many herbs as the cats can. They have to carry the herbs up the mountain so the whole clan helps out with this process so the medicine cat cant run out of herbs. Each cat wears a "story" of its life on its shoulder. The mark is painted on the cats shoulder and the color of the mark is the color of the cats eyes. The cats make the mark out of berries and various herbs. If the mark is somehow worn off it will be soon be painted back on the cat. It is tradition that the medicine cat always paints the mark on the cat.

Echomist caught up with them and meowed, "Why did you leave without me?"

Stormstar led the way, jumping over rocks to where they had found the mountain lion. He lifted his head and took in his surrondings, smelling for the mountain lion. He tensed as he heard a roar. He growled and dropped into a battle crouch. He unsheathed his claws. "Careful." He whispered to his clan mates. "Please be quiet all of you." He added in a whisper just so his clan mates could hear him.

Echomist ran over to a patch of herbs and carefully began digging them up. "There are some cobwebs over there" she meowed as she pointed with her tail at the cobwebs.

Stonestep nodded and crept up beside Stormstar.

Stormstar narrowed his eyes. All of a sudden the mountain lion jumped out growling and roaring. "Attack!" He yowled. Stormstar raced forward leaping on the mountain lion's back and clawing its shoudler's.

Stonestep skidded under the large cat, clawing it's stomach.

Echomist picked up the Goldenrod, Dock, and Comfrey root she had gathered. She pricked her ears. She heard fighting. She grabbed some cobwebs and crept toward the fighting, but not too close.

The mountain lion roared in anger and slashed at Stormstar on top of his back. Stormstar slashed at the lion's back and slashed the back of its head. He screeched as all of a sudden he was bucked off its back. He landed heavily and slashed at its shoulder.

"Stormstar!" Stonestep yowled, ripping at the lion's stomach a few more times and running over to him.

~Thunderheart was here the WHOLE TIME. Okay? ~

Thunderheart yowled furiously and clawed the mountain lion's eye. It made a horrible screeching sound and jerked away. "I think I blinded him!" he called.

Echomist ran over to Stormstar with a mouthful of herbs. She quickly put a poultice of herbs on his worst wounds and put cobwebs on them. She didn't see the mountion lion coming up behind her and it clawed at her which sent her flying back to where she was hiding before. "I'm okay" she yowled to the warriors who were fighting. The scratch the mountion lion had left was long but not deep.

"Thanks!" He called back. "Stay out of this fight!" He ordered. He raced forward and slit the lion's throat. It clawed down at him. He screeched and slid to the side of the mountain. He yowled and quickly caught on the side of the mountain. His eyes grew wild as his paws were slipping. He unsheathed his claws getting a better grip. He slid down quickly a bit but caught himself. "Help!" He screeched. Stormstar gasped in panic as his claws slid down. Im going to fall!

Echomist saw Stormstar slip over the edge of the mountion and she rushed over to him, avoiding the mountion lion. "Grab my paw!" she yowled down to him as she held her paw over the edge.

Stormstar reached a shaking paw up to Echomist only to slid down more. He screeched and caught onto a branch. He unsheathed his claws holding on firmly to the branch. "Echomist!" He called his voice shaking. "Im ok! Ive slit the lion's throat. It will be dead soon. It should be dead by now. Dont worry! I'll be ok! Make sure everyone is healed!" He added.

"I have an idea!" she meowed to him. She grabbed a nearby vine and lowered down to where Stormstar was. "Can you grab this?" she meowed, her voice muffled by the vine.

"I think so!" He called back. Stormstar pulled himself up on the branch and heard a crack. He quickly grabbed the vine. "Start pulling! I'll help as much as I can." Stormstar called.

Echomist pulled as hard as she could until she pulled Stormstar all the way up.

Stormstar gasped and took many breathes. "Thanks!" He breathed smiling up to Echomist.

Wolfgaze was standing over the mountain lion's body, blood dripping from his jaws. "Its dead. Are you alright Stormstar?" he asked.

Winterfrost came running over from behing a corner. "Wolfgaze!" she cried, and rushed over to him, licking away the blood from his face.

Wolfgaze's eyes softened at the sight of his mate. "I'm alright," he replied cheerfully, nuzzling her.

"but you look hurt!" Winterfrost protested and nosed her mate. "I was so worried!" She licked his ear, and flicked her tail. "We should get all of you back to camp."

"Its the mountain lion's blood, not mine," Wolfgaze consoled his mate.

Suddenly there was a loud roar from behind. A shadow loomed over both of them.
And on the pile of rocks, there stood a second mountain lion.

Winterfrost yelped. "Patchpaw! I forgot about her! She's somewhere out there looking for herbs! Great StarClan, if Stonestep..."

Wolfgaze didn't have time to reply. He whispered fiercely into his mates ear. "Hurry get help! I'm going to try my best to hold off this brute."
