Thank you all ;3 I shall post the first chapter now ;3

Chapter 1

Rain wailed when she saw that Tree and Berry had come back alone.
"Where is he?! Where is Beetle?" She squeaked frantically.
"It was those cats! This time a ginger male!! He-he...killed him. Then he just left him!! He ran off somewhere else before we could try and attack. Even though you know that never works anyway..."
Rain collapsed in a sobbing heap as she thought of the loss of her mate who had died for no reason.
"Beetle! Oh my Beetle! What will our pinkies do without there father around to guide them! I can't do this alone!"

"Let all mice who are old enough to collect, gather around the great twig!" Spring, their alpha called
When all the mice had crowded around to here their leader, Spring sighed. This was going to be easy to break to them.
"We have lost a great fighter today. Beetle was a friend, father, brother, uncle and mate. Now he watches over us in The Sky of Countless Berries. The loss of so many fighters has caused Flower and I to come to a decision. Today...we will leave our home to go live with our cousins, underground."
There were gasps all around, Cloud a mouselet called out, "We're going to live with gophers?! How in the heck are we going to do that?"
This prompted more questions and objections to the decision.
"ENOUGH!" Flower yelled "So many of our colony members have died! Why are you even complaining?! By living underground we will be a lot safer than we are up here! I mean face it! Sure we can fight off a stray rat or a sparrow or too, but CATS. They are out natural born enemies that we will never defeat. But if you want to stay here and die, have at it."
So it was decided. They would leave their home and go live with the gophers.

(Anyone want to write this with me?)

Chapter 2

Traveling to their cousins the gophers turned out to be really easy. The mice didn't even have to leave camp they had to just dig a hole and wait for Tooth, the Gopher king to come fetch them.
"Cousins!" he exclaimed and nuzzled Spring "Come and rest, you have been through so much, you must rest!"
"Thank you for having us, Tooth." Spring said quietly
"Anything for family," Tooth answered
He led them down a long tunnel until they reached a large clearing (well underground clearing) a vast clear spring was in the middle and many gophers were grooming themselves or having a drink.
Rain immediately began to panic, "What if our pinkies fall in?!"
Tooth shook his head vigorously, "No, no, no. See those two?" he asked while pointing to two very large gophers. "Their names are Claw and Chew, they guard the spring every day! And when they sleep, Paw and Spit guard. See? Everyone is safe."
"Why do they have such weird names, Paw? Spit? Chew?" Feather whispered to Cloud who snickered
Small, a very old mouse whirled around to shush them, "Don't be rude, these kind creatures are taking us in with no demands or questions!"
Little did Small know that when Spring had first contacted the Gophers, they had asked for something and Spring had agreed.

Sorry that was super short but I have to think about the sinister twist now. Haha.

I hope I'm not being a bother or anything, but I'd just like to say that I am enjoying your story so far, even if its just only sort of begun.

I'm very interested to find out what Spring had promised the gophers. :O

Same. o3o I love the story so far, it's creative, and it's coming from the mouse's point of view, which is 20 purrcent cooler! I'm liking it. <3 Poor Beetle...he seemed so awesome...DDX

I liked the beetle! Its turning out great either way!
