About RuneClan
RuneClan cats live on a mountain. They live in caves and are surrounded by pools of water. They have made bridges of stone that go over the water and their camp is very sheltered from storms of any sort. They get their herbs from a little field behind the mountain. Every moon the medicine cat and the apprentice go out and collect as many herbs as the cats can. They have to carry the herbs up the mountain so the whole clan helps out with this process so the medicine cat cant run out of herbs. Each cat wears a "story" of its life on its shoulder. The mark is painted on the cats shoulder and the color of the mark is the color of the cats eyes. The cats make the mark out of berries and various herbs. If the mark is somehow worn off it will be soon be painted back on the cat. It is tradition that the medicine cat always paints the mark on the cat.

Winterfrost blinked at him in terror. "B-but. You could get killed!" she protested. Then she hesitated, seeing the look in Wolfgaze's eyes. She started pacing nervously. "Okay, okay. I'll go for help. May StarClan go with you!" Winterfrost raced off, disapearing out of sight, taking the shortcut to get to camp.

Wolfgaze nodded at Winterfrost. He turned to face the mountain lion.

Stonestrp raced over to Stormstar. "Are you okay?" she asked worriedly.

Patchpaw looked up from some herbs he was collecting. "I wonder where Winterfrost went." he mewed to himself.

"Stonestep! Stormstar!" Winterfrost raced over to them. "There's second mountain lion! and Wolfgaze is facing it all by himself! You've got to help him!"

Stonestep nodded and raced at the mountain lion, leaping gracefully onto it's back. She bit into it and started shredding it with her claws.

Stormstar raced forward taunting it slashing at its face. He laughed and clawed the mountain lion with great skill and fierceness. The moutain lion growled and aimed at Stormstar. He leaped aside and slashed its eyes blinding it.

Stonestep clung onto the large beast and clawwed strongly with her hind claws.

Echomist froze in fear. She was stuck between the mountion lion and the edge of the cliff. The mountain lion slashed at her and then hit her toward the edge of the cliff. She fell over the edge hanging on to it with her paw. She could feel the rocks that she was holding on to crumble. She screeched as she fell. There was a loud Thump as she hit the ground far below.

Stormstar's eyes widened. "Echomist!" He screeched. Stormstar raced forward and saw Echomist falling hitting the ground. His eyes widened. The mountain lion turned and growled. He snarled and grabbed it by the neck. With all of his strength he threw it over the edge.

Flamekindler raced past Stormstar and bounded down the cliff, he was determinded to save a clanmate. When he reached the edge and bounded down he found her broken body, she might be alive! Just might be

"Dont go down there that way! Do you want to die too! That mountain lion might still be alive!" Stormstar yowled down to Flamekindler. Stormstar shook his head. He sighed and jumped down a couple rocks landing next to Flamekindler. He padded over to Echomist and leaned and ear down and listened for a heart beat.

Stonestep bounded toward the edge of cliff. She raced past the two toms, her paws surefooted enough to run down the cliff. "Echomist...." she mewed worriedly.

Wolfgaze's eyes widened in utmost horror. He immediately sprung into action. "I'm going down since I'm the lightest here!" he yowled, ready to spring down.

Flamekindler hissed " Does it matter? We just need to get Echomist back up here!" then he leaped down and gently helped her up and called Wolfgaze " Get down here furball! We need help!"

Stonestep helped Flamekindler lift Echomist.

~ Emm.. itn't it a bit extreme? Its a CLIFF. And you just jump down there and help Echomist up? ~

Winterfrost came running back to the place. "wolfgaze!" she called. "Are you alright?"

Wolfgaze was too focused on saving Echomist that he did not hear his mate.

He slowly leaped down, one by one on the steps jutting out of the rock wall. "Echomist!" he yowled, rushing towards her.

Stonestep gritted her teeth as she tried to climb the cliff.

Wolfgaze offered a long piece of stick to Stonestep. "Bite on it and I'll pull you up!"

"Thanks." she mewed gratefully and bit into it.

With all his strength, Wolfgaze pulled her out.

Stonestep nodded her thanks and set Echomist gently on the ground.

"Everyone ok?" Wolfgaze asked after all of them were rescued. The mountain lion was dead.

"I'm fine, but I'm worried about Echomist." Stonestep said.
