Epicpaw meanwhile had followed the EpicClan warriors without them knowing, out of curiosity. She watched them silently in the bramble bushes nearby, wincing slightly as the thorns cut her fur.

Hazelstorm's nose kept checking the air as they got closer to the stream, suddenly she halted, Oakshade running into her, "Fox." She mouths, her eyes already dialated with fear. Sticking her head through the brambles, she saw Silkstream hunting, completely oblivious to the upcoming danger.

Silkstream whisked her tail from side to side and followed the squirrel into a clump of mallow. The sickeningly sweet scent overpowered her scense of smell, but Silkstream ignored that. She could see the squirrel, and that was enough.

"Darkgaze, I have the right to talk to talk to you. Please tell me what's wrong so I can help you." Flamepelt meowed, scooting closer to him until their pelts were touching.

She keeps watching, not making her move unless she sees danger.

~Taking over other people's characters and making do things. Ex. You make Lightningstar's character Oakshade slam into you. ~

"Just leave me alone you pest." Darkgaze frowned at Flamepelt, blushing even more.

Oakshade smelled the air. "Epicpaw, why'd you follow us? There's a fox and I don't want you getting hurt." he mewed sternly.

(Can Epicpaw be Oakshade's apprentice?)

"Darkgaze, please tell me what's wrong! I want to calm you down, but you're just making it worse. Please tell me what's wrong!" Flamepelt meowed, looking at him pleadingly.

"well, first of all, you're too close. Second..." Darkgaze growled and glared at a nearby oak tree. (hint, hint)

"Oh, sorry." Flamepelt meowed. She scoot over, then she asked, "What did Oakshade do this time?"

Sunfish heard the noise and yowled "KEEP IT DOWN OUT THERE! I'M TRYING TO WORK HERE!" she flicked her tail in disgust and bared her teeth as she knocked over her stack of Yarrow leaves.

Hazelstorm turns around also, though letting Oakshade punish his apprentice, she keeps a ears turned on Silkstream.

Stemkit pawed her brother."He's still not opening his eyes."She complained."Give him time."Moonshade meowed softly.Stemkit looked over at the medince cat den."Can I go help Sunfish in the medince cat den?"She asked."Sure."Repied her mother.

Dreamstar was stressed. She wanted to go for a walk with someone. "Anyone want to go hunting with me?" Dreamcloud asked.

"Really, Darkgaze. I have the right to talk to you, and I say calm down and tell me what Oakshade did to you." Flamepelt meowed soothingly.

Darkgaze growled once more but let his fur flatten. He stared at her for a moment, his eyes searching for something. "I think...they're trying to steal him from me...and he doesn't care. We're brothers...and he abandoned me for she-cats. He said we'd never separate. Specially not for any she-cat." he mewed, his voice tormented.

( Sure, Lightningstorm Oakshade can be Epicpaw's mentor! )

Epicpaw reluctantly stepped out of the bushes. She blushed as everyone stared at her. She shifted nervously on her paws, feeling slightly uncomfortable with the unwanted attention. "Sorry Oakshade. I wanted to test my tracking skills," she mewed softly, waiting for his reply. She hoped he would not scold her.

Silkstream's tail twitched in pleasure as she pounced and killed the squirrel with a neat blow to the head. Picking up the prey, she turned to begin the trek back into the forest. Silkstream dug up her rabbit on the way and padded over to a cedar to wait for Oakshade and Hazelstorm. Half closing her eyes in a doze, she noticed the ferns rustling. Silkstream rubbed her mallow-scent-clogged nose and sat up. About time... A narrow, russet muzzle poked out of the undergrowth and Silkstream froze. Fox...

Hazelstorm nods to Epicpaw, smiling, "Your tracking skills were fabulous, but you could of just asked to come." She turns toward the bushes as Silkstream strides in, "Good catch." Hazelstorm had been to occupied to notice the ever closer fox coming up behind them...

"I understand, Darkgaze. Sometimes things like that happen..." Flamepelt trailed off. Flamepelt remembered when her sister, Sunlight, pulled away from her because of true love... Tears came into Flamepelts eyes, and then she started to weep and wishing that Firelight would come back.

"Does anyone want to go hunting with me?" Dreamstar asked again, wondering if everyone was ignoring her.

Sunfish sighed and gently finshed stacking her boradge leaves and sat back with a quiet purr, now all of her herbs were neatly stacked and collected. Then Sunfish noticed her yarrow supplies was running very low. "I guess I better get some more yarrow!" she grumbled, shaking her beautiful golden coat and then she head out into the forest. Sunfish padded along a narrow trail, she let her guard down then she smelt something.....Fox! Wait! What is Silkstream doind here?!?!? Sunfish thought paniced before she raced out into a clearing to find Silkstream and a fox.

Darkgaze sighed and gently licked Flamepelt's ear. "I know how much it hurts..." he murmured, closing his eyes tightly and holding back a sob.

Silkstream looked around, her ear flattened at the sudden rustling in the bushes. Trying to taste the air, she muttered, "Fox dung! Stupid mallow patch. I still can't smell anything!"

Oakshade smiled at his apprentice but it soon faultered as he smelled fox.

Silkstream's eyes flicked around in confusion. It's not safe here... Following her instincts, she snatched up her prey, but was too late. A narrow, russet muzzle poked through the ferns, followede by a raspy growl. Bristling, Silkstream backed toward the cedar, but another growl followed the first. Silkstream hissed and dropped the prey, heading toward a tree. Before she took a few paces, the two foxes padded forward, cornering her
