The Burnt Sycamore (Shadowclan Training)

Snowlily padded through the densely packed pine trees in absolute silence as she easily avoided fallen branches and pools of mud and water. She looked back to make sure that Bloodpaw had actually been able to keep up. The clearing was empty for the time being, she noted, peering through the leaves and pine needles in the underbrush. She padded out into the clearing and sat beneath the old sycamore tree, tucking her paws under her tail. Her pelt still surprisingly clean and glossy.

Once she had finished chewing the poultice she licked the juiced across the pad of her paw and carefully rubbed in over and into the would. once she had finished the spit out the remaining chunks of leaves and stems from the comfrey and licked her pad trying to get the taste out of her mouth. "Now it might sting for a minute but the poultice will stop the pain."

The undersized apprentice laid there quietly, only giving a nod to show she was listening. She was reflecting on what happened, trying to distance herself from the pain. Eh.... I forgot. Emotions don't bring anything good, they let people take advantage of you and bad things like this happen. I forgot......... Gazing around her with suddenly cold eyes, she mewed quietly, "So, it'll be fine after this, yes, Snowlily?"

Snowlily studied her with a cool gaze. "Well it might be better to take it easy for a while and let this heal. But we will see once the pain stops and we both have a short rest." She kept her voice level and calm, not wanting to discourage the young she-cat after being injured from a fall like that.

Bloodpaw sighed silently. Waiting for the pain to recede, she impatiently stood up and shook out her fur, stifling her gasp. She sat down again, displeased with the state of her fur. Ignoring the twinges of pain from her injury, she twisted around agin and began to clean the blood and dirt from the fur around the wound.

"It should be gone any minute now, though you shouldn't do anything too strenuous." Snowlily stood there silently, staring off into the distance, her gaze clouded in thought. She shook her head firmly, refocusing on the situation at hand. "Perhaps it is time to head back to camp for the day then."

Bloodpaw nodded, her gaze icy. Her mew and demeanor had almost returned to normal, although her voice was still a bit higher than normal. "Alright, Snowlily. Whatever you think would be best." She attempted again to stand up, and was pleased when it hurt less this time. Turning to her mentor, she sunk deep into thought. Bad Bloodpaw, you know you need to stay distant! Better if you don't get involved in things other than yourself, you know.
