You can click groups at the top of your screen and then click Thunderclan and click join, or you can hit home and scroll to the bottom, above the chatbox, and click Thunderclan and click join.

I think to join ThunderClan you'll have to wait for Monkeystar, the clan Leader, to accept you. And he doesn't really show up that much anymore. Plus I think he's done some extra things that you have to do before joining. Just to let you know.

Sorry if I confused you. You should join Windclan, I would say Iceclan but you have to be special [ like to mess with Pain ] to get in.

That's sounds Great, but I think FireClan could use an active warrior [and poor Skittlestar is practically alone].
