Are you going to purchase Hollyleaf's Story?
Hollyleaf's Story Survey
I have sent the email to HarperCollins, so no more votes will be needed/used. Thanks again for your votes!
Hi there, y'all might know me from Warrior's Wish and the official Warriors forum. I heard that this would be a good site to post my survey, so here it is!
So, we've all probably heard about Hollyleaf's Story. It's a novella about half as long as a regular Warriors book, coming out a week from my posting this - and it's ebook-only. A lot of people aren't happy about this. Also, we fans don't know if it's available in Canada. So, I'm doing this survey on several sites - so far I have around 150 votes between the official forum and two other fansites, and I'm going to send the results to HarperCollins, possibly on the date itself.
I probably won't have this open for too long here, because I plan to send it to them soon, but if I can get more votes before doing so, then awesome.

I would rather buy the paper, since my Kindle dies in seconds... -.-

Re: Hollyleaf's Story Survey
I'm not buying it because it's e-book only and plus if it was paper I could give the book to my friends for them to borrow and read. (By the way, Welcome to WCF! )

I don't think I can get E-book. But anyways, I'd rather read it on paper. How come they won't have it on paper? So not fair. Another total rip off by Harper Collins. Plus I'm from Canada, so that makes even more disappointing

I'm sorry! I have an E-book, and I don't live in Canada. But what rip-offs has Harper Collins done before?

You have absolutely no idea, my friend.Tigerspirit wrote:I'm sorry! I have an E-book, and I don't live in Canada. But what rip-offs has Harper Collins done before?
1. The fifth seris is about the founding leaders right? Well, it was orignally supposed to be a super edition. If it was a super edition, they would make about $20 million, assuming around a million people will buy it. But if it's a six book seris, one person would spend $120. If a million people bought it, they'll make $120,000,000, 100 million dollars more in sales.
2. The manga trilogies were all supposed to be in one book, altogether about 100 pages, roughly the normal size of a manga novel. But they decided to split into three books and keep the price at $10, that way they would make $30 for the trilogy instead of $10. If you add it up to all of the trilogies, they'll make $390 on all of the trilogies. If they kept each trilogy in one book, all of the trilogies together would only cost $120, so that's $270 more. If you assume tht a million people will buy every manga trilogy, that's $390,000,000 .
3. The new "Erin Hunter" seris, called Survivors, isn't actullay written by the Erin's at all. A whole new team of four american authors will be writing it, but Erin Hunter's name will be put on the cover to trick Warrior and Seeker fans into thinking their favourite author has come out with a new seris.
HarperCollins isn't doing anything illegal, but their still sucking money out of people's pockets. Do not trust anything that these bloodsuckers say.
Anyway, glad to see you finally made it Dawnwing! I was starting to wonder if you would ever make it! I would like to vote, but I already voted on Warriorswish and I don't want to sabotage your results.

Re: Hollyleaf's Story Survey
How do you know all this is true? Where did you find it out? Sorry if it seems like I don't trust you, but I don't trust everything without a lot proof.
Did you just come here to post that topic...? Because I'd don't care if it's an E-book 'er not, but the Canada thing is unfair.

I almost always get all my information from Warriorswish, where they get their information from Vicky Holme's facebook page directly. I also have been on Warriorswish for a long time, so I have seen a lot of these news annoucements. The math I included is something I drawn up myself.

Re: Hollyleaf's Story Survey
I haven't read Hollyleaf's Story yet. I'm not really interested, and we basically know what happens, right? She somehow escapes the rockfall, wanders around the tunnels, getting food and finally finding her way out. Hollyleaf knows the tunnels really well, and she checks in on ThunderClan from time to time. That's basically it.

Re: Hollyleaf's Story Survey
Sent the email today - thanks again for your votes. I also mentioned a bit in the email how there's been some resentment, like Stareye said, so hopefully they'll consider changing things a bit.

Re: Hollyleaf's Story Survey
You know they probably don't reply ro it, right? Like they don't actually say anything on Facebook, Twitter, etc. They have someone approve of what they want to say, and type it. So they don't say anything private.
Well now I'll believe you.
She also could have fallen in love with someone, and watched him, or something like that. Idk. It still sounds good!
