Riverclan's Curse
Starclan is upset with Riverclan. Cats have been getting sick with a disease that no cats has ever seen before, and Starclan has remained silent at Moonpool for the Riverclan medicine cat. Only two cats know the reason for their anger, and it is because of a secret that only they know. The disease makes cats become very weak. At first, a cat that has this disease is more tired than usually, and eventually, it will make the cat not even have enough enegy to leave their nest. The disease is very contagious. It may even kill the cat if it has the disease long enough without it being cured. Riverclan has to find a way to cure this disease.
Update: Echosong's idea: The disease is 12,000ap. The medicine cats never get sick because. Badgers have 45,000 AP, and foxes have 30,000 AP
Streamfur was sitting in the center of camp waiting for a report from the dawn patrol. Featherstorm walked up to her looking exausted. She yawned and gave Streamfur her report. Streamfur knew that Featherstorm usually wasn't this tired after being on the dawn patrol. "You should go have a rest, you look tired." she meowed. "Thanks Streamfur," Featherstorm meowed before yawning again. She padded into the warriors den.

Sunbeam walked out of the warriors den. "Firestorm doesn't have enough energy to stand up." He told Streamfur. "Do you want me on a patrol?" He asked his deputy. He thought longingly of his pretty WindClan mate, Birdflight. Then he thought of the Dark Forest, where he trained every night. He would become the most powerful warrior the clans had ever seen, and rule over them all, with 36 lives and Birdflighy at his side.

"I'll Go." Mallownose mewed, padding up, fluffing out his long tabby fur. Seeing the dreamy look on Sunbeam's face, Mallownose prodded him with his paw, and mewed, "Dude, are you ok? Your like spacing out." he mewed, his bright blue eyes making him look alot like his father. Licking his paw, he drew it over his ear, a sense of arrogance filling the air around him, making him look like a gloating Dark Forest warrior.
"But who would you wanna take besides me comin' along?" He asked lazily.

"That's for Streamfur to decide." Sunbeam mewed arrogantly, copying Mallownose's tone exactly. "When you become deputy, then you can start making decisions. Until then, don't." Arrogant fur-ball! he thought quietly.

~Mallownose, is it okay that I'm making you and Featherstorm's kits be apprentices? If not, I'll edit this post~
"You two can go with Splashpaw and Whitefire." Streamfur meowed. Hopefully those two can learn to get along with eachother, she thought. "I'll go send Berryleaf over to check on Firestorm." she said. She quickly padded over to the medicine den, and told Berryleaf about Firestorm. Berryleaf ran over to the warriors den with some herbs. She checked Firestorm to see what was wrong, but she couldn't figure out what was making him lose his energy. "Have you eaten any strange plants lately?" she asked, "Have you done anything out of the ordinary?"
~Sunbeam, I was wondering, how did you get 36 lives? Make Firestorm say no for the answers to Berryleaf's questions~

~He doesn't. The Dark forest has convinced him that they will give him that though. He is brainwashed. Are they on a border patrol or a hunting patrol?"
"No, I haven't." Firestorm meowed weakly. "I just woke up very weak." He could barely lift himself off the ground.
"Sure thing, Streamfur. Let's go, patrol."

Re: Riverclan's Curse
(I'll join in )
Spicepaw watched from the side of the apprentice's den, lifting a blue-grey paw and smoothing down the fur on his chest. He gave his fur a few more licks and listened to the others, hearing talk of a patrol. Patrols were definitely not his thing. He was more of a cocky cook. The Russian Blue listened a bit more closely, his daily grooming finished. Slowly, he made his way to the pile of food, mostly fish. Spicepaw examined the fish, looking bored. Riverclan life was dull as a drypaw and especially as a cook. There wasn't much to work with, and he sorta missed his old life as a cheff's pet. "Alright, what do we have here...?" Spicepaw mumbled, spotting the shiny scales of a bigger fish buried somewhere inside the pile of fish. He took it out carefully and lay it down, a pleased look in his yellow eyes. It wasn't all bad, the ingredients were fresh. He bit into the fish, not bothering to spice it up or add sauces to the raw dish. It would waste both time and precious ingredients that he had managed to gather from Awesomeclan when he left. Too bad they're probably going to go bad... He thought, finishing the last morsel and letting out a satisfied purr. Now, all he had left was pepper, river salt, lemon, and honey. Sooner or later he'd have to live a normal Riverclan life, but that wouldn't stop him from cooking. "Uh, so, any of you guys planning to bring the only and oldest apprentice, who could use the experience, along, or is he going to rot around in camp all day again?" He asked, walking over to the warriors and flicking an ear. It was irritating to be overlooked, even if he hardly ever fought for the clan. All he ever did was hunt and cook. He wished to do more... to be stronger. Stronger than any warrior in his clan. Stronger than Windystorm...

~hunting patrol~
Berryleaf sifted through her pile of herbs. She didn't know what she should do. She found a catmint leaf in the pile. Maybe it will give him more energy... she thought. But if it doesn't work, I might be just wasting our precious catmint supplies... She pulled out a couple leaves of catmint and said, "Here, eat these."
Streamfur glanced over to where Spicepaw was sitting. "You can join them on the patrol if you like. Then she left the clearing to go speak to Brightstar. She stopped at the entrance to Brightstar's den and said, "Brightstar, may I come in?"

"Thanks." Firestorm meowed weakly as he swallowed the delicious leaves. Ordinarily he would have protested that she saved the leaves for Greencough and Blackcough, but now he had ni fight left in him.
"You can come with us." Sunbeam meowed to Spicepaw. He turned and headed toward the reeds that formed the border to the camp. They brushed roughly into his pelt, but he ignored them and continued walking. "I thought we would try to fish in the river. Whatever we find, we bring back."

Re: Riverclan's Curse
Spicepaw nodded, looking pleased. "Awesome," He said, following Firestorm. He glanced at the ground, noticing how it was mostly smooth rock and grass. It was different from the clouds. Harder, wetter. As he looked down, a reed bumped into his face, a prickly feeling on his nose. The tom sniffed the plant, curious, and quickly looked around. Firestorm and the others looked like they were focusing on the patrol more than on him. "Ah..." Spicepaw bit the plant, his eyes round with curiousity, and quickly spat it out, his nose wrinkling up in disgust. "Ew..." He spat, shaking his head to try and get rid of the taste. At least they don't taste like cat tails, heh... Spicepaw thought, shaking off the reeds and continuing with the patrol, a more confident spring in his step. No one saw that. Play it cool.

~Sunbeam is in the patrol. Firestorm is sick at camp. Just saying...~
When they arrived at the river, Sunbeam meowed to the other cats in the patrol, "You can catch fish, now. Or you could try for the woodland animals." Sunbeam nodded towards the forest behind them. He walked over to the fast flowing river and, making sure his shadow didn't fall on it, sat on the edge. Almost at once he saw a silvery shape flash by beneath him. He flashed out a paw and scooped in out of the river. He then killed it with a single bite.

"Sure, come in." Brightstar plucked and rolled the moss beneath her paws, crushing the reeds that formed the base of the nest. Normally at this time of day, she'd be up training Spicepaw. But today she needed time to think, and had her apprentice join one of the patrols. Brightstar narrowed her dark green eyes and vanquished another reed stalk in frustration. "The disease is all my fault," she muttered under her breath. "If I hadn't left in the first place..."

Re: Riverclan's Curse
(What if we used AP in this RP? Say the disease is 12,000, but the medicine cats never get sick because well... they're med cats. And if they come across a badger or fox, we could give them an AP power too. Maybe badgers are 45,000, and foxes are 30,000)
"We don't know if catmint will work," Echosong warned Berryleaf. "As far as we know, the disease only makes cats tired." She pawed the pile away from her apprentice and began sorting quickly and neatly. "Give Firestorm ragwort, for strength. And borage, in case there's fever or inflammation." Echosong gave Berryleaf the two herbs as she came across them in the pile. Great StarClan, she thought. How will we fight this disease if we don't know what it's doing?

~Great idea, Echosong!~
Before long, Sunbeam had caught another fish and had deposited both of them in a shallow poll to keep them fresh. Even though it was winter, the river hadn't frozen over, but still the sun could rot the fish if they weren't kept cool.

(Sorry, read your last post and thought it was Firestorm then)
Spicepaw's eyes glanced over at the quick catch the warrior had just made. "Forest? I thought only Thunderclan cats were allowed to hunt there." He asked. Spicepaw shrugged. Did suggest I scare some over the border...? The scent of water vole was faint, but his sense of smell was sharp from cooking and he would be able to track it down. Slowly, the tom lowered himself into a typical Awesomeclan crouch. He realized his mistake and shifted back to a Riverclan crouch, which was better for moving across the slippery ground by the water. Soon he spotted a small moving bunch of brown fur near the reeds. Spicepaw inched forward a bit, his bright eyes narrowed as he hunted. He was behind for someone his age, which was, in fact, almost Sunbeam's, and his skills held him back. Spicepaw was cocky, but secretly he knew he wasn't as good as everyone else. He was weak compare to the other cats, and Brightstar probably chose to mentor him to try and toughen him up. It didn't work, but the ex-Awesomeclan apprentice was determined to prove his worth. Spicepaw slowly brought a paw up, placing it carefully on the ground and making sure his claws were all the way in. He bunched up, his tail fidgeting nervously, and lunged. His teeth snapped just centimeters away from the vole, on the reeds again. Spicepaw growled, frustrated, and made a last attempt at catching the vole. He slipped and fell halfway in to the river, and his long black claws were the only thing that held the rest of him up. Growling, he got up and shook his fur dry. "Foxdung..."

~It can affect you if you want it to Shamu~
Streamfur entered Brightstar's den. "Firestorm has the disease now and Starclan hasn't spoken to the medicine cats at all." Streamfur said, her voice full of concern. "We have to figure out what to do, before this gets worse." Streamfur felt like this was her fault. I should have tried to convince Brightstar to stay. I should have never gone to Moonpool, and should have waited for Brightstar to come back... "Do you think Starclan will speak to us, if we go to Moonpool?" she asked.
Berryleaf gave the herbs to Firestorm to eat. She was concerned about how Starclan hadn't been speaking to her.

Poor Echosong and Berryleaf, Brightstar sympathized. It must be terrible to be ignored by the ancestors that have watched over you and guided your pawsteps for so long. She stared at her paws, a sigh escaping her muzzle. "Perhaps," she meowed, her ears twitching. "We're the ones at the bottom of this trouble anyways."

Firestorm chewed up the herbs, his normally bright eyes dull.
After he had caught three fish, Sunbeam walked back to camp with threat of the patrol. He deposited them on the fresh kill pile and went to find Streamfur to report. He followed her scent towards Brightstar's den, and stopped at the entrance. "Brightstar, Streamfur? Can I come in?"
