Survival

For a long time, Kittypets have lived peacefully with their Twoleg owners. But that peace didn't last long, for a gang of rogues accused them of stealing from their territory. It appeared that some Kittypets had found a box of chicken drunsticks and ate them. Now, as the gang attack the houses one by one, Kittypets are disappearing by the days. Fortunately, they have found the gang's weakness. Now it is either team up, or suffer the unspeakable fate of facing the gang alone. Play as a gang member or a kittypet.

Persephone padded along the streets, her beautiful charm shining in the sunlight. She walked towards a fence with an elegant silver cat perched on top of it. The cat wore a pretty pearl collar, and was the most charming she-cat in Sunnyville. "Hey Maria!" Purred Persephone. "Hiya!" Maria purred back, leaping off her fence. "What are you up to?" Persephone looked at Maria happily. "I'm going to visit Park Road. Mind coming?" she mewed. Maria nodded, then followed Persephone.

Away from Sunnyville, in the stinky dumps, a powerful cat was sitting on a pile of twoleg rubbish. A small red tabby padded to the cat's side. "This is it, Brute. The kittypets have eaten the last of our food supply." she meowed sadly. Brute growled. "Who are they to steal our food, Scarlet, when they've got twolegs stuffing them with rabbit dung? We will get our revenge!" Scarlet's heart filled with hunger, as Brute continued. "We will kill every last one of those mangy twoleg pets, and leave them at the door of their twoleg nests. And when the twolegs open the door, they'll see the bodies! They'll consider it as a warning!"

Venom padded in. "I agree with you Brute. Those mangy cats won't see what's hit them!" She cackled evilly.

Somewhere in Sunnyville, Flash was sitting on the wall in her housefolk's "backyard", as they call it. The sun felt good on her aching back from chasing mice all day. She saw Persephone and Maria walking to Park Road. "Wait up!" She called. "I want to come with you!"

Persephone purred. "Of course you could come with us! It's not like we won't." Maria nodded her agreement, and kept on walking. Maria was silent, but her thoughts were wild. Why don't I feel safe? Is something after us? She groaned. Sometimes I think I worry too much.

Brute looked at Venom. "We shall start our first attack today, on...What do kittypets call it? Oh, yes, Dump Avenue. It's the closest." Scarlet gave a gleeful, yet creepy, purr. "Perhaps that house can suffer a little pain?" She pointed at a small house with her tail. There was a fat cat that greedily munched on a plump bird he caught.

Venom hissed exitedly. "Yes! Let's give that fat kittypet a beating!"

"A perfect day for hunting!" Jasper pushed his nose in between the shutters and peered into the sunlight and greenery outside. A cheerful chirrup drew his attention to the fat pigeon perched on the maple tree outside. His first victim. He could already taste the fresh meat on his tongue. No offense to his housefolk, but fresh kill was way better than those brown pellets he got daily. But he more fortunate those most, Jasper reminded himself. His Twolegs had never taken him to the Cutter. The gray furred tom pushed out of the cat door, pausing to take a deep breath of fresh air before before heading toward the pigeon.

"That's a fine and dandy plan, Brute. But as my sister liked to say, 'easy to say, hard to do.'" Raven's tail tapped a steady beat on the pavement. "Killing the kittypets off one by one seems like the best course of action, no? But as stupid as they may be, they might join together to fight back once some of their friends are killed. 'The most dangerous animal is any creature that is cornered,'" she quoted. "And won't the Twolegs become angry if we kill their precious pets? You know we all are brilliant fighters, and I would never back down from a battle," the black she-cat shot Brute a glare as if challenging him to disagree, "but even we can't take down Twolegs and their monsters."

Brute scowled. "Like the twolegs will know we did it. Though you do have a point..." Scarlet looked at Brute. "Maybe we could stay silent and kill anyone who sees? We could lure them into a place they won't be heard...and RIP OUT THEIR THROATS!" She growled. Brute was surprised of the ferocity of her voice, and Scarlet herself.

"Uh," Raven shot Scarlet a strange look before continuing, "Anger issues aside, it is a better plan. I would go against leaving the kittypets' dead bodies so blatantly around, but otherwise it'd be perfect. No point on angering the Twolegs," she reasoned, "after all, we've got not quarrel with them. It's those stupid kittypets." Raven dipped her head at Brute and stood. "I'm going hunting now, if you don't mind. I'm hungry."

Brute nodded. "You are dismissed." Then, he turned to everyone else. "It is settled. We will leave the dead body part aside. Be sure to tell anyone else who missed it." Brute mewed, and leaped down the trash heap. Scarlet looked at Brute. "I'll scavenge for any more food left." She murmured, and melted into the shadows.

Venom nodded. She ran into the shadows and started digging in the trashcans.

Lightning sprinted into view, a squirrel in her jaws and eyes bright. Seeing Brute, she climbed toward him and set the catch down to speak. "Thought we could share a meal before attacking. Any plans so far?" Her soft mew rang. The beautiful brown tabby gave her wind-ruffled chest fur a quick lick and scanned her golden eyes over Brute's expression carefully.

Zeus growled and spat at his Twoleg until he let him outside and angrily swiped at the his leg before trotting outside. "Dumb thing doesn't know a thing!" The bulky tabby snarled grumpily, stormy eyes dark with impatience. Lately, he'd been stuck inside and resorted to catching that stupid parakeet his owner kept. The thing wouldn't shut up, so he'd figured Ralph would be happy to have been rid of it. But, the guy had the nerve to strike Zeus for doing him a favor! "What a fool." The tom spat.

Jasper had caught the dumb bird with no problem. His powerful legs had sent him flying toward it like a homing missile. The pigeon had seen him coming too late, and the last thing it ever saw was the gray blur. He proudly carried his catch back to Zeus's house. The fresh-kill was a little too big for him to finish off by himself. "Zeus!" Jasper yowled, his cry muffled by the bundle of feathers in his jaws. Scrabbling up the fence, he paused at the top to search for the grumpy ol' tom.

Raven slipped off to skirt around the neighborhood park. It was in the center of the place, usually bustling with Twolegs. But it was still early morning, so it was safe for a stray cat to hunt there now. Her long legs ate the distance, bringing her to a dizzying speed as she raced through the springy grass. By the time the slim black she-cat stopped, she was panting at the roots of the giant oak tree. Providing ample shelter for the common squirrel and bird, it was the ideal place to hunt when the Twolegs weren't around scaring them off with their noise.

Venom scavenged for food. She dug a little deeper into the trashcan. Aha! She found a huge piece of ham and brought it out. "Guys! I found food!"

Flash followed Maria and Persephone. The air was clean and crisp with a slight smell of burning burgers from the barbeque.

Brute looked at Lightning. "We will look for food first. Then, directly after sunhigh, we will attack. But it'll be hard to stay unseen in the light, but what else can we do, break into the twoleg nests?" He growled and ripped off the squirrel's hind legs. "Stupid kittypets. Steals food and enjoys the sunlight in the day, and sleeps in their warm twoleg nests in the night. Why steal OUR food when they're fed every day?"

Scarlet heard Venom's yowl, and ran towards her, with a whole chicken in her jaws. "I found food too." Her mew was muffled by the chicken. Then, she dropped it. "I wonder why that twoleg barbeque shop door was left open. Nice ham, by the way!"

Persephone padded forward until she found a beautiful park. it had a comforting feeling, and it was finished with a charming statue in the middle. Butterflies were dancing around, and a rose bush swayed at the edge, along with a breathtaking birch. We've reached Park Road. She thought gladly. Beside her, Persephone heard Maria's mew. "Look! Zeus and Jasper are here!" She was pointing at a house. Persephone purred: "Let's visit them!" And dashed towards the house.

Venom looked at Scarlet. "Thanks," she mewed. "Nice chicken! This food can feed all of us!"

Flash bounded after Maria and Persephone. She looked up. Jasper and Zeus!

"Hey Maria," Jasper purred. His amber gaze traveled to Persephone and Flash, and mumbled their names in greeting as well, around the pigeon he held in his jaws. "C'mon, I'm searching for Zeus!" The gray top leaped off the top of the fence and started wandering toward the yard door.

Lightning smiled and purred. "It'll be okay, Brute. They'll get what's coming to them soon enough. You look after us well. We all have faith in your strength and know we'll be able to wipe those scraps away with ease." Giving the tom's ear an affectionate lick, she followed it by a bold grin. Taking a small bite of the food, her gaze wondered over the others, warm and full of energy.

Zeus hissed impatiently. "Stop you chatter. I'm right here, you baboons. What're you here for?" His gray eyes were cold as ice, but held a hidden warmth toward his friends. Curiously glittered in those stormy depths as he sat on his haunches and licked a paw.

Jasper snorted and dropped the pigeon. "You're a monkey yourself," he retorted, wrinkling his nose. He was only kidding of course. The fresh-kill was tossed to Zeus's paws, thudding to the grass with a surprisingly loud thump. "Thought you'd be hungry," Jasper meowed, stifling a yawn. "I'm not that hungry, after last night's squirrel."

Jade pounced up on her fence and overlooked the valley. She sighed. She lived on a farm with horses and plants and such, and she spent most of her time outside, but she wondered what it was like to live out there. She never dared pounce off her fence. She heard a clan lived there and weren't too friendly to strangers. She turned around and pounced on a nice little mouse. She triumphantly scooped in it her jaws and settled down, gnawing the warm body.

Chrome slipped into the hideout of the rogue place with a pigeon in his mouth. "Hey," he echoed.
