The Lost Cave

Applefur led her patrol through the territory. She jogged down a hill. At the bottom she lifted her head and she could smell rabbit. All of a sudden the ground started moving from under the patrol. Applefur was completely shocked. She screeched as the ground gave way and the patrol was propelled down down down into the dark.

Tigerspirit heard Applefurs familiar voice, "Applefur! Applefur! Where are you?" She followed her scent until she saw Applefur, Stormheart and some other cats she didn`t recognize.

"Tigerspirit! Tigerspirit! Yes its Applefur! Were over here! Are you hurt or scratched? I have some cobwebs!" She said.

"No! I`m fine!" She saw all the blood "Oh....are they ok?"

Noticing some of the cats Shardstep let out a yowl. "Applefur? Tigerspirit? Is that you?"

She kept wrapping the cobwebs firmly around their legs. "But... I must agree with Stormheart also, we need to get back to our clans as soon as possible."

She looked back at the Windclan cat. -She smelled of Windclan at least...- "But I got a way out." Stormheart Meowed as she jumped up to the rooted wall. When she felt her hind paw touch a strong root, she pushed up. Only about thirdy more jumps to go... As landed her second jump, she lost her footing. Oh mouse dung! She jumped back and landed on her paw wrong sagging her claw.

"Are you alright Stormheart?" She asked. Then she pricked her ears as she heard Shardstep yowl. "Shardstep? Its Applefur. Cats are hurt!" Applefur yowled. A medicine cat! Oh thank StarClan! She thought.

Oh no! Shardstep thought as she padded towards the Windclan deputy, just what I thought some are hurt! "Have you treated any wounds yet? If so, what did you use?" She mewed sniffing the air. No illness' just blood.

"I used cobwebs to stop the bleeding and wrapped it around their legs. Thats all. I didnt know what else to use. I just remember when I was little..." Memories flew through her mind. She shook her head. "I remember the medicine cat using cobwebs on a cat that was bleeding." Applefur replied to Shardstep.

Kitty growled, then shakily stood up, her pride wasn't going to let her hold back any of these cats! Then she turned to Shardstep and Applefur, and gritt her teeth before mewing " I'm fine, now lets get going!!"

Applefur nodded. "Would you like to lean on my shouler?" She asked Kitty.

"If your hurt that would be best. Putting weight on your leg wouldn't really help it." Shardstep mewed in a worried tone. She quickly went over to Kitty and gently touched several parts of the she-cat's leg with her nose. "Yes, it would be best if you tried to stay off it. When we get out of here I can put more herbs on it."

Applefur nodded and padded forward toward a dark opening. She lifted her head and smelled earth. She nodded and kept walking forward in the cave. They padded for a long time when they came to a huge cave. "Woah." She whispered as she looked at all the caves openings.

Streamfur saw a stream flowing through the cave, "That stream might flow out of this cave!" she meowed, "I'm gonna swim down stream and check, everyone else wait here unless another riverclan warrior wants to come." Streamfur jumped into the stream and swam downstream.

Kitty groaned, and mewed " I really don't like waiting here, it makes me feel useless!" she mewed to Applefur

Applefur looked over at Kitty. "Streamfur has got it under control. And you arent useless, you are one of the strongest WindClan warriors in WindClan. You are not useless." Applefur said firmly.

Kitty purred gratefuly, then sighed " What happens if there is no way out....will we be traped....?" her voice cracked, and she flexed her claws at the thought of being in this loney old tunnel forever.

Applefur thought of the idea. "Dont think like that! We wont! I'll dig my way out here if I have to for us! Anyway dont worry Kitty we'll be fi-" All of a sudden a loud barking echoed off the walls of the cave. She gasped and spun around. There in front of her a huge dog raced forward. There was dirt everywhere in its pelt. It looked starving and it looked like it had been underground for a while. And it was starving. It raced forward and threw her to the side. She screeched. Then the dog bite her shoulder. She spun to the side.

Kitty shreiked a battle cry, and lunged for the dog and sank her claws deep into its shoulder. The dog yelped and dropped Applefur to the ground and whipped around to face her. GREA STARCLAN this dog is HUGE!!! Kitty thought briefly, before she was flung from side to side by the dog. " AAAPPPLLLEEEFFFUUURRRRRRR!!! HELP ME!!!" she shreiked in terror as the dog drug her into the darkness.

Applefur lifted her head. Her vision blurry. "Ugh." She croaked. She saw Kitty shriek getting carried away into the darkness. She tried to get to her paws. KITTY! She thought. Then everything went black.

Dear Starclan Stormheart thought. She leaped on his back and bit into it's ear, and pulled, tearing it. She jumped back and slashed at it's muzzle. That was her favorite style of fighting, -Dancing- She turned around and fled trying to get the dog to follow her. Even though it couldn't understand her she hissed, "don't just stand there you big piece of fox-dung, fight!" It pounded after her on clumsy paws. Just when Stormheart lifted her tail to jump as high as possibility (so the dog would run under her.) she felt jaws clamped down on her tail. She Let out a screech.

Applefur's eyes flew open. She raced forward and leaped into the air on its back. She put her paws on its eyes and unsheathed her claws scratching at its eyes. It howled in pain dropping Stormheart. She turned around still on its back and back kicked its head. She jumped off and slipped in between its legs slashing at his legs. The dog fell. She raced forward toward its head and slashed down hard.

Kitty strugled franitcly, then the dogs gripp grew stronger, and she wailed in terror as she felt her blood leaking over the ground, her vision began to blurrr, but then she saw a beautiful racing toward the fight, she seemed to fly across the ground and she was suddenly ontop of the dog, clawing its face and biting its ears. Siningspirit whipped around to face the injured cats, and snarled " GET OUT OG HERE!!!!! NOWW!!!!!" then she whipped around to face the snarling dog. She clawed its muzzel and bagan to taunt " Come on dog breath, has anyone ever taught you how to hunt?!" Hi, my name is Shiningspirit, and I am the last desendent of the great Darkclan....

Talonstrike leaped onto it's back and lodged his claws firmly into his fur, and began biting the dog's ear. It shook itself violently and Talonstrike was thrown off. "oof!" he grunted. Scrambling up, he dived for the dog's stomach.

Shiningspirit glanced at the large tom, then threw herself at the dog once more, attacking it with a flurry of swiped and bites.

~woah, woah. Who the heck is Shiningspirit? .................~

Hawkfire stumbled back, then glared slightly at the she-cat. Who in the name of StarClan was her?!
