River/Thunderclan RPG: The Flood

Plot:

In her dream, Streamstar sat at the border between Thunderclan and Riverclan. She looked up and noticed that the sky was clear, not a cloud to be seen. She turned towards the river, hoping to find fish, but what she saw suprised her. In the reflection, the sky had become filled with clouds. She looked up, and realized that these clouds were growing bigger, and getting darker every moment. Then, she heard a voice, seeming to come from everywhere and nowhere at once. A storm is brewing, which will either tear you apart or bring you together. Rain began to pour and thunder boomed, and the next moment, Streamstar was awake in her nest.

A great storm is coming, and soon Riverclan will need the help of their allies. But what does Streamstar's prophecy mean, and will it affect the relations between Thunderclan and Riverclan?

Snowstar blinked her eyes open as the light began to seep into the leaders den. After a few more heartbeats, she rose to her paws and shook out the moss that clung to her pelt after a quick nights rest. After a quick cleaning, she padded out of her den and made her way down the ledge and into the clearing. It didn't look like hardly anyone was awake yet so she decided to get a bit or exercise. The snowy white he cat made her way towards the entrance t the apprentices den and prodded Milkypaw in the side, signaling that it was time for some training. "I'll be waiting in the clearing" she mewed as she headed out of the small den and sat near the entrance of the camp.

It was still early when Hazelshade woke up. Or it had to be, because almost everyone else was asleep. The only nests vacant had to be from those who'd been assigned to dawn patrol. She flicked a scrap of moss from her nose and picked her way out of the den. The morning chill bit at her skin and the she-cat stifled her sneeze, although it still came out in a weird spluttering cough. Hello, World, Hazelshade though sarcastically. Here comes the cat who can't sneeze properly.

Silverstream exited the warriors den and headed out into the clearing yawning sleepily before cleaning out her silvery coat. "Good morning Hazelshade" she purred.

OOC: Maybe Hazelshade and Silverstream can be close?

Oakheart wakes up and lets out a groan as he stretches his legs, preparing for what the day may hold.

And Oakheart, you could always add more to your RP posts. Maybe at least a minimum of three sentences? Add thoughts, describe your surroundings, do some action so the other RPers can follow your action and do something with/to you. Like if you go out to hunt, some other person can go with your character~

Hazelshade eyed Silverstream for a moment. "It would be better morning if it was warmer," she replied sulkily. "I'm warning you, if I scare all the prey away on the hunting patrol today, it's not my fault. I can't help but sneeze." She let out a little snuffle to punctuate her rant. "But good morning to you too anyways." The calico warrior reached out one paw to snag a scrap of moss clinging to Silverstream's tail.

Silverlily's ears flicked as she looked up from where she had been dozing in her nest. Bad dreams had been plaguing her mind lately, so she hadn't had a good night's sleep for a moon. She'd always wake sometime before dawn, shaking and ready to bolt. And the dreams were about drowning for StarClan's sake. RiverClan cats didn't drown. She shook herself and glanced over to Oakheart. He was yawning— must've just woken up, when Silverlily hadn't been paying attention. "Hey Oakheart," she whispered, trying not to wake the others up. "Hey."

Silverstream flinched away at first, mistaking Hazelshade's paw batting as a sign or aggression rather than assiting her with her daily grooming routine. "Thanks," She responded, trying to keep her voice down so she didn't wake the patrol from the previous night. "Should we grab up a quick meal before we leave for soe hunting?" Her cool blue eyes looked at Hazelshade for a minute then she looked around wondering who else might be u that wasn't leaving for the border patrol.

Oakheart stands up and feels his muscles cramp up slightly. He begins to think about what he needs to get accomlished and sets goals in his mind. "I need to go for a walk and get some fresh air" he says as stretches. He heads outside and takes a deep breath, letting the cool crisp air circulate inside. "I love the feel of the cool weather" he says to himself as he sits down admiring the beautiful day.

Milkypaw mewed softly as she felt a soft muzzle nudge her in the side. After a few minutes, she began to gain full consciousness after her long slumber. The words echoed in her head "'Meet me in the clearing'"Milkypaw sat up and stretched out her paws. After a quick groom, she padded out into the clearing to meet Snowstar. "Good morning!" She mewed in a high pitched voice as she looked up to her mentor, her face beaming with delight.

"Okay." Hazelshade rubbed a paw over her a tuft of fur that was sticking up on her head. It refused to flatten, so after a few moments, she gave up with a sigh. "Where do you want to go hunting? By Sunningrocks maybe? It's a shame we can't actually go hunting on the rocks." RiverClan had taken the territory back ages ago. As allies, ThunderClan let them keep it. Or at least that's how Hazelshade saw it. She didn't know about anyone else.

Silverlily rolled her eyes. Did he not hear her? She sat up carefully, trying not to disturb the other warriors sleeping around her. "Hey Oakheart," she repeated a little louder, "hey?" Her tail flicked, brushing against the reeds of the nests and accidentally poking into Radioactive's ear. Oops. Sorry. Wincing, the tabby warrior quickly stepped out of the warriors' den before she could accidentally stepped on someone's stomach.

Shimmerpaw stood up in the apprentices den, walking out and trying to avoid the other apprentices still sleeping. After exiting the den, she reached forward with her fore-paws and stretched. She returned to a standing position and shook a little. "Morning," She mewed to no one in particular. (I forget who my mentor is... I've been gone a long time.)

Streamstar sat up and stretched, still thinking about her dream. She quickly groomed herself, then padded out of her den, her eyes immediately glancing up towards the sky. A few puffy white clouds floated above, but in the distance, she could make out dark clouds on the horizon. It might be a good idea to reinforce the dens.she thought to herself. She noticed Silverlily leaving the warriors den, and beckoned her over with her tail. "Good morning, Silverlily," she meowed, "if you haven't been assigned to any patrols yet, I could use your help with something."

Silverlily abandoned her quest of getting Oakheart's attention. Someone's a little absent-minded today, she thought as she padded over to Streamstar. "'Morning," she meowed. "I was planning on taking Ripplepaw out for some training, but what's up? I'd be glad to help with anything-- he can tag along."

"I noticed storm clouds on the horizon, and realized the dens haven't been reinforced in a while," Streamstar meowed, "Could you and Ripplepaw reinforce the dens in case the river rises, so they won't float away? You can start with the nursery, since thats closest to the river." She spoke calmly so she wouldn't worry Silverlily, but her mind still on her dream.

Silverstream mulled it over for a second before nodding in her own approval. "I think it has been a long time since we have gone anywhere in that area. It couldn't hurt to see if their is anything good around there." She padded off in the direction of the clan entrance, nodding her greeting to the snowy she-cat as she passed. "Good morning, Snowstar." The silvery she-cat continued out of the camp and quickened her pase. It was no surprise how excited she was to be out of the camp and out hunting again. Watching the others go in and out of the camp for so long was getting awfully boring. "Come on! Hurry up, Hazelshade!" she called out over her shoulder.

Snowstar watched the other Thunderclan warriors begin to slowly gather in the clearing. She yawned as she waited for her apprentice to come into the clearing. The sky seemed clear right now but the air was thick and damp signaling there would be rain soon even while the trees concealed the clouds. Rain...Ugh... Snowstar didn't really much care for the water since every time she got wet her pelt clung to her body and felt heavy. No thank you. We will just have to prepare the camp for the weather. Maybe I should take the apprentices out to get supplies before the weather strikes... Before she realized it, Milkypaw was heading out of the apprentices den and only heartbeats later, Shimmerpaw followed her. "Perfect" she mewed to herself. "Glad to see you're joining us this morning Milkyaw." Snowstar dipped her head to touch noses with her apprentice and looked at Shimmerpaw. "You'll be with us today. We need to reinforce the dens before it rains."

Completely lost in daydream, Oakheart imagines himself flying up into the clouds besides the birds. Then he let out a sigh and decided to lay under a tree. "I wonder if I should be awaiting orders?" He said to himself, lounging in the shade. "I do feel sort of bad for not doing anyting." He stands back up and heads back to the den to see what he could do to help.

“Okay. So patch up the dens? Nursery first, and then the warriors’ den, because that’s the closest, I guess.” Silverlily glanced over her shoulder at the dens, then lifted her head to look toward the horizon. Sure enough, she could see the ominous, dark skyline bearing down on the gray-blue sky. Hmm. “Do you think we need to move some of the herb store somewhere safer, Streamstar? In case the river floods.”

Hazelshade raced after Silverstream, catching up, but just barely. She wasn’t very fast. Already, she could feel her lungs straining to keep up. The closer they got to Sunningrocks, the further she fell behind. By the time they stopped, Hazelshade was several lengths behind and she was huffing loudly. “O-kay. Now what?”

Silverstream cocked her head slightly. "Well this is the hunting patrol, isn't it?" She purred jokingly before she slowed down in front of Hazelshade. "Any food we can get back to the clan could only help right? And besides that, I feel like I haven't been out in moons now." She slacked off slowly, hoping to hear something soon, so that she had something to take back to the camp..
