My Poetry
"I Am Thunderclaw"
I am the Thunder, that stops your start.
I am the Thunder, Clawing your heart.
I am the Thunder, that howls in the wind.
I am Thunderclaw, and my claws have you pinned!
I am the Thunder, that is my heritage.
I am the Thunder, that saps your courage.
I am the Thunder, that bellows in the rain.
I am Thunderclaw, And I can cause pain!
I am the Thunder, that screams in the night.
I am the Thunder, winning the Fight.
I am the Thunder, stepping in the Day.
I am Thunderclaw, it is time... to pay!
I am the Thunder, that sounds in the distance.
I am the Thunder, that comes after Lightning's stance.
I am the Thunder, That BOOMS in the deep.
I am Thunderclaw, I have come... to keep!

What does "stops your start" and "stepping in the Day" mean? And to keep what?
I think its a good attempt at making it rhyme

This is really good, but I think there's a topic for poems in the Writing section already. You should share it there and get even more feedback!

well...Stopping your start at winning the fight, at the day time, it turns dark, as lightning "steps in", and to keep the win.

Re: My Poetry
Ah, I see! Very insightful and well done!
Here's another one of mine I wrote a while ago.
Here's another one of mine I wrote a while ago.
Night
As each ray of sunlight melts away
the sky molts into a new glow.
a powder blue, radiating with the dying sparkles of twilight,
a brazen cobalt, baring the threat of harsh october skies.
the stormy azure, a breif ribbon, dignified echo, of sunset's held prisoner by rolling thunder.
Finally, the pitch black, shining with dark's aura, with the graceful beauty of a black swan in flight, feathers glistening in ripples like a clam lake surface.
It is here I can feel the gentle caress of a silent breeze, soothing and exhilarating in a perfect blend of bliss.
Rest here, with the peaceful winds at your back, and marvel at wonders and miracles night has gifted us, what the burning gaze of day cannot.

Re: My Poetry
Poetry is cool hehe
Canvas
Give me your brush
So I can paint my mind a fantasy
Hand me your eraser
So I can scrub out marks of misery
Lend me your pen
So I can write away reality
For you took my everything
And left me with insanity
^ idk what that is but yeah ouo
~
my mind is a path which you travel often
your footprints remain deep
my heart surrounds, tender
don't tread upon the grass
it's fragile
(have not my words pleaded enough? weakest sign planted in the forest)
hueh my poems are weird XD

Re: My Poetry
I actually find that Canvas poem very appealing, Noxe! Creating anything unique can be a very personal and lonely experience. At least, that's how I interpreted it, anyway.
And don't say that, Crystalfeather! I wasn't that good at writing poetry at first, but I got a lot better with practice. At one time, I thought I was outright bad at it, seeing as how my elementary school only ever let us write rhyming poetry. I am not that good at rhyming now, but that's okay. Poetry is limitless, without rule or law, and it changes and morphs under your hands and your soul. Find the emotions and people deep inside and let it out, control the storm within. When you can do this, you can write anything.

Awesome poetry guys! Haha I got an idea from Noxe' poem but I probably won't actually ever write it out
I'm terrible so here's a haiku
Look into my eyes
Try to pull out a secret
Um that is my butt
(Don't kill me if I seem to have implied something, I really didn't)

Re: My Poetry
Here is one I made today:
Despair
Despair is one thing no one can beat,
and everyone can say that by it they have had a defeat.
For everyone has been visited by despair,
and some have had more visits than they can bear.
Despair is evil. Despair is vile.
Despair can hurt. The very thought is like bile.
Despair has lived for many centuries.
Despair has made people pay to it their fees.
Like it? And chez, you remind me of Apollo from the Percy Jackson series. Not very good at haiku.

Re: My Poetry
I used to write poems but now I think my brain has fried along with Chez
I wanna share a really good poem that Caligo wrote!
A young boy, poised at the lip of an abyss, stretching endlessly down to who-knows-where.
(Does he know he shouldn't be there?)
He's tired, fatigued, beat up, obviously overcome with exhaustion.
(Does he know there's people who care?)
He's dejected, depressed, hopeless.
(Does he know it's worthless to throw his life away?)
He peers into the pit, judging the distance, the defeat glinting in his eyes.
(Does he know it's not worth it at all?)
The breeze behind him blows strong; almost topples him over. He stumbles, regains balance, and hates himself more that he's saved himself.
(Does he know this is a bad choice?)
He stops to think, then realizes there's nothing to think about.
(Does he know this isn't what should happen?)
He can hear the whispers of the people he cares about, but they don't penetrate the barricade of depression.
(Does he know it's useless to be like this?)
He lowers himself to sit on the edge, feeling the warm air rush skyward from the pit.
(Does he know he's got more ahead of him than this?)
He's made up his mind, his legs flexing to jump.
(Does he know this isn't how it should end?)
He's gone, disappeared, swallowed by the darkness, eaten by the shadows.
A painless death, for a boy worth dying.
(Did he know what life even was?)

Oh my god Chez your haiku's are the best
Here's one of mine c:
sometimes
my nightmares scare me
awake, but
reality is darker
than my dreams
so i close my eyes
until i've sewn
them shut

Re: My Poetry
I never understood Haikus. Here is another poem:
Without You
Without you I would fail.
Without you I would fall.
You save me, that's what you do,
and I can't carry on without you.
Without you I wouldn't talk.
Without you I couldn't walk.
Without you I can't do anything,
But you can do everything.
Without you I would feel blue.
Without you there's nothing I can do.
Without you I'd be dead forever.
Without you I wouldn't have hope. Ever.

Without you I would fall.
You save me, that's what you do,

Without you I wouldn't talk.

Awwwwww, But Flameblossom, I'm sure everyone is just dying to hear your poem. But, I guess I'll post another I made today.
Happiness in Despair
A boy looked around,
as his tears splashed down,
And wondered what happened to make him sad.
He remembered times when his family frowned,
Cutting him down and pushing him to the ground
and doing things that make him mad.
But as he looked around,
He did not frown,
In fact he had to smile.
You would wonder why
As by and by,
He felt he could last many a mile.
I'll tell you why,
that by and by, this guy did not bawl.
He was glad he at least had a family,
and a caring God holding his hand, his formality,
and helping him up, before he could fall.
Now you know,
before you go,
why he didn't go "boo hoo,"
His God took care of him
when things were grim,
and he'll do the same for you.
