A New Age (All clans will be welcome this time)

Silverstar padded out of the entrance of the leaders den. The sunlight was just seeping up over the tree line, bathing the clearing in sunlight. It's about time that these kits were made apprentices. She looked over the camp, preparing to address them all officially for the first time. Silver star quickly groomed her pelt, returning it too its glossy sheen before staring down and the clan below. "Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather under the Highledge for a Clan meeting!" She said loudly as she awaited the usual response.

(For those members who want to rp their main characters from other clans here you are welcome to do o, you can just pretent that you were either just arriving or that you had slept in the clearing he night before. You are all, also welcome to make your own Thunderclan characters if you prefer.)

Phoenixflare padded into the clearing, her mouth laden with prey right when Silverstar called. She dropped the prey on the fresh-kill pile and padded to sit under the highledge. The black warrior tilted her head in confusion. What's going on? she wondered. Her silver and gold eyes looked at Silverstar.

Brightfrost swiped her paw with a last lick before rising to her feet. She'd only been awake for a few minutes when the call for the Clan meeting came. Shaking the stiffness from her limbs, she trotted out of the warrior's den. Many cats were already awake and milling about under Silverstar's den so she just went and joined the crowd.

Leopardiwng returned from a patrol. She sat underneath the High Ledge, wondering what the heck was going on. Her pelt quivered

~Haven't Had Name Change Yet and I'm Not in ThunderClan Yet~

Briarkit tumbled out of the nursery. She padded straight over to the HighRock and watched Silverstar waiting for the news. But Briarkit wondered Is this my apprentice ceremony?

Phoenixflare purred as Briarkit tumbled out of the nursery."I think you're getting apprenticed," she purred. "And I'm pretty sure your mentor is Leopardwing." She pointed her tail at Leopardwing. "You can go say hi to her if you want," She turned her gaze back on Silverwing.

(I thought mentors weren't supposed to know beforehand?)

Brightfrost whisked her tail out of Briarkit's way, just in time. "Watch out," she meowed, whiskers twitching as she moved over to a place closer to the Highrock. I'll have to go hunting after the meeting is over, she thought, since everyone else seems to have gone out on patrol already.

(Their characters are not supposed to know before hand.)

"Hi, Briarkit!" Blazeclaw said as she saw Briarkit.

Heatherpaw walked out of the nursery area alone. She didn't really have a family in the clan since she was picked up and taken in by them as a kit but she was okay with that.She made her way to the high ledge without saying anything for the clan meeting, already groomed and unsure of what to do.

Torrentheart sat on the right side of the Highledge, gazing up at Silverstar. He has slept in the sweet-smelling clearing the night before from invitation, and he was gladly open to the idea of watching an apprentice ceremony. He looked around for the kits that looked like today was their day, and spotted a small dark kit tumbling out of the nursery and another kit a little ahead of her. He'll have to congratulate all of them afterwards, he decided.

Spotting the small gray shape of a warrior he knew was named Brightfrost, he trotted over to greet her. He was unfamiliar with most of the cats here, but he had met Brightfrost at Gatherings many times. "Hey!" he meowed politely, trying to catch her attention as he settled next to her. "Who's getting an apprentice today?" He nudged her slightly.

Leopardwing padded towards Torrentheart, mewing "What's going on? Is someone getting a mentor?" She flicked her tail. The sun beat down on her tawny pelt. "Ehhhhh, its so hot" she mewed in a mouthful. She saw Briarkit stumble out of the den. What kind of cat would mentor her?

"Huh? Oh hey Torrentheart!" Brightfrost greeted the RiverClan deputy. Her gaze flicked toward Leopardwing. "Sunny day, isn't it?" She wrapped her tail around her paws and watched the kits wander through the clearing to stop in front of the Highrock. "Looks like someone knows that they're becoming apprentices today," the warrior meowed, gesturing at Heatherkit and Briarkit. "Only Silverstar knows who the mentors are."

Torrentheart's long tail swished casually. "I hope you two both get one. You'd both make great mentors," he meowed loudly. Giving Brightfrost and Leopardwing a huge grin, he turned to glance at the kits tumbling around outside the nursery. A purr rumbled in his throat. "Aw. They're all so cute. What are their names?"

~Errrhhh... Brighty, you forgot about Feye. She's becoming Shimmerpaw ~

Phoenixflare glanced behind her and padded over to the group. "Hey guys," she said. "Hey Torrent," she mewed to the RiverClan deputy. "I wonder who the apprentices' mentors are..." The black warrior shrugged. "Ehh... oh well," Her tail flicked back and forth as she glanced back at Silverwing.

Missingleg stood hesitantly at the edge of the clearing, his dark blue eyes clouded with uncertainty. The young tom faced an imposing dilemma. He very much wanted to join the clan beneath the high rock, but he was feeling uneasy on his three feet. Taking a deep breath, the three-leggen cat quickly hobbled over, stopping next to Brightfrost, swaying and almost falling on her. "Sorry." he mumbled quietly, sitting down quickly and looking around at the other three cats, not saying a word.

Silver star watched as all the Warriors and future apprentices made their way into the clearing. She waited silently for the conversations to settle. As it greww silent she continued. "This is overdue. We have four apprentices ready to receive their new names and begin their training in our ways." Silverstar looked down at each of the warriors as she continued. "Briarkit, you have reached the age of six moons, and it is time for you to be apprenticed. From this day on, until you receive your warrior name, you will be known as Briarpaw. Your mentor will be Leopardwing. I hope Leopardwing will pass her loyalty and bravery onto you."

"Heatherkit," Brightfrost explained, very quietly, pointing at each one as she spoke their names, "and Briarkit. There's Shimmerkit over there." She hopped nimbly out of Missingleg's way as he hobbled over. "Watch your step there." The gray she-cat stepped around to sit on the other side of Torrentheart. It was easier to see Silverwing from here, by the tree stump.
