The Abandoned Cruise Ship Claiming War

Darkstar led her warriors forward, her belly pressing the ground. No one here. "FireClan warriors! The way is clear." Darkstar led her Clan up the side of the ship and onto the deck. Raising her voice, she yowled, "The Abandoned Cruise Ship is FireClan's!"

Brightstar sighed in satisfaction. Darkstar had not smelled her warriors. "Forward, RiverClan!" she hissed, her tail flicking the signal. Brightstar dug her claws in and leaped onto the deck, her patrol following. "Not so fast," Brightstar hissed. "RiverClan will fight for claim!"

Darkstar stiffened, stopping mid-yowl as she realized that RiverClan's battle patrol was much bigger than the newly-formed FireClan battle patrol. Shaking her head, Darkstar knew that the battle had already been lost. RiverClan was too powerful, having the most cats in it. Darkstar fluffed up her fur. "FireClan gives up claim to the cruise ship," Darkstar growled, hating every word she forced out. "We will leave, but be careful in the future," she added.

Darkstar led her warriors home in a daze of disbelief. How had the RverClan leader known that FireClan would try to claim the ship under the cover of a moonless night? Darkstar had hoped to be able to claim the cruise ship without war against other Clans. FireClan was newly formed after all. There wasn't much warriors, and the warriors FireClan had weren't very strong. Darkstar lashed her tail in frustration.

Brightstar yowled in triumph. She gave a quiet order and scent markers where laid around the ship. "Nightfrost." The RiverClan leader summoned her deputy with a flick of her tail. "Put the warriors in ambush and guard positon. There might be more claims made by other Clans."
