Silversnow's Apprentice Challenge~

Mouth opening wide, and taking in the morning air, I look at my surroundings. They are unfamiliar. My new den is huge, with beds evenly spread, and each one inhabited with a different shade of pelt. From ginger to a snowy white, I only recognized the five that I had seen all my life. Blossompaw, my lovely sister had a flowing tortoiseshell coat that I was always jealous of. She was going to get all the toms. Then there was Darkpaw. He had our father, Nightingflame’s glorious black coat. He blended into his bed in the morning dusk. Eaglepaw himself looked more like Blossompaw, just had more of the muscular look. Then came along Pyritepaw. She was a mix of our father and mother, black with white splotches. Lastly came Wolfpaw, who slept soundly in the corner of the den. He was going to be the tom that every she-cat wanted, with a glorious tabby coat. Two other coats lay in a bed together. The brother and sister, Rainpaw, and Icepaw were inseparable. They had been born together, and ever since, they’d been doing everything side by side. Oddly though, Icepaw was the boss of their little clan. Hazelpaw didn’t care though.
There was only one cat I had ever had a crush on. I didn’t realize it was a crush until he gotten a thorn in his paw, and I had helped him get it out, all the while thinking he would die. Blizzardpaw lay soundly close to my bed. I had picked the bed closest to him on purpose. Hesitantly, I lean a paw over to him, and prod his side. Groaning, Blizzardpaw rolls over, opening his golden eyes to stare up at me. “Hazelpaw, is that you?”
I nod and smile, trying not to show my awkwardness, “Let’s head out. I can’t sleep.”
He frowns, “You sure? I don’t know if our mentors would be to-“
“It’s our first day Blizzardpaw! They can last!” I mew softly.
“Okay, let’s go. Where are we going anyway?” He asks, his voice quiet in the dark.
