Fan Fic: Why am i here?

Chapter 1: Beginnings
Rain poured down over the city. Shadows flickered over the street from a passing train minated by lamposts along the edges. A small alley cat darted across into an allyway. He shook the rain off of his fur and took shelter under a doorway. Shivering, he pulled his tail close to him and curled up for warmth. Sile tly, he watched the tall ones run along past, holding umbrellas over thier heads. A family was having thier evening meal in a lighted window next to him. Time passed. Eventually the rain stopped, and the snivelijng cat crept out of the dark onto the street.

Tail and head drooping toward the ground he walked along the path ears flattened over his head. Suddenly, he heard a cry. A cat like cry. At first he ignored it but when it cried out again he had to look. Rounding a corner, he discovered a limp grey cat on the overpass his leg shattered into the road. The ally cat ran across to this grey cat and whispered, "Can you walk? What happened?" Before the grey cat could reply a large truck passed and the allycat jumped away in fear. Unknowingly he had been on the edge of the railing so he plummeted to the ground before-

Sorry for the small chapters i will hope to expand upon them as time goes on. I will develop and give a name to this troubled cat so dont worry. Everything will clear up as the story progresses. Open to critism so say what you think and suggest improvements! Hope you liked it or at least were interested in it. Apogalise for any spelling errors! <- Irony

It should have more waffles

I know its going to be a short 1st chapter and the others will be longer.
Maybe i can sneak the waffles in somehow...

Chapter 2: What on earth happened?
The last thing Flash could remember was plummeting off the edge of the overpass. Briefley he saw his mother cradling him as a kit before switching to a mysterious image of a greycat,then Suddenly, he saw a view of the forest out of a den stocked with herbs. He saw a white cat arranging them...

His eyes jolted awake. The rain was still pattering down... If it was the same rain. He rolled over and opened his eyes to show Flash was in the middle of the town square. He thought he could see the grey cat in the distance for a second but it must have been his imagination. After a few seconds he reliazed the town square was empty. No crows out sitting on the rooftops. No people huddled in raincoats. No cats darting through the shadows. No dogs barking. No lights in the windows. Nothing. Where was everyone? He ran across to one of the shop windows that wasnt covered by a grate. He tried to see someone... But there was no one in there. The shop was shrouded in darkness. Flash grunted and jumed off the window sill. The people who looked after him were miles away from here and he had no home to go to here...

Making up his mind he decided to try to find the overpass that had caused him to black out. Padding across to a nearby street, he noticed something. There wasnt any puddles on the ground. It was empty. Where was the rain going? Passing into the street there was the same, empty feel... as if he was truly alone... The rain poured down harder and harder as Flash went further until... Lightning struck it was an inch from Flashs ear and was enough to send him shooting down the nearby subway system.

"Whats happening? Where is everybody?" he moaned to himself at the ticket barrier. Slumping against the nearby wall it meant a large sound that vibrated. Sighing to himself he was about to fall asleep before...
Knock.
The same sound had occured from behind the wall. Flash knocked against the wall again.
Knock.
Knock.
Getting curious, he did it three times. Knock. Knock. Knock.
Knock. Knock. Knock.
"Hello?" He shouted through the wall.
"Hello?"
Gasping, Flash stood back. It was the voice of that grey cat...
It spoke again.
"Whos there? Can you help me?"
Flash answered. "I could ask you the s-same question, mate."
"OH! Theres someone there! Good! Everyone else is gone. I dont know how i got here!"
"Me too! Is there some way i can get to you?" Flash asked his hope rising.
"Uh... Theres a vent above me if you can reach it!"
Flash looked and saw a vent on the floor.
"Hang on, ill try to get to you through this way!"
Flash stepped inside and climbed up a ledge to get to a higher level in the vents.
"Thats it! I can hear you! Come closer."
Flash traversed through the vents and saw a metal grating on the wall. He stopped before passing it and peeked in. What he saw horrified him. There was a large blood splatter on the floor and in the middle the grey cat lying on his side blood seeping out. He was dead.
"I can hear you! Come...Closer..." The grey cats voice spoke.
Terrified, Flash burst out of the vents and sped out of the subway system as fast as he could into the dark street.
"Wait! Where are you going?"

Next time: Chapter 3: Scared

It's good so far. The idea behind it seems really unique, although I'm a bit confused about how he ended up in the subway systems?

Ah. You know in London or New York they have the entrances to the subway on the street? Thats what i meant. He only ran inside to the ticket barrier down the stairs and not the actual station. I believe systems was the wrong word to use. Thanks for pointing this out.

I really like the end of the first chapter. ^^ It's interesting.

It's no problem. I think that would make that part of it all a bit clearer to. I hope this did gel you though. It might also be a good idea to put "Fanfic: " at the from of the topic titles name o everyone knows what this is about.
