Uh, I don't think there was ever a book like that xD Anyway, I don't think so. You can try to find a future mate, but I think an apprentice has too much training to do to worry about that.

Apprentices usually become warriors before they get a mate. Like Dustpelt and Ferncloud. It's kind of weird to have a mate as an apprentice.

You can choose to become a warrior whenever you want. Some people have planned pairings, so I guess you could start looking for someone o.o
