The Plague [SkyClan RPG][Open to All]

Shadefang was worn out after hunting, and the sickness was worsening. His normally well-groomed dark brown pelt was sticking out in some places and lying flat in others from his negligence to groom himself. His golden eyes were dull and lifeless, and his tail hung low. He felt sick all the time, and hoped to StarClan that they would send a sign, something to help SkyClan in this dark time. He lay outside in the middle of camp for fresh air. It was too hot in the den, and having a long, thick pelt didn't help matters at all. Plus, his pelt was dark brown, and the darker coloured cats always ended up in the shade before the paler coloured ones. Shadefang was almose envious of Rosepaw and her tortoiseshell pelt that was quite light and short. She also had less body mass so she would be better off in hot weather than him. Shadefang wished he could be a small, lithe, white, short-haired cat instead of the great lumbering beast of a tom he was. He lay sprawled out in the middle of camp, trying his best to not overheat. SkyClan had lost enough cats to the sickness already. Shadefang lay for a while, then eventually slipped into a dreamless sleep.

Lunarsky listened in on this conversation, Rosepaw needed a mentor indeed. She could volunteer, but that might mean her sickness would spread onto her, and she probably woundn't be a good mentor anyway. She was almost full grown and she couldn't climb a stupid tree! That was almost nessecary for being in Skyclan! However, she decided to inch a little closer to the unfolding conversation between the two cats.

Sunburn turned to Leopardfrost. "Hold on for a sec," she said, before padding over to Cedarstar. "I could be her mentor, Cedarstar," the deputy mewed. "I'm one of the more healthier warriors left. I could train her."

~But serious, I DID volunteer XD And she said yes. RIGHT? ~

Lunarsky's ears flickered she turned around to see Sagedance in her den, tending to some cats. She instantly whirled around to go talk to the cat at once. She slowly made her way up to the den tripping over almost everything, and waited outside the den.

Rosepaw spun around startled at first but then her eyes lit up excitedly. She purred loudly, not even trying to hide her enthusiasm. "So I finally get to have a mentor? What do I do first?! Maybe jumping! No, Running. Wait. Fighting!" Rosepaw padded around Sunburn and Cedarstar excitedly.

Cedarstar watched as the apprentice went from being shy and timid to bounding around happily to start performing her Apprentice duties for the clan. The burly tom chuffed to mimic a laugh. "are you sure that you ill e able to focus this much energy Suburn? You will have your work cut out for you."

Sunburn nodded. "I'll be fine," the flame-colored deputy purred. "It's not my first time. (.. actually it IS, but since she's deputy, and the Warrior Code states that a deputy MUST have an apprentice so .... c:) I've had apprentices this excited before. Besides, it'll be fun! I have something else to keep my mind off anyways." She turned to Rosepaw. "We'll do those things later. I promise," she mewed. "But first, we need to help the clan recover. Go and ask around for any cats that need things, like Sagedance, for example. You can go ask her if she has any herbs she needs to collect, or something like that. Now off you go."

Lunarsky looked into the medicine cat's den, "Sagedance? Are you in there? I uh, my eyes are starting to die on me." She padded in and looked around trying to find herbs that might help her, but she knew nothinh about herbs so she would have to make a lucky guess.

Personality: He's a happy-go-lucky not-that-smart (kind words for idiot) kit that is a nuisance and likes to get in other cats' ways. He also is really self-confident and likes to strut around like he owns the place. Basically, the opposite of Crystalfeather.

Rosepaw turned and headed off away from Cedarstar and Sunburn now. She was slightly disappointed that there wouldn't be any training yet but she padded on out of the camp and began her hunt for some herbs for the medicine cat. Rosepaw had no desire to bother Sagedance right now with so many cats being sick. Hoping that the smells of any herbs would be recognizable to her, the mottled she-cat began searching through shrubs and near the smaller ponds and water beds for something helpful.

Sunburn smiled a tiny bit as she watched Rosepaw pad away, before she herself dipped her head to Cedarstar, then walked towards the Warriors' den, suddenly feeling seriously tired and ill. Was she sick? She doubted it, but it was still better to make sure, so she turned around and bounded towards the medicine cat den. "Hello?" she called, poking her head into the den. "Is there anybody in there? Sagedance? I'm feeling a bit tired, and my nose is stuffy. Is this a sign of the illness? Would you be so kind as to check? We need as many healthy warriors as possible."

Cedarstar watched as the two she-cats padded off forgetting what he had planned to do before he was stopped. He looked around the camp at any of his clan members who might still be fit enough for a patrol. Even though the clan was not at their strongest, the other clans needed to know that they weren't weak kitty pets and would still defend their home.

He looked over his shoulder at the cliff face and turned to check the fresh kill pile, trying to figure out who would need to do what until they had their warriors recovered and how the clan would be fed. He flexed his claws, peplexed by the ordeal.

Stonepaw trotted along the rocky cliffs of SkyClan camp. He felt a little woozy, but continued along the rocks. By the time he got to the highest point, he looked down at SkyClan territory proudly. He tried to pounce back down gracefully, but his dizziness got the best of him and had him fall down on the rocks hard on his neck. Stonepaw jumped up. It wasn't a major wound. There was no blood, it just ached a bit. Stonepaw's stomach growled and he groaned. He padded over to Cedarstar. "Ugh...Cedarstar I feel terrible," he complained.

Cedarstar watched in shock as the apprentice plummeted from the cliff side. Quickly, he bolted over to where Stonepaw landed as the dust still floated into the air from the impact. "What happened?" His eyes showed a sense of concern but he nudged the apprentice to stand back up straighter to try to calm them down. His whiskers and ear twitched when he heard the apprentice wasn't feeling well suddenly and he looked around for Sagedance hoping she would be nearby.

OOC: We may need someone to play a second medicine cat until Sagedance is back.
