Flamestar, the leader of Shadowclan, curled up in his nest. As soon as his eyes closed, he saw claws shooting up in the night sky. He could hear fellow clanmates screeching in pain. Blood spouting everywhere, and cat bodies on the ground. Then he saw a tiny black cat, with one white paw, sitting on a stack of bones, tail lashing, yowling in triumph. The sky turned red, and the lake blood. Flamestar ran to the black cat, but he cut him open from his stomach, in one scratch. Flamestar lay in pain, while the tiny black cat yowled again, his claws glinting in the moonlight. Flamestar felt all of his nine lives fading away, and a burning sensation in his stomach. Before he could yowl for help, he jolted awake, "What`s going to happen?" was all he could think.

"What you lookin' at, foo?" Jason growled, joking, but there was a hint of seriousness in his voice.

Ryker settled down on the cold earth and just glared forward, an indescribable emotion flickering in his eyes.

Torture sat up and revised her face so that she was glaring at all the cats.

Jason waited for Scourge to start, becoming impatient.

~Sorry Fang's been inactive, he's had soccer practice and stuff~

Torture glared twice as much at some other cat who was hiding a purr at her enraged face.

~This is Fang typing on this post. Sorry, I don't wanna make Tigger log out, and I'm only posting this one thing.~

The smoky gray tabby let his green eyes scan the clearing. "I need a border patrol. Torture, Jason, Ryker, and Ernestine, you'll be on the border patrol. Ernestine's leading. Then don't bother coming back unless you've got prey. Then after that, Torture, you'll lead a border patrol somewhere else, I don't care where. Jason, you'll lead a hunting patrol after Ernestine's Border Patrol. Ryker, I want you to watch after the kits after Ernestine's border patrol. That will be all." He dismissed BloodClan.

Torture got up and shook her pelt, spraying fleas everywhere, and followed Ernestine out of the camp.

Jason jumped away from the fleas, "Clean your pelt once in awhile!"

Torture ignored him and padded on to catch up with Ernestine.

Jason hopped over the fleas, disgusted.

"Well? Shall we follow or just stand here?" the irritated black shecat snarled.

Ernestine looked behind her and snapped at Torture, "Shut it." She smelt something, then instructed, "Torture and I will head this way. You two go the other way. Meet back here, and make sure you have prey with you!" Ernestine bounded away, and stopped. She got on her haunches, and caught a bird. She murmured to herself, "Must be lucky."

"You're a she-cat?!" Jason said in astonishment, then dashed off, giggling.

Sapphire yawned. Since Scourge hadn't assigned her anything she might as well catch a few Z's. She walked back to where she had been sleeping the night before and curled up. She kept her ears alert for any signs of anyone coming towards her.

Meanwhile, Torture had seen and smelled something in the tall grass. In her cold way, she pounced on and injured the mouse badly but not fatally. Before she finally ended the little life, Torture tortured the mouse.

~i always wanted to say that! ~

"Flea-bag," Jason muttered, looking at Torture in disgust.

Ryker growled. He did not like to watch kits and their little play. Taking his anger out, he swiftly climbed up to a higher place to watch for birds. Perhaps catching a lot of prey would show off his strength.

~thanks Spiritstrike. Wait arent you supposed to be heading the other direction?~

Torture sat up with the juicy, warm mouse in her jaws, then took a nibble out of its tail when Ernestine wasn't looking, and proceeded to bury it and mark the spot. She caught sight of a sparrow and stalked toward it, ears pricked.

~someone explode out of the grass and scare the bird away so i can scream at them! ~

Jason jumped from the grass, landing on Torture. He dug his claws onto her back, snarling. He jumped off, running, "Rogues! They're covered in fleas!" He yelled to Torture, looking apologetic.

Torture snarled, "You idiot! You scared my sparrow away, and it was a perfectly fat one too! You watch it loudpaws when I get back to camp!" She had to hastily rearrange her features when she saw Ernestine coming.

~well that was fun! ~

Suddenly, a rogue jumped out on Jason, but Jason cut him open in one slice down his belly.

Ernestine and Torture continued along the border. Suddenly Torture stopped in her tracks and hissed,"Fox scent! And fresh too!"

"You're messed up!" Jason threw a rogue. "You're supposed to help your clanmates!"

~um, me? Im on the other side of the territory...~

The two she-cats bounded off throught the tall, blady grass, sticking to the scent trail and occasionally catching glimpses of rancid smelling dung.

Scourge landed next to Torture, "You should be helping Jason."
