SkyClan
Leader-Pinestar: Cream tom with bright green eyes. He is smaller than average size, but makes up for it with intelligence, wise, and kindness. He has short claws, but they are extremely sharp. The only part on him that isn't cream, is his tan paws. He has a pink nose, and pink paw pads.
Deputy-Cinderlight: Dark gray tom with hazel eyes, and long, sharp claws. He has darker gray tabby marks on his tail, legs, and tabby marks on his face. He also has darker gray ears. He is normal sized, and kind.
Medicine Cat-Mintpelt: Off-white she-cat with dark green eyes. She is smaller than average size, with a diamond in between her eyes, that is a light gray. She has light gray tabby stripes on her tail, legs, and tabby marks on her face. She is very smart, and can run very fast, but chooses to be a Medicine Cat. She is also Pinestar's younger sister.
Warriors
Silvermist: Light silver she-cat with bright blue eyes, and tabby markings. She is average-sized, with a long tail, and long legs. She is said to be one of the kindest cats you could ever meet. She has a pink nose, and black paw pads. She has only been a warrior for about a week.
Rainflower: Blue bengal she-cat with icy blue eyes. She is smaller than average size, but is very strong, despite her size. She has a pink nose, and black paw-pads. She has long legs, and a normal sized tail. She is Silvermist's older sister.
Icefur: Black tuxedo she-cat, with gray eyes. She has a very long tail, and very long legs. She has silky fur, especially after swimming. She is one of the few cats who like to swim. She is a very good fighter, and okay at running, good at swimming. Many cats think she is pretty.
Prologue
- Spoiler:
- The rain fell on the ground relentlessly, leaving the forest leaves to be destroyed. The river threatened to cover the territory, sending water droplets everywhere. As the animals fled, the fish looked at them with smug expressions. The grass was getting pushed every which way, some of it getting tore out of the ground. The dirt became muddy, leaving paw prints behind.
A silver tabby screeched in pain as her kits tried to push their way out of her. Silverclaw, her best friend, grabbed her scruff and dragged her on to a tree. She let out another yowl of pain as she had another contraction, and Silverclaw licked her face to try and calm her. “Help!” He yelled, not knowing what to do. His silver fur bushed up in hope and fear as he saw her mate. He jumped back down, the water surrounding his paws. “Oakleaf! Oakleaf!” He yelled, his face starting to disappear beneath the water. “Moonfur’s having her kits!” Oakleaf’s eyes became as big as moons, “Where is she?” Oakleaf desperately looked for her. “She’s in that tree!” Silverclaw pushed his head back out of the water. “I can’t climb,” Oakleaf dug his claws deeper into the nest he was floating on. Silverclaw managed to swim to Oakleaf, and threw him onto a branch. Silverclaw’s head disappeared beneath the water.
Moonfur’s blue fur rose as she saw Silverclaw disappear, “Silverclaw….” “It’s okay, sweetie. Just focus on having the kits,” Oakleaf laid a reassuring tail on her shoulder. Suddenly, a pale gray she-kit appeared next to Oakleaf. He licked the sac off, and set it next to Moonfur so she could nurse. “Skykit, because the sky has never looked like this,” Moonfur murmured before another contraction started. Then a dark gray tom, which didn’t seem to be breathing. Oakleaf kept licking his fur the wrong way, stimulating him to breathe, but nothing happened. Then, the kit let out a cry. Oakleaf set him next to Moonfur, and he started nursing. “Graykit, like what the sky looks like right now,” Oakleaf decided. Then there was a ginger tom, who very much resembled Oakleaf. “Treekit, because his fur matches some spots on the tree,” Moonfur squeaked in joy. When Oakleaf set him next to Moonfur, the kit wriggled his way away, and fell off of the tree. Moonfur watched in horror as the kit splashed and fell in the water. Then there was a tan tabby, and his fur stuck out in every which way. “Stormkit, because his fur reminds me of the storm,” Moonfur purred, making sure he didn’t fall. Then, there was a silver she-kit, who looked exactly like Silverclaw. “Silverkit, because she reminds me of Silverclaw, who gave up his life for her,” Moonfur choked back tears.
Chapter 1
- Spoiler:
- Silverkit blinked open her eyes, to see the SkyClan nursery. She saw the usual: Moonfur asleep, Skykit asleep, Graykit asleep, Stormkit asleep, and Oakleaf probably out hunting. She jumped up, her fur bushing up in excitement. She ran over to the moss ball, and batted it out of the nursery. She made sure no one was watching, and batted it into the Medicine Den. She made sure Mintpelt was asleep, and pushed the moss ball into the water. She got the wet moss ball back into the nursery, and dropped it on her siblings. They jumped up, the fur on their back rose in fear. She acted like she hadn’t done it, and imitated Stormkit. “What was that?!” She screeched, and started to lick her pelt.
Oakleaf padded back into camp, his mouth full of squirrel fur. “Daddy!” Silverkit squeaked as she ran to her father. “What do you want?” Oakleaf growled at Silverkit. Silverkit looked at her paws, “Sorry…” “You’re going to be an apprentice soon; you shouldn’t act like you’re two days old!” Oakleaf snapped at her, baring his teeth at her. “Yes, father,” Silverkit nodded her head and dashed off. Oakleaf watched her go, glaring at her.
Silverkit saw Oakleaf, Moonfur, Cinderlight, and Pinestar pad into the Leader’s Den. Silverkit sat next to the Leaders Den, eavesdropping on their conversation. “Who should be Stormkit’s mentor?” Pinestar asked. “Icefur would be good,” Moonfur suggested. “I agree,” Pinestar said, “How about Skykit?” “Definitely Rainflower,” Oakleaf puffed out his chest in pride at his suggestion. “Of course,” Pinestar nodded his head, “Graykit?” “Hmm….How about Silvermist?” Cinderlight, the deputy, asked. “That’s a good one,” Moonfur smiled. “Now, here’s the tricky one, what about Silverkit? She’s mischievous, so she’ll need someone who is strict, but fun.” Pinestar was deep in thought. Not wanting to know her mentor yet, Silverkit padded away.
Silverkit heard Pinestar calling for a meeting, and sat up. She began cleaning her pelt, and curled her tail neatly around her paws. Moonfur started to clean her siblings, and they sat at their usual place for clan meetings.
“We have four kits who are ready to become apprentices. Stormkit, step forward.” Stormkit padded next to Pinestar, his chest puffed out in pride. Pinestar scanned the clearing, and his eyes stopped on Icefur. “Icefur, you have proven yourself a good warrior. I know you will pass down your humor and intelligence to this young cat.” Icetail nodded her head. “From this moment on, until your warrior ceremony, you shall be known as Stormpaw.” Stormpaw touched noses with Icetail, and they sat down. Am I next? Silverkit thought. Please let it be me next! “Graykit, step forward.” Graykit padded next to Pinestar. “Silvermist, you may be a new warrior, but you have proven yourself worthy of an apprentice many times over.” Graykit and Silvermist touched noses. “From this moment on, until your warrior ceremony, you shall be known as Graypaw.” Graypaw sat next to Silvermist. “Skykit, come forward.” Skykit trotted next to Pinestar. “Rainflower, you are one of my best warriors. Always putting the clan first, you deserve an apprentice. You shall be Skykit’s mentor.” Skykit and Rainflower touched noses. “From this moment on, until your warrior ceremony, you shall be known as Skypaw.” Silverkit bit her lip, rocking on her heels in anxiety. “Silverkit, come forward.” Silverkit took a deep breath, and padded confidently to Pinestar. “Cinderlight,” Silverkit fought not to let her jaw fall, “you are already my Deputy, and I’d trust you with my clan and my life. I trust you to pass down your enthusiasm and loyalty.” Silverkit touched noses with Cinderlight. “From this moment on, until your warrior ceremony, you shall be known as Silverpaw.” Silverpaw sat next to Cinderlight until the cats left.
She was nearly bouncing around, “What are we gonna do?” Cinderlight couldn’t help but smile at the eager apprentice, who was now bouncing around she was so excited. Cinderlight pointed his tail at her siblings, “Why don’t you just go play for today, then we’ll start tomorrow.”
Silverpaw ran over to her siblings, who were talking to the older apprentices. Nightpaw, a pitch black tom with a green eye and a blue eye, sat next to Silverpaw, his fur touching hers. “You got the best mentor,” He smiled sweetly. Silverpaw couldn’t help but think he was handsome. He’s strong, got pretty eyes, and is charming. “Just because he’s Deputy doesn’t mean he’s the best,” Silverpaw said matter-of-factly. Nightpaw nudged her playfully, “If you wanna believe that, go ahead.” He got up, and turned his head back towards Silverpaw, “I’ve got to go.”
That's all I have for now, but I'll have more soon!
