Birdflight's Short Stories!
Hey guys! So this is kind of now my official place where I will start putting the History for future characters and basically short stories that I want to write! Also, I really wanted some more space on my character creation post thingy (Which is currently under construction!) so I could add a couple more things to that and basically make it more organized! So onto the stories!

- Spoiler:
- "ThunderClan is attacking!" A yowl split through the air as the sounds of battle began. Leafwhisper's eyes shot open and she leaped to her paws. Being the only queen in the nursery at the moment she was petrified and had no idea what to do. All of a sudden a handsome light brown tabby tom with bright amber eyes appeared in the entrance to the nursery. "Sparrowtalon!" Leafwhisper cried in glee racing toward her mate and nuzzling him. Sparrowtalon purred, his intense amber gaze locked onto her gentle leaf green gaze. "Leafwhisper you must run." He mewed sadness laced in his voice as a lump formed in his throat. "Sparrowtalon the kits! Their due any second now!" She argued narrowing her eyes. Sparrowtalon's tail lashed irritably. "I'd feel better knowing that your safe in the badger den." He mewed. The badger den was frequently used for a spare den if the clan needed it. There is always spare moss inside and you don't have to worry about badgers for you cant scent them because they left so long ago. "I'd rather stay with the medicine cat then alone in the badger den." She whimpered. Sparrowtalon narrowed his eyes. "You'd rather stay in the battle area then safely tucked away in the badger den?" He asked. Leafwhisper sighed. "Your right. Be safe my love." She mewed softly as Sparrowtalon draped his tail around her. Sparrowtalon licked her head. "You too. Stay safe and promise me you'll stay in the badger den until I come find you. I'll come find you once this battle is over ok?" Leafwhisper nodded breathing in his scent. "Goodbye." She mewed and raced out of the den.
She skirted around battling cats thankful for the speed of being a pure WindClan cat. Racing out of camp she looked over her shoulder and sighed in relief. She wasn't being followed. After a while rain started pouring down almost instantly drenching her. Each rain drop felt like tiny ice cold knives cutting into her once dry fur. Leafwhisper finally spotted the badger den and hurried toward it. As she was running to safety she heard a loud yowl. She whipped around in surprise to see two toms, One black tom with glittering amber eyes and one dark brown tabby tom with glistening green eyes. They smelled like the forest and she knew they were ThunderClan cats. She screeched in fear and raced quickly toward the badger den. She stumbled and fell feeling a sharp pain in her stomach. Leafwhisper struggled to her paws and ducked into the badger den. Her kits came almost as soon as she lay down. With a squeal of pain the first kit came a large tom. She licked him quickly and nuzzled him close to her belly. Next was yet another tom, smaller then his older brother but still looked like he would be strong. Leafwhisper nuzzled him and also placed him close to her belly. She could feel there was one more kit and it felt like ages until her last kit finally came. It was a beautiful she cat that mostly resembled her mother. Leafwhisper licked her quickly and ushered the last kit to her belly. She sighed and sat back, completely forgetting about the enemy cats that had been chasing her. Leafwhisper smiled and gently touched the oldest and strongest cat in the litter, the first tom with her tail tip. "Your name will be Bramblekit after your great great grandfather Bramblestar. Your grandmother Cherryblossom was Squirrelflight and Bramblestar's daughter. Cherryblossom had me and I had you. Bramblekit you will be as strong as him and maybe even stronger." She finished with a small lick and moved onto the next kit the other tom in the litter.
"Your name will be Hawk-kit. Your named after your grandpa Hawkstorm. He was a legend in WindClan until he died of a terrible sickness and he was my father. I know you will live up to his accomplishments." Leafwhisper gave the second tom a lick and moved on to her last kit. "My last kit, my only beautiful she cat. My daughter. You will be named after a bird. You will soar above everyone. You will spread your wings and fly and you will as fierce as an eagle and as elegant as a dove. I believe in you my daughter." And with that she licked her only daughter's head and sighed happily. Sparrowtalon was right. This is much better then being on edge in the middle of a battle in camp, I love him so much and I hope he- Her thoughts were cut off as she gasped in surprise. The two ThunderClan cats had finally found her. Leafwhisper narrowed her eyes. "What do you want?" She hissed venom in her usually gentle voice. The black tom smirked. Leafwhisper growled frustrated. "Listen you can kill me! But whatever you do, do NOT hurt my kits. I swear if you touch them I will personally rip you to shreds!" She yowled her fur rising and claws unsheathed. A menacing smile curled onto the dark brown tabby's muzzle.
"We wont hurt your kits but I'm up for some blood to scare those WindClan kits right Darkstorm?" The black tom with amber eyes nodded a smug look on his face. "Right! We saw you run out of camp so we decided to follow you. Having kits eh? Cute but WindClan needs to pay for what one of your warriors did to my mate. By the way before you die this is my friend Birchstrike, just thought you'd want to know the names of your killers." Darkstorm smiled. "Say goodbye to your kits now." Birchstrike snarled. Leafwhisper turned to her kits. "Goodbye my loves. I'll see you three in StarClan eventually." She whispered quickly turning back to the two toms. Darkstorm raised his paw. "Wait!" She yowled. "What?" Birchstrike hissed impatiently. Leafwhisper took a deep breath. "Promise me don't hurt my kits please!" Leafwhisper begged her eyes wide and pleading. Darkstorm eyes softened as he looked at the three terrified kits. "WindClan didn't hurt my mate's kits. Your clan just hurt my mate so I won't hurt your kits either." His eyes were gentle as he stared at the kits and his voice was genuine. Leafwhisper closed her eyes. Darkstorm raised his unsheathed claw and it sliced straight through her neck. She screeched in pain and collapsed blood spilling out of her mouth as blood freely poured out of her neck. Faintly she heard the two toms discussing. "Should we finish her off? You know a quick death? I-I feel kind of bad..." Darkstorm muttered his amber eyes looking at Leafwhisper's mangled body and her frightened kits. "No way! Let her suffer! Those WindClan fox hearts made your mate suffer so lets make this ugly she cat suffer!" Birchstrike snarled fiercely.
"Ya know what, lets destroy her!" Birchstrike marched over to her and started ripping into her body making her bleed even more. It felt like everything was on fire. Everything was getting darker but it seemed like StarClan wasn't ready to accept her just yet. "Dont touch the kits Birchstrike or else I'll rip you to shreds." Birchstrike nodded. "Lets go." One of the toms mewed. Silence. The day dragged on. Her kits were squealing with a mixture of fear, pain, sadness and hunger. They wouldn't survive long but she couldn't even move without feeling so much pain she blacked out. She had tried she honestly had but she blacked out about 3 times and she was certain she was pretty much dead. The pain continued and Leafwhisper stayed up all night suffering with so much pain it was incredibly cruel. She heard pawsteps and saw 4 cats including her mate Sparrowtalon. Time began to slow. Sparrowtalon rushed toward her and nuzzled her and licked her. "Dont leave me!" He sobbed, but they both knew it was too late. Leafwhisper looked up to see her mother Cherryblossom along with a muscular dark brown tabby tom with amber eyes, Bramblestar. Leafwhisper got to her paws. She looked back at her mangled body, Sparrowtalon huddled over her in grief and her terrified kits being licked by the other cats of the patrol. "Wait." She whispered to the two StarClan cats. Leafwhisper came to her mates ear and whispered this, "Their names are Bramblekit, Hawk-kit, and Birdkit. Birdkit is my only daughter, Bramblekit is the oldest and Hawk-kit is the middle tom. Please take care of them and tell them I love them. Please have Runningstream, my best friend be their foster mother. Don't give up Sparrowtalon. Be strong. I'll love you forever and wait for you forever but dont come to me too soon. Goodbye my love..." And with that she turned back to Cherryblossom and Bramblestar. Their eyes were soft and gentle. "Are you ready?" Bramblestar rumbled his voice deep but kind and filled with warmth. Leafwhisper nodded and followed her mother and the legendary tom Bramblestar up to StarClan...
- Spoiler:
- Birdkit watched as her mother was slashed straight in the throat. Her blood spattered the sides of the dark grimy den they were in. Birdkit's eyes widened as a large dark brown tabby tom slashed through her mother's sleek beautiful pelt. She watched the toms exchanging glances and murmuring. She watched as the light left Leafwhisper's leaf green eyes.
Birdkit woke with a start and she was breathing rapidly. Sighing in relief she realized she was in the nursery safe in WindClan. Her foster mother, Runningstream licked her head. "You ok? Your trembling and your heart is racing." She mewed her voice laced with concern. "Fine." Birdkit whispered gazing in no where in particular, half listening to Runningstream. Why do I have these dreams? It drives me insane to sit there trembling like a kit while my mother dies right in front of me! She hissed frustrated. Runningstream's eyes widened, concern lighting up her piercing ice blue eyes. "Did I hurt you?" The fluffy silver queen asked. Birdkit couldn't think of another excuse so she shrugged. "Yeah but its alright." She mewed reassuring her mother.
As Runningstream continued to groom her pelt to perfection she sighed. Why do I have to be the only one to remember mother's death. Yeah Bramblekit and Hawk-kit know that she's dead but how? They don't know how! Runningstream never told them! But I know, and I'll get my revenge on those ThunderClan cats one day. I promise you mother I will kill the dark tom that killed you. I promise! And that fierce merciless dark brown tabby tom too! Bramblekit rolled onto his back with one of his dark forest green eyes opened to a slit. "Hey Birdkit wanna play moss ball once Hawk-kit wakes up?" He asked rolling onto his side and yawning, his white fangs glistening. "Sure!" Birdkit mewed, trying to hide her concern about her dream. After all no kit should miss a good game of moss ball.
"Runningstream where's Icekit?" She asked eagerly. Icekit was basically her sister since her real mother is Runningstream although, Runningstream treats all the kits equally. Her foster mother held up her tail as a signal to wait and got to her paws to look for Icekit. After a few moments Icekit raced forward and tackled her. "So what are we doing today? Trying to hunt a butterfly, playing moss ball or play fighting?" Icekit asked her blue eyes gleaming with excitement. "Moss ball!" Birdkit exclaimed pushing Icekit off of her. Birdkit nudged Hawk-kit. "Wake up lazy! Were gonna play moss ball!" She mewed. Hawk-kit's ears perked at hearing Moss ball and he hauled himself to his paws with yawn. "I'm ready when you are." He mewed yawning once more. Icekit giggled and Birdkit rolled her eyes. "I'll be back in a second. I'm gonna go ask Heathersoul and Fernpaw for some extra moss." Birdkit darted out of the nursery.
She leaped between the legs of the tall warriors and into the medicine cat den. "Heathersoul! Fernpaw! Can I have some extra moss!" She yowled rather rudely. Birdkit heard a hiss and Fernpaw padded out of the herb storage with a small moss ball. "Here, and be quiet! We have cats sleeping and recovering here!" The dark brown tabby apprentice snapped her green eyes blazing with anger. "Oh Fernpaw what will I do with you. She's only a kit." A voice mewed and from the depths of the den and Heathersoul emerged. Fernpaw had dark brown tabby fur with green eyes but Heathersoul had beautiful light brown tabby fur with bright amber eyes. Fernpaw tossed Birdkit the moss and she easily caught it. "Thank you!" She squeaked happily and padded out of the den. Birdkit raced across the clearing her golden eyes shining happily. "Lets play Moss ball!" She yowled throwing the moss ball into the air and slamming it with her paw straight at Bramblekit.
- Spoiler:
- Birdpaw yawned and slowly padded behind her mentor Oakshadow. He is a huge dark brown tom with giant jet black paws and blazing amber eyes. "Oakshadow I'm tried." She moaned dragging her paws. Oakshadow looked back at her and narrowed his eyes. "Do you even want to be better then the other apprentices? If you complain like that the whole clan will know that the great Birdpaw is weak and spineless. Now straighten your posture and hurry up." Oakshadow growled but his eyes twinkled. Even though his voice was filled with venom she knew he only wanted her to get better. Her and Oakshadow knew that she was extremely determined and very competitive especially with the other apprentices. Filled with new determination she raced forward. "I'll race you back to camp!" She yowled behind her shoulder. Oakshadow laughed and started speeding up. "I'm gonna win!" He yowled.
They raced through the moors, the springy grass helped propel her forward. They were neck and neck but Birdpaw made it first much to Oakshadow's dislike. "Alright you win, get something to eat and rest. Tomorrow were going to do hunting, battle and stealth training." He mewed before padded away into the warriors den. Birdpaw sighed knowing tomorrow would be a hard day. She picked a smaller but plump rabbit from the fresh kill pile and found Icepaw. The two she cats had been best friends since they had been kits. "Hey!" Birdpaw mewed smiling and setting her rabbit in front of Icepaw and laying down beside her. Icepaw yawned. "Hey thanks for the rabbit!" She mewed sleepily. They ate in silence although it wasn't an awkward silence more like, "I'm exhausted lets just eat" silence. A silver tabby she cat with bright leaf green eyes padded forward her chin raised. "Ugh Brightpaw the menace coming through." Icepaw whispered and Birdpaw giggled. "Hey what are you two giggling about!? Ugh who cares with you two weirdos!" Brightpaw snapped. "Good to see you too Brightpaw." Birdpaw grumbled barely paying attention to the silver tabby.
"Hey no need to be rude ya know!" Brightpaw snarled. "Anyway, Lotus-star is about to make an announcement so get up and actually listen for once." Brightpaw whipped around and padded up to her mentor with a big smile plastered on her smug face. Birdpaw snarled. "One day that she cat is going to regret being so rude to us." She mewed. Icepaw nodded. "I'll help." Icepaw added nodding. They quickly finished their rabbit and padded up to her brother Bramblepaw. "Whats the meeting about?" She asked in a whisper. Bramblepaw's dark green eyes flicked to a group of senior warriors whispering. "We saw ThunderClan coming straight toward us. Were preparing now, see?" He flicked his striped tail to a couple warriors who were herding the elders, queens and kits into the nursery. After that they got brambles and secured the entrance so they would be safe. Birdpaw also saw some warriors boarding up the medicine den as well with a nervous looking Heathersoul and a frustrated Fernpaw. There was a yowl and immediately the clan fell silent.
"Today we spotted a rather large ThunderClan patrol heading straight for camp. We have already secured the nursery with the elders inside as well, along with the medicine den. I want all the warriors at the front entrance with the apprentices behind them. Honeytongue and I shall be in the front." Lotus-star finished hurriedly and flicked her tail for Honeytongue to follow. Birdpaw always admired Lotus-star's silver tabby pelt and Honeytongue's rank in the clan. One day I'll be like Honeytongue and Lotus-star! I'll be strong like them, and maybe in this battle I'll show them what I'm capable of thanks to Oakshadow. Where is he anyway? She spotted the large tom next to Runningstream her foster mother. Runningstream wasn't weak at all and was a fierce fighter, she'd be alright in this battle. Birdpaw stood beside Bramblepaw and Hawkpaw with Icepaw nearby. "We'll protect you." Bramblepaw mewed smiling. Beside her Hawkpaw nodded his amber eyes shining. "I appreciate it, but I don't need protecting." She whispered and winked with a small giggle. Bramblepaw rolled his eyes and Hawkpaw nudged her playfully. In a split second there was a yowl that ricocheted across camp. In an instant battle surged around them but Birdpaw was looking for one certain tom. Darkstorm
His name seemed to whisper in her mind. Birdpaw skirted around the battle and was thankful for her speed and agility. Birdpaw spotted the black tom fighting Runningstream. Birdpaw raced forward the blood pounding in her ears. She leaped into the air with incredible force hitting Darkstorm straight in the chest. Without hesitation she pounced on him pinning him down. "Birdpaw you cant fight him! Its too dangerous!" Runningstream mewed but her voice seemed far off. Birdpaw clawed at Darkstorm's open stomach. "Why did you kill my mother!" She snarled her voice laced with venom. A flash of recognition lit his amber eyes and he smirked. "So you must be Birdpaw am I correct?" Birdpaw snarled and slashed at his stomach. "Just tell me why!" She growled frustrated. Darkstorm narrowed his eyes. "Because... your dumb clan killed Silverlily, my mate. I needed revenge and that why I killed your pathetic mother." Birdpaw snarled and slashed at his muzzle. "You foxheart! You murderer!" Birdpaw screeched slashing at the tom repeatedly blinded by rage and sadness. There was a moment of silence until she was hit in the side with an incredible force.
She landed with a crash with a giant brown tabby tom with green eyes standing before her. "Don't talk to my best friend like that, you stupid, pathetic apprentice. You have no right." The tom snarled his voice deep like thunder rumbling. "Y-your Birchstrike aren't you?" The ThunderClan tom smirked. "You guessed right she cat." He growled. They leaped about at the same time rolling and slashing at each other almost equally. At times Birchstrike would land a good blow on her but other times, Birdpaw would land a few good blows. Then yet another tom joined the fight. Hawkpaw. Hawkpaw raced forward and landed on top of Birchstrike. He slashed at Birchstrike's eyes then jumped off before Birchstrike could hit him. Hawkpaw laughed. "Your as slow as a badger!" Hawkpaw taunted. The smug light replaced it with fear as Birchstrike lifted Hawkpaw into the air by his scruff. Birdpaw was held back by Darkstorm much to her dislike. Birdpaw watched helplessly and time seemed to slow. Her brother was slammed into the ground straight onto his head. There was blood so much blood, and her brother lay there limp. Completely still except for his chest which slowly moved up and down. Birchstrike stepped forward, raised his paw and slit her brother's throat killing him instantly.
Birdpaw felt frozen until she felt this incredible rage. It blinded her senses and she felt herself propel forward completely ignoring Darkstorm. She launched herself at Birchstrike and attacked him mercilessly. She felt the gaze of a cat burn her pelt but she ignored it. She lashed at Birchstrike in the eyes and hit him. He yowled in pain closing one eye. Birdpaw jumped to the side narrowly missing Birchstrike's attack, and then he stopped for a moment growling in frustration. She was confused until she realized that she was on Birchstrike's blind side. Birdpaw jumped onto her front paws and back kicked him straight in the face. He stumbled and in that moment Birdpaw jumped onto his back and bit into his shoulder. Birchstrike stumbled but not just from her but from her father Sparrowtalon who had come to help avenge his fallen son. The father and daughter fought alongside each other battling both Darkstorm and half blind Birchstrike. Birdpaw pinned down Birchstrike almost at the same time as Sparrowtalon pinned down Darkstorm. Birdpaw looked to her dad. "They both killed a member of our family." She whispered hurt gleaming in her golden eyes.
Sparrowtalon nodded and snarled down at a rather scared looking Darkstorm. "We will let Darkstorm go. He was fueled by anger and for sadness because of the death of his mate. I'm sure those scars will be a reminder to him not to do anything like this again." Sparrowtalon mewed his deep voice rumbled like thunder and his golden eyes identical to her's gleamed with wisdom. He got off of Darkstorm and the black tom jumped to his paws and raced out of camp and straight toward the ThunderClan border. Sparrowtalon stalked toward Birchstrike. "And you, you ruined by mate's beautiful pelt and tortured her when Darkstorm simply wanted a quick painless death. You killed my son out of anger, pure anger and nothing else. You disobeyed the warrior code and have an evil heart." Sparrowtalon hissed. "Get off of him Birdpaw. Stand back." He growled gently pushing his daughter away from Birchstrike. Birchstrike didn't move, his one green eye glowed with fear and... something else Birdpaw couldn't quite recognize. Sparrowtalon dived down and bit Birchstrike in the neck. Birchstrike gasped in pain and was limp in an instant. His one amber eye slowly glazed over and his breathing stopped. Then, the dark tom was completely still and deathly cold. It was silent for a moment other then the sounds of battle. Sparrowtalon turned to Birdpaw and flicked his tail for her to follow him. They padded along the moors and she sighed. The cries of battle were fading and the moor looked the same with the moon shining above them.
"You look like your mother you know." Sparrowtalon whispered his golden eyes warm like the sun. "Your so beautiful just like her. You have her fierceness, her bravery, her courage, her pure kindness and warmth. Yet you have my eyes." Sparrowtalon whispered his tail draped onto her back. Birdpaw pressed her nose into his fur relishing this one peaceful moment they will have for she knew it wouldn't last. "H-Hawkpaw's dead... he died in his first battle." She whispered her voice shaking with pain. "He was born in battle and died in battle. He would be proud knowing that I'm sure. He was so fierce and strong." Sparrowtalon replied. Birdpaw purred. Hawkpaw would have liked that knowing he was born in battle and died in battle. He wouldn't have wanted a boring ordinary life. He would want something exciting, and adventure yet this time his life was just too short. It was silent for a moment and Sparrowtalon mewed. "You were born in battle too. I bet that's part of why your so fierce and determined." He mewed smiling. Birdpaw smiled. "Lets go back to camp." She mewed looking up into her father's golden eyes. She shivered in astonishment. Were her eyes so bright and intense like, well the sun? They padded back to camp happily mourning together and comforting each other.

- Brightleaf led the way to one of the farthest border. "Keep up would you! Your slowing me down!" The silver tabby hissed a smug look on her face. Birdflight, Bramblethorn and a tom named Fireblaze quickened their pace. Fireblaze was apparently one of Bramblethorn's good friends. "One day I'm going to wipe that smug look off her face." Fireblaze whispered his amber eyes glittering with amusement. Birdflight giggled and Bramblethorn snickered. Brightleaf whipped around. "What's so funny hmm?" She asked her leaf green eyes blazing with anger. "Perhaps Fireblaze when we get back to camp you can tell Honeystar about your little joke." Fireblaze snorted. "I'm sure he'd laugh and think it's funny." The ginger tabby retorted. Brightleaf hissed and turned around to lead the patrol once more. A couple of days ago Lotus-star was having Honeystar's kits soon so she unable to stay as leader and changed her name to Lotusflower and became a queen to raise her kits knowing Honeystar would be a strong able leader. And of course he had to choose that bratty, ugly, bossy, silver furball Brightleaf to be deputy.
The clan despised her as deputy especially the warriors who she was even more bossy to. There was even a rumor going around the warriors that Honeystar only chose Brightleaf as deputy because she resembled Lotusflower the most. Birdflight snapped out of thought when Brightleaf lifted her tail to stop. The deputy's fur was on end. Birdflight looked around Brightleaf and squinted. They were at the very edge of the border but there was the silhouette of a cat heading straight toward them. The patrol waited a moment and she now could tell this cat was a tom. He had broad shoulders and muscles rippled under his pelt. He had sleek jet black fur with the brightest green eyes she had ever seen. He was actually very handsome. The black tom dipped his head in respect. "Greetings." He mewed his eyes locked onto Brightleaf's. Something flashed in their eyes. Was it recognition? Brightleaf hissed unsheathing her claws. "Who are you?" The black tom raised his head eyes shining with confidence. "My name is Night. If I may, I would like to talk to your leader please." Brightleaf narrowed her eyes and she felt Bramblethorn stiffen beside her. Fireblaze growled in distrust.
"How do we know you aren't planning anything?" Brightleaf demanded. As much as Brightleaf annoyed her, this time and only this time Birdflight agreed with her. "Because, I'm completely alone and if I try to pull anything I'll be dead in seconds. I know you are clan cats. Clan cats are more fierce than any other kind of cat and you will rip me to shreds. Brightleaf nodded slowly. "Alright. Follow me." Brightleaf growled warning in her voice. The patrol surrounded Night yet the tom kept his head up. They entered camp and the clan grew silent. Lotusflower must have been lying in the sun but she hastily ducked into the nursery. Cats narrowed their eyes in distrust and some even growled. "It's a filthy rogue." Night looked hurt for a moment but didn't let it get to him. Honeystar was waiting patiently his aqua gaze carefully guarded. Brightleaf moved to sit beside Honeystar and started to tell the leader of how they found him and that his name is Night.
Honeystar turned to Night. "Where are you from and explain why you are here and why you need to talk to me." Honeystar asked. Night took a deep breath and began his speech. "As the silver tabby told you my name is Night. I was once from a clan called FrozenClan. We lived in the mountains but there was an avalanche. The clan was destroyed. I'm not sure if there were any survivors but I had to either run and save my life or die in the avalanche unknowing of my clan's fate. I traveled for about 2 moons until I came to a rogue group. Maggot, a white tom with yellow bloodshot eyes is the leader. I thought maybe I could join them and start a family and make friends but it wasn't very welcoming you see. I was the lowest rank, and forced to eat last which was only the scraps of prey. I was beaten and starved so I escaped. I traveled and at the same time relaxed and regained my strength. Then I came to these moors. I instantly knew you were a clan because of border patrols. FrozenClan did this too but Maggot and his rogue group did not. I simply waited for the next border patrol to come along. I would like to join your clan Honeystar. If you'll let me I promise you I will hunt and fight for my clan even at the cost of my life. I wish to start a family, make friends and rank up in this clan. Please take this into considera-" Night was abruptly cut off by Brightleaf. "Enough!" She growled and started circling Night.
Night squirmed in discomfort. Poor Night. Brightleaf must love to watch him squirm. "Well Honeystar? I say we throw him out and never to come back again!" Brightleaf growled. Honeystar hissed. "Well I say no! He deserves a chance. If he proves himself he shall earn his warrior name then. Night until then we will address you by your rogue name until you prove yourself to the clan. Until then you will go on regular hunting and border patrols. I trust you know the warrior code, about StarClan, patrols, and how clan life works." Honeystar turned to Night expectantly. Night dipped his head. "Yes sir I do know everything about a clan. Thank you so much for allowing me to stay. I very much appreciate it." Honeystar smiled and dipped his head. Brightleaf screeched in anger stomping one of her paws. "Honeystar! He's a rogue! Are you insane!? He's going to betray the clan and-" Honeystar snarled and whipped his tail in agitation. "Brightleaf! Learn to close your mouth! A leader's word is law! Do not defy your leader and quit acting like a kit! Go hunting by yourself now if you need some fresh air!" Honeystar looked angry and Brightleaf knew that it was not a request but an order. "Yes Honeystar." She mumbled her leaf green eyes blazing with anger. She whipped around and rushed out of camp trying to keep the little dignity she had.
It was silent for a moment when Fireblaze mewed rather loudly. "Someone should so send that bossy furball to the dogs." The clan started laughing and even Honeystar laughed. After the laughter ceased Honeystar padded up to where Birdflight and Night were standing. "Birdflight will you take Night on a tour and check borders while you're at it?" Birdflight dipped her head, her golden eyes shining. "No problem. Let's go Night!" She led the way out of camp and slowly the laughter and chatting got quieter until the only sound was the wind blowing. Birdflight went through the border with him showing him each border and how you can tell each clan apart. On their way back to camp Night looked up at her. "Birdflight...thank you. You are a great warrior and know so much." He mewed slowly. Birdflight smiled. "N-No problem." She mewed back. Something about this tom was just...throwing her off. She shrugged and they padded back into camp.
A couple days passed and on a patrol where Birdflight was leading a hunting patrol along with Iceflight and Crowfrost, two of her best friends, Night, and the famous jokester Fireblaze. Birdflight padded along until a strange scent hit her. It smelled like dogs. She hissed in shock and whispered back to the patrol. "Smell that? Its dog!" The patrol stood there in shock and tried to scent dog. "Yeah I definitely smell dog." Iceflight whispered. Birdflight motioned to stay low. There was a loud bark and she saw about 3 dogs racing straight toward them. "Attack!" Birdflight yowled just before the dogs were on them. She jumped onto one of the dog's back. She covered its eyes and unsheathing her claws, she slashed into his eyes blinding him. The dog attempted to crush her but Birdflight leaped off of him and immediately back kicked the dog's legs. The dog fell with a yelp and she slashed at his chest and pinned the large dog down. Birdflight snarled, her eyes blazing with anger. "Leave!" She growled clearly. The dog seemed to understand and raced straight over the border, its tail between its legs.
Birdflight got the wind knocked out of her as another dog slammed into her. This dog which was the largest out of the 3 slashed at her side. She let out a yowl of pain and quickly jumped to her paws clawing at the dogs nose. The dog was smarter and faster than the last. He ducked and slashed at her sending her flying. The dog slammed a huge paw down onto her side and he seemed to smirk. Birdflight closed her eyes. There was a screech and a yelp of surprise. Birdflight's eyes shot open to see Night battling the dog fiercely. He was an incredible fighter and was very agile and swift at the same time. The dog crashed down in seconds and was sent bawling. Iceflight, Crowfrost, and Fireblaze seemed to finish the last dog off and the dog raced out of WindClan territory. Night limped over to her, eyes gentle. "Are you ok?" He asked panting and helped her to her paws. "I'm fine. Are you ok?" Night nodded. "I'm fine as well. I'm just glad you're ok." The black tom mewed his voice genuine and sweet. Birdflight reassembled the patrol. There were moderate scratches but no one was really fatally injured. Once they entered camp the patrol was swarmed with questions especially herself. Honeystar growled and pushed through the cats that were surrounding the patrol. "What happened?" He asked his eyes wide with shock as he looked over injuries. "Someone go get Fernleaf!" He added and a young warrior raced into the medicine cat den. "Well we found 3 dogs on our territory." She began. "We chased all the dogs out of our territory with a good amount of scars to remember us by. Also," Birdflight turned toward Night and pushed him up to stand beside her. "Night here saved my life when a dog pinned me." Cats gasped and some even cheered. Honeystar turned to Night eyebrows raised. "Well, I know what Birdflight says is true. She is one of my most trusted warriors and for you to save her life you have proved yourself to the clan. We will have your warrior name ceremony once the rest of the clan gets back." Fireblaze smiled and yowled. "Night! Night!" The clan joined in and cheered the black tom's name. "Night! Night! Night! Night! Night! Night! Night!"
It was a starry night, when the stars were shining brighter than usual. Birdflight felt a nudge and Night who was last moon named Nightwhisper nudged her. "Birdflight. I need to talk to you in private." He mewed urgency in his voice. She blinked, her golden eyes glistening in worry. "Nightwhisper are you-" She stopped talking when he flicked his tail. Birdflight got to her paws and let Nightwhisper lead her out of camp. They padded along the moors and she sighed happily. Nightwhisper had become one of her closest friends and to be honest she had a huge crush on him. A couple of nights ago he had opened up to her and they sat there talking until the sun started to rise. They padded up a steep hill and sat down together admiring the view. She could see IceClan's mountains in the distance, RiverClan and its rushing streams, ThunderClan with its thick forest that surrounded her territory and she could faintly see ShadowClan's territory. "Isn't it beautiful. I really don't see how ThunderClan cats can live under the trees. I would feel trapped rather than sheltered there." Birdflight shrugged and yawned facing Nightwhisper. "Whats up?" She asked tilting her head slightly.
The black tom took a deep breath. He looked rather nervous. "Birdflight... I-I really like you. You are so beautiful. Every time I look at you and see those golden eyes I melt and know that you are what I need in my life. I-I think I, no! I know that I love you and if you'll give me the chance. Will you be my mate?" It was silent for a moment. There was a pleading look in his bright green eyes. Birdflight's eyes softened and she leaned forward and whispered. "Yes."
About 2 moons of blissful happiness with Night passed. Birdflight moved to the nursery where she had her four kits, Stormkit, Boltkit, Autumnkit, and Leopardkit. A moon later her kits were a handful, always getting into trouble somehow. One night, Birdflight was staring up at the stars with her kits nestled against her. Nightwhisper padded out of the warriors den but she could sense something was wrong. His eyes darted around camp nervously. He had a wild look in his eyes and his fur was ruffled and he was completely on edge. His eyes locked onto the nursery and Birdflight stayed as still as possible knowing any movement would alert him. Nightwhisper turned and raced out of camp. Birdflight gasped as she heard her mother's voice. He's hiding something! Her voice sounded so urgent. Birdflight murmured apologies to her kits and gently moved them to Lotusflower and her kit's nest. Lotusflower woke up and narrowed her eyes. "Please watch them for me. I need to go for a moment!" Birdflight whispered. Lotusflower must have sensed her urgency. She nodded and wrapped her feathery tail around all the kits. Birdflight raced out of the den and out of camp. She slowed down and remembered her stealth training that her uncle Oakshadow had told her about. Pretend that you are walking on a bunch of pebbles that will move any second you are not careful. Following Nightwhisper's scent she did as her mentor had instructed her so long ago.
She spotted Nightwhisper standing on the edge of the border. He seemed to be waiting for something. But what? Birdflight spotted some tall grass and heather and ducked behind it and waited. Birdflight tensed and saw 3 silhouettes in the distance and she knew they were cats. As they got closer and closer Birdflight held her breath praying to StarClan they wouldn't notice her. She noticed that the 3 cats were all toms. One was a rather young tom about the age of an apprentice. He was a ginger tabby tom with one white paw and green eyes. He had a tuft on his head that stood up as well. The next was a menacing dark gray tabby tom with blazing amber eyes and many scars from battle. The last tom was a white tom with ugly bloodshot yellow eyes. Birdflight kept back a gasp. This tom was Maggot the tom Nightwhisper had described to her. He's still working with the rogue group! She realized horror and almost engulfing her.
Nightwhisper tensed and lifted his head slightly. "Maggot." He rumbled. "Night." Maggot rasped his voice as horrifying as his eyes. "Well what have you learnt?" Maggot demanded flicking his tail impatiently. "First off, this clan will be extremely hard to take out. So let's begin with strengths. They are incredibly fast and can probably outrun a monster. They are also very fierce because the other clans around here, which we have already discussed, think that WindClan is weak and run away from their problems. This makes them even more fierce, determined and aggressive. This fuels their anger making them dangerous when provoked. Now for their weaknesses. They are not the strongest cats except for a choice few. They also try to pick the strongest clan to side with in a war." Night finished and smiled. Maggot nodded and tilted his head. "What about that she cat Birdflight? Tell me her personality and her appearance." The white tom demanded. Night shifted from paw to paw. He sighed giving in. "She is very fierce and strong. When she's fighting she doesn't hesitate but is merciful at the end. She is also very graceful and elegant, yet fierce and powerful. She is one of the most trusted warriors and is a decent hunter although her strong point is fighting. We have 4 kits two toms and two she cats. Birdflight is a dark brown tabby she cat with coal black tabby stripes and scorching golden eyes that make you melt just like the sun and-" Maggot growled impatiently. "Night! Quit getting distracted." Night nodded hastily.
Maggot was about to go on when the ginger tom mewed rather loudly, "Hey Night if she's really that pretty lets capture her and take her back to camp!" Maggot hissed and scratched the flaming ginger tom's face. "Be quiet! Do not speak Ember when the conversation is not about you at all!" Ember shrunk back and nodded quickly. "Now Night you have done a remarkable job. We will be attacking next moon at dawn. On the day before we will be having another meeting at this same time. I trust you will gather more information?" Maggot turned to Night and Night nodded quickly. "Good. Also tell Brightleaf that she is allowed to come back to camp and prepare to attack. She has been a loyal spy and tell her she will be rewarded when she returns. Now until our next meeting good luck deputy." With that Maggot flicked his tail and Ember and the unnamed tom disappeared into the night. Night turned to pad back into camp when Birdflight raced forward and tackled Night, blinded by rage. "You liar!" She yowled pinning him down. Night stared at her his green eyes wide. "Y-you heard our conversation?" He asked weakly and she could feel him trembling. "You lied to me about everything! Was this your plan all along! To destroy WindClan!? You foxheart! You traitor! You trespasser!" She yowled slashing at his handsome face drawing blood but honestly she didn't care. Night was about to say something when Birdflight dug her claws deeper into his black pelt. "Don't say a word." She growled. "Why, why did you betray everyone?" She hissed. "I was born in the rogue camp. Maggot who was a clan cat before and raised me like a clan cat. I am his deputy and it is my job to take out clans with the information that I have. Maggot wants to destroy the clans using me." Birdflight hissed. "Well, Night!" She spat out his name her voice dangerous and filled with venom. "You will call off the attack or else you will be WindClan's number one target! If we see you, trust me, you'll be dead in an instant! Your dead to me you rotten piece of crowfood! The kits will no longer have a father because of you and they will never know their father. If I see you or any of your rogue friends we will kill you and have no mercy! Call off the attack or else!" Birdflight dug her claws deeper and Night yelped.
"But Birdflight I-I love you." He mewed pathetically. She snorted. "Really? I'm not falling for that again you liar! You lied about everything and you have been planning this all along. Call off the attack or else I will rip you to shreds!" Birdflight snarled. Night's eyes widened with fear. "Go." She whispered. "Get out." She snarled picking up Night by his scruff and throwing him roughly over the border. "Call off the attack, make sure none of your rogue friends set paw in my territory and never come back because if I ever see you again you will be dead." Night's eyes widened and he gulped. He nodded quickly and raced away into the darkness. Birdflight took a deep breath and stood there at the border for a while. She stared into the night half wishing that Night would have stayed with her and never betrayed her. That he had been born in WindClan instead and be completely loyal. Everything was a lie. What will I tell my kits? Oh, your father betrayed the entire forest and was a liar and a traitor. She sighed and turned away from the border.
Birdflight quickly entered camp and went straight to Honeystar's den. "Honeystar." She mewed surprising herself with how her voice rasped and how she sounded so stony without emotion. Honeystar's head poked out of the den. "Yes?" He asked tilting his head slightly. "Everything about Nightwhisper was a lie." Birdflight quickly recounted her story. Honeystar's eyes darkened and he sighed. "Thank you for telling me this Birdflight. I appreciate it and it shows me that you are an extremely loyal warrior. Brightleaf will be exiled for betraying her birth clan and for being a foxhearted spy." Honeystar hissed. Birdflight nodded. Her and Honeystar padded out of the den and Honeystar yowled loudly. The clan awoke yawning and looking quite sleepy. Brightleaf padded out of the warriors den and was about to take her place where the deputy sat but Honeystar leaped in front of her and hissed. The clan was silent.
Honeystar turned to the clan with Brightleaf frozen to the spot. "I have just received word that there have been two cats betraying our clan. Nightwhisper and Brightleaf. Birdflight has already taken care of Nightwhisper. All along he and Brightleaf have been working for a rogue by the name of Maggot. Birdflight was listening to the meeting Nightwhisper had with them. Maggot was out to destroy WindClan but Birdflight stopped him and ordered him to stop the attack. Brightleaf also has been spying on us, her birth clan, just to be rewarded by Maggot. Brightleaf you are hereby exiled from WindClan. You shall never set paw back in WindClan territory ever again. If you do we will not hesitate to kill you. The same goes for Nightwhisper. Would anyone like join Brightleaf in her exile?" Honeystar asked. No one moved and no one dared to speak. "Well, Brightleaf you are on your own. Oakshadow, Bramblethorn. Escort Brightleaf to our farthest border away from the other clans and far away from us." The two large toms nodded. The clan formed a small aisle. Brightleaf walked down the aisle with Oakshadow and Bramblethorn flanking her and roughly pushing her.
Birdflight and Iceflight stepped forward blocking the aisle and smirking, standing shoulder to shoulder. "Hey Birdflight remember when we were apprentices and we dearly wanted to slash that smug look off Brightleaf's face?" Iceflight purred turning to her best friend. Birdflight chuckled. "Oh yes I definitely remember that. Honeystar may we?" Birdflight asked peering around Brightleaf. Honeystar smirked. "Why, it'd be crazy for me to say no." Birdflight giggled and turned back to Brightleaf. Brightleaf snarled her green eyes blazing with embarrassment and anger. "You wouldn't." The silver she cat hissed her voice low and dangerous. Birdflight and Brightleaf were nose to nose and she narrowed her golden eyes. "Watch me." She hissed back. Brightleaf growled.
Iceflight and Birdflight winked at each other and at about the same time they slashed at Brightleaf's stunned face. Brightleaf staggered backward and hissed in pain. Birdflight felt a pang of guilt as the clan started laughing. Brightleaf looked up and was absolutely livid. "Oakshadow, Bramblethorn, escort Brightleaf out of our territory please." Honeystar ordered. With that Oakshadow, Bramblethorn and the exiled Brightleaf padded out of the entrance. The clan started chatting and laughing enjoying themselves. Oakshadow and Bramblethorn returned and nodded happily to Honeystar. The WindClan leader smiled and leaped onto the WindRock and yowled. The clan grew silent and she and Iceflight sat together buzzing about how they finally got the chance to slash at her smug face. "Now WindClan is left with no deputy but not for long. It is moonhigh now and I have already made my decisions based on current events and past events. The new deputy of WindClan will be Birdflight." Her eyes widened and she gasped. All eyes were on her and she stepped forward taking the smaller rock that the deputy stands on. "This is an honor Honeystar. I promise I will make WindClan like a hurricane alongside Honeystar. We will be a force to be reckoned with. I will strive to help my clan no matter what. I will never betray any of you I promise." Birdflight mewed loudly so the clan can hear. And every word was true to the bottom of her heart. WindClan will be a hurricane with me as deputy and that is a promise.
- Spoiler:
- Birdflight's apprentice Rockpaw, has earned her warrior name, Rockpetal. After a couple moons, Birdflight was on patrol near RiverClan territory when she saw a ginger tom, strong and muscular with a fiery pelt like a flame. She learnt at a gathering that his name was Sunbeam and the two cats started to secretly meet at night, which is currently unknown to the clan. They became mates and had four kits, Sandkit, Leafkit, Brackenkit, and Flamekit.
The Legend of Razorfrost
Before Birth
- Spoiler:
- Rain pelted down like daggers stinging and soaking everything it touched including a small, slender, silver she cat with jet black tabby stripes and icy blue eyes that were strangely warm and excited. Those icy blue eyes looked around the surrounding forest before darting out into the open, the rain full on hitting the poor she cat straight in the face yet, she didn't seem to care for her excitement seemed to overwhelm her. The silver tabby leaped over a small stream and skirted around the moors, which were strictly WindClan territory. Finally, after running in the rain and about half way around WindClan's border she finally saw her destination. The barn. She began sprinting almost as fast as a WindClan warrior and she burst into the barn. She was immediately greeted by the dry warmth of the barn and pure white fur. "Chill..." The silver tabby she cat whispered into the pure white fur and she began purring happily, twining her tail with his. "Riverlily." Chill whispered back turning his ice blue eyes to her. Their eyes almost matched, yet Chill had a more calculating and wise look in his eyes while Riverlily had an excited, joyful look. Chill pulled away and almost immediately regretted the decision. But he had to talk to her. "Chill, I left. I left RiverClan... I did it." She whispered after a moment of silence. Another long moment of silence followed Riverlily's words and the silver tabby began to nervously shift on her paws. "I'm so proud of you! We can now live here! Together just you and me and we'll be safe in this barn. Its always warm in the winter and cool in the summer!" Chill exclaimed rushing up to Riverlily and nuzzling her. Chill had taught her that winter was Leaf-Bare and summer was Green-Leaf. How she had missed so much in the world of a warrior. "I love you Chill. I'm so happy I left for the love of my life. My mate." She mewed looking into Chill's icy, calculating blue eyes. "I love you too." Chill whispered. Days of pure happiness followed after their meeting and Riverlily never went back to RiverClan. She would much rather stay with Chill. After a moon, she padded inside the barn after a small hunting trip carrying a mouse. Chill had stayed because he had sprained his paw the day before. Riverlily set the mouse down on their small fresh kill pile (after all it was only the two of them) and laid down beside Chill. It was quiet almost too quiet when she felt a convulsion of pain. She screeched in shock and pain and yowled, "I'm having the kits!" Chill was immediately on his paws, completely forgetting about his pain and focusing on his mate's more extreme pain. "Wh-what do I do?" He asked desperately trying to help. "Go, go get a stick and after-" She grunted through clenched teeth but had to yowl in pain. "After, go get wet moss by the stream! Go!" She snarled ripping away the hay. Chill raced away and Riverlily struggled not to be so loud. The first kit came, he was a large, muscular pure white tom. Just like Chill. She quickly guided the kit to her belly and waited for the next kit to come. Earlier, one of Chill's friends Bella had come to help. She was once a medicine cat in ShadowClan but left and became a kittypet but she still kept up with her studies and was a great healer. Bella had said 3 kits so Riverlily would have to last. After blinding pain, the next kit finally came. She was a beautiful silver tabby she cat and she happily guided her daughter beside her son and began to lick them both. Chill thankfully came back but all too late. She really could have used the stick earlier but it helped for the last kit. Finally after what seemed like ages, the final kit came. She was a tiny pure white she cat and she hurriedly guided the kit to her siblings. "Their beautiful, just like you." Chill whispered stepping forward. Riverlily hadn't noticed that her mate had set down the wet moss beside her but now she hurriedly licked up the water desperate to quench her thirst. Then she began licking her kits gently her eyes filled with love, in the back of her mind she could feel how exhausted she was but she didn't care. All that mattered to her was Chill and their new kits. "Should I go get Bella so she may tend to you? She said that borage or something was the best for producing milk for the kits. Riverlily shook her head, "Please stay, I'm about ready to pass out." She whimpered and urged him to sit beside her by patting the spot in the hay beside her. Chill obliged and sat down beside her, leaning over he gently licked each kit. He purred and Riverlily rested her head on her paws, content. Before she knew it, her eyes were slowly closing until she fell asleep.

Re: Birdflight's Short Stories!
You should have paragraphing because its really hard to read like that. A whole block of text isn't exactly appealing. I'll read it when you've spaced out the whole thing :3

Re: Birdflight's Short Stories!
Very detailed story, Bird The epilogue is quite vague, though. A little elaboration on the cover up story for the kits and everything would be interesting. I'm curious o:
Maybe I can draw art for the story or a coverpage or something? Just a small thought.
