The 9/11 Memorial Day

10 years ago today, the World Trade Center in New York City was destroyed when two hijacked passenger jets flew into them, killing thousands and wounding the hearts of countless Americans. From the little boy who told his mother, " I want to go back there, and dig daddy up," to an old woman who remembers the last thing she ever said to her son was "I hate you," to all of the mothers, fathers, aunts, uncles, cousins, grandparents and children who died on September 11, we are all affected. I was only 3 years old when it happened, but I understand more now. Some of you were older and knew more. Please share your stories and feelings, and things you are thankful for in honor of this heartrending day.

OMG i learned about this in school and i was 1 1/2 and at the same time 1/2 years old ((i hav 3 birthdays)) my friend said that her uncle was late for work and wasn't in the twin towers at the time when it was hit because he worked there and was late Im sooooooo happy that he was late, and all the other late peeps but it still is sad, about 400 (i think) people died from crashing that 4th plane

Okay I was 1 1/2 and I was watching tv and it came on my ad thought it was a movie but it wasn't I cry everyday that i here about nine eleven.

We talked about 9/11 during 7th period on Friday

It is so horrible how anyone would want to kill people. Thousands of people.

It is. My dad worked in the World Trade Center, but on the day the planes hit he was working out of another office. A guy from his company walked in a few hours later, covered with dust and dirt, and clutching his breifcase. I don't remember the day at all, since I was four, but every year when my school does a memorial I start crying and usually have a terrible day.

I remember that day, because I was maybe 11 years old when it happened. I was at school, and they showed the live broadcast of the event at our library. I was completely shocked and terrified to see that happen.

I wish I could remember what happened, though. Maybe if some of the kids could remember, they would have more respect. Some kids were joking about people jumping out of the airplanes on Friday. I yelled at them. And they gave me a really sassy response. I almost cried.

Ice....I remember that in the halls...you should just try to be glad that nothing serious happened to (you know who). I think its a sad day and very horrible what those people did but...we couldn't do anything, could we?
