Is Firestar really that good?

First topic message reminder :

This may sound weird but I don't even like Firestar

He was pretty cool as apprentice/deputy/warrior, but when he became leader he went so downhill. He gave territory to ShadowClan, let kittypets into ThunderClan, and butted into WindClan's business StarClan knows how many times. So I guess I'm kind of for Firestar to die so we can see the era of Bramblestar!

you know there's a poll on this topic? mde by nightfrost. i think that if the series is going to continue, they should let firestar die soon and let another leader take over for at least the next two series sets. but if the series is going to end, then just let him be alive til then!

and has anyone noticed that mostly thunderclan cats want him to live?

Well as I said before, everyone should die sometime, right? Im not wishing he should die soon by when the time "is right".

Firestar has lived his time as leader long enough. And he seems to have quite a few lives left. But as you have heard from me before, cats are living too long, and staying warriors when they need to retire as elders.

That is what I said She has lived to long.

But I think we all would be a little sad to see him go. Firestar has been with us since the first book and actually, I think he's always been kind of our hero. I'm sure everyone has had a time where they didn't fit in and that was represented in Fireheart as a kittypet. But Fireheart had determination and soon he became a respected cat in the clans.

Thats true. I mean, why get rid of the "main hero" of the story? Yeah, most people think he has lived to long but is that your ONLY reason???

It would make the books more exiting.

I think that by the end of this series, everyone will appreciate him again. What do you think?

Firestar was okay in the original seris, a good protaganist for it. But I always sensed that he was too perfect; his personailty just a little too flat. But I liked him anyway. Now, he just avoids fights too often and walks into other clan's boundries every other day. Most of the time his reason to visit isn't so urgent that if can't wait until the gathering, so just saying that he didn't mean any harm isn't an excuse! Onestar may seem rude to Firestar a lot, but it's the only reason why Firestar hasn't made WindClan territory his second home!

I know right? And Stareye, maybe you should get another picture? There's a cat called Echosong here. You two might get mixed up.

I agree! Firestar, shall we say, has gotten a bit "comfy?" He tries for peace too often when he should be fighting for the respect of the Clan.
