I don't think name changes should be allowed, because if someone chooses a name that they don't know is already a member, and the admin that changes the name doesn't know that user is there, then that can be a big problem.

Obviously you don’t understand Lunarlight. If another person has the name you want it to be changed to, the administration panel won’t even allow the admins to change it to the same name because ‘the name has already been taken.' Prohibiting name changes is kind of unreasonable in my view.

But wait. I don't fully understand what you're saying in fact. Are you trying to say that if Dragonclaw, for example, changed a member's name without asking them, and they can't log on? Or if two people have the same name and Dragonclaw accidentally changes the wrong person's name and they can't log on anymore? (<-- If it's that, then the explanation is in the first paragraph.)

Yeah, Lunarlight. How would it be bad? I think name changes are fine. Many people have done it, and they all are known. It doesn't take long to know what a person's new name is.
