How did the Clans form?

The first book of the new series, Dawn of the Clans, is out. It is called, "The Sun Trail". This series will explain the origins of the clans, but I know that many of you have not read it yet, so before you do, how do you think the clans form?

Well.... errhhh.. I think I heard that a bunch of cats were in battle and four cats were left. Wind, Thunder, River, and Shadow. A dead cat from the battle said something like You must create clans or something. Then they started arguing.. then they created the four clans. I think it was like that O.o

In Secrets of the Clans, it said the four leaders Thunder, River, Wind and Shadow came together and that sparked it.

If I could make up my own beginning, I'd say a Twoleg town was abandoned and their pets were left behind. The exotic pets from across the globe died off, while snakes, dogs, mice and cats scattered. Since cats were most of the population, they organized themselves into groups. Dogs could not be kept in large numbers, so the small population spread out but some still roam the area. All other animals were native to the place already.

Idk some weird history chiz I made up.

From what I read in Secrets of the Clans, there were only rogues and loners in the beginning. There were small groups, but no Clans. And one time they decided to meet under the full moon and try to talk things out. Only they started arguing and fighting and then a lot of cats died. Those spirits returned and forced all the cats to come together in different groups. And Shadow, River, Wind, and Thunder made the Clans. Woohoo.

For ThunderClan's history I actually made up some random thing for WCF's 'how did the Clans form.'

I read that in one of the books, I forget which one it was though, maybe Secrets of the Clans? I meant in my original post like why were they fighting? Where did they come from? And other questions like that. In the spoiler below, I'm gonna give you the names of a few characters to see if that gives you any ideas.

At the end of The Sun Trail, it talks about Thunder being born..
And Wind was already alive, I think..
And Thunder, Wind, River, and Shadow formed the Clans..

*Shrugs*

There was a major battle at Fourtrees and few cats were left. Five cats, Wind, Thunder, Shadow, RIver and Sky stepped up because they thought they would make good leaders and created the fIve Clans

It tells you in Secrets of the clans.....

Well, their was 5 cats in the beginning, forming Thunderclan, Shadowclan, Windclan, Skyclan and RIverclan. The leaders all found cats to join them and so the clans were made. Skycla was then drove out of the forest, from twolegs. he end. C:

They were driven out because of Twolegs. StarClan sent a sign at a Gathering. They showed it by making a Tree fall down.

Hey everyone, I just want to let you know, I made to topic to see what you guys thought was going to happen in the Sun Trail. I've already read it, but I wanted to see what predictions you guys could make about it. I was hoping this discussion could be more about what happened before the fighting at Fourtrees, and not just a bunch of retellings of what it said in Secrets of the Clans.
