Rat Invasion!
First topic message reminder :
This is the first RPG I started! How exciting.
So the plot here is that mysterious attacks on the clan cats have been getting more frequent and is brewing into a major problem. More and more clan cats are going missing, and those who are attacked rarely escape. Those who do fend off the attack scarcely remember much, so the clans cannot figure out which animal is trying to hunt them to extinction. (We all know from the title of course, but our characters don't. ) The Clans must work together to find out this mystery and find their lost clanmates.
Thistleblaze walked slowly through the forest. The forest was nothing like she had ever seen. The air was laced with a light mist, and Thistleblaze could feel the mist melt into droplets of water on her fur. The sunlight was mostly blocked out by the tall pine trees, but the rays that did get through gleamed on the boulders around her. The dew that lay in the sun's path blazed to a brilliant white, and Thistleblaze felt like she was in a garden of rain drops from the sun. Thistleblaze admired the emerald green of the plants around her, and knew that the soil here was rich, letting the undergrowth thrive.
And that means food will thrive here too. Thistleblaze thought, eyeing a shrew that was rustling under a fern.
Skyeye was complaining that WindClan needed to expand their diet. Wait until I show her this! Thistleblaze forced herself to look away from the beautiful forest and look over her shoulder.
The sun’s going down, Thistleblaze thought, I should get back to WindClan before night falls. This forest is very far from all of the territories. But before Thistleblaze could make her way toward the plains, squeaks filled the air. The pattering of tiny claws on rock grew louder and louder, and before Thistleblaze knew what was going on, thousands of rodents swarmed around her, armed with sharp teeth and hook-like claws. Thistleblaze crushed as many as she could, but there was too many for her to take on alone. She fought her way to the top of a boulder, and what she saw froze the blood in her veins. Rivers of rats trampled everything in their path, and it was impossible to see the ground underneath them. Thistleblaze quickly realized this was a fight for her life, and the odds were stacked against her. Thistleblaze fought fiercely, snapping as many rats necks as possible, but it wasn’t long before so many clung to her fur that she could barely twist her neck around to bite one on her shoulder. Blood started flowing on the stone, and Thistleblaze felt her strength drain away with it.
“Help!” Thistleblaze called feebly, but her voice was lost under the rats triumphant squeaks.

Re: Rat Invasion!
Snowdapple gave Hazeldust a grateful nod before turning to Thistleblaze. A rat's head was still clamped on her flank. Shuddering, Snowdapple took the head gingerly between her teeth and flung it as far as she could. Then she chewed up more burdock root, her jaw aching at the thought of chewing more. She laid the gloppy wads on the wounds and wrapped them in sticky white cobweb. Gently, she took the WindClan warrior by the scruff and moved her to where Snowrose lay. She hesitated, unsure of whether to leap back into battle or not.

OOC: It was a part of the storyline for Thistleblaze's capture. I want to explain, but I have to go.

Re: Rat Invasion!
~yeah..... didn't someone say before? anyone can join at anytime. it's not like one of those traveling RPG where there can only be a few cats in a group... at this rate, we'll need plenty of warriors... i'll make this clear...~
ANYONE can join, as long as we don't need a limited amount of cats.
~hey, you have a planned storyline for this RPG, Stareye? that's new. i think. o.O~

Re: Rat Invasion!
OOC: Do you mean that in a good way or a bad way, Cheesestar? Anyway, i'll try to be flexible about the storyline.
The leader of the rats looked around at the fight. Many more cats had shown up, and he saw more and more of his troops lying still on the forest floor.
These cats have no idea what they're getting into, The rat leader thought, They're is too many of us for them to handle. Still, it would be easier to retreat now and attack them again later. But then, this is the last chance we have to snag the last hostage we need before they're unprepared. As the rat leader finished his thought, he looked at the battle and saw that his troops were trying to attack the cats, but it simply wasn't effective. They would need to change tactics.
"Rats! We must tire the cats out before we can fight them! Exhaust them before you engage in combat!" The rat leader commanded in a seris of squeaks he knew the cats would not understand. Almost immideatley, the tide of the sea of rats changed, and the rat leader smirked evilly.

Re: Rat Invasion!
A flurry of maniacal squeaks made Hazeldst wince, twitching her ears. The pushing mass of rats suddenly changed, instead, they were surrounding them dizzyingly. Some nipped at her paws, and when she tried to claw at them, her paws made no contact. She shut her eyes against the putrid writhing mass, fighting down nausea. If they aren't attacking, we might as well try go escape.

Re: Rat Invasion!
The rat leader barely held back a laugh of triumph as he saw the cats starting to struggle. He saw some of his troops slip into a tunnel with the golden cat they needed. The rat leader waited a few minutes to ensure the cats wouldn't be able to follow, then raised his head.
"Rats! Pull back! We got what we need!" The rats soon started to flee into the tunnel, and the rat leader was the last to follow after them.
EDIT: OOC: Hello? Did I do something wrong?
