Dappleleaf awoken from her slumber. It was raining softly. It was a chilly afternoon. She stretched her back and walked around the nursery a few times. "What should I do today?"she pondered

Emeraldsky ran into the nursery. "Pheonixflare! Move!" He shoved the black she-cat out of the way and placed a paw on Dappleleaf's stomach, he looked around and yelled to the nearest cat. "Pheonixflare, go get some wet moss." He ordered. "Just one more Dappleleaf, breath deeply, steady." He mewed comfortingly.

Damp and slightly wet Bluetalon came in just in time and got to see the kits. "I am soo sorry I wasn't here earlier...." he mewed nervously and worriedly to his mate. He thought about telling her about what he was thinking, although he should have, he didn't yet.

Dappleleaf kept quiet while biting on the stick. One more to go. She could hear a kit cry. Bluetalon was there. She focused ln breathing. She listen to the steady raindrops. The camp was misty. She wondered ablut her other kit.

Phoenixflare nodded and raced out of the nursery. She pelted into the medicine cat's Dennis and grabbed some moss and dipped it in water then raced back to Emeraldsky. "Here," she mewed, her voice muffled by the moss.

Dappleleaf heard Phoenixflare's muffled mew. One more She thought. It rained harder. Lightning crackled. Thunder boomed.

Emeraldsky glared at Bluetalon. "Move! I need room!" He nodded to his sister and took the moss. He lied the damp piece of moss nest to Dappleleaf's head and placed a clump from another nest under her head to keep it from lolling around.

Dappleleaf felt the coolness of the moss. Relief. She breathed hard. Thunder boomed. A kit's meow was heard. Her second kit had come. She breathed heavily

Emeraldsky placed his paw back on the ground and licked the second kit and nipped it's sack. He placed both newborns by their mother's stomach and looked into Dappleleaf's eyes with a look that said, "Good luck" He licked Dappleleaf's head and turned to Bluetalon, "You can come back now." He slipped some borage into Dappleleaf's mouth. "Chew." He ordered.

Sunpaw was anxious to see the kits she scrambled in the nursery. "The kits are here! YAY!" Sunpaw was elated inside but she didn't want to yell and startle the kits. The kits were perfect mixtures of Dappleleaf and Bluetalon.

Dappeleeaf felt a surge a pride. She chewed on the borage leaves. "A nice name would be Morningkit for the she-cat and Soaringkit."she mewed admiring her kits. The tom was a carbon copy of her, while the she-cat looked more like her father. She was tired but yet elated. "Sunpaw, one day if you become a queen, this is what will happen"she purred.

Bluetalon looked at the beautiful kits, he was elated. He had not ever felt any more excited than he is now ever before. "they're beautiful." he mewed quietly, bust something wasn't right. he decided to get some sleep. Bluetalon was feeling very gloomy. Something was wrong.

Dappleleaf was curious about Bluetalon. His strange behaviour. She licked Morningkit's head. The kits were beautiful. What was Bluetalon's secret?

Maybe a good nights sleep could help he thought to himself as he tried as hard as he could to fall asleep hoping to starclan that his mate wouldn't ask about his behavior.
(hint, hint)

Dappleleaf was hungry. Her kits nuzzled her stomach. She forgot completely and purred. She groomed Soaringkit. He was excatly like her. She loved the both of them and could not stop purring. One day, her kits would grow up to be warriors. Strong ones.

Bluetalon decided to tell his mate....later...."maybe...just maybe, I should tell her. Bluetalon walked into the queens den to check on his mate and confess. (Hint, Hint)

Dappleleaf perked up when she saw Bluetalon. Her eyes gleamed. Her kits were asleep, two curled up balls. They were soft and warm. "Is there something wrong?"she mewed softly, not wanting to wake her kits.

"yes, I am sorry to say there is." he whispered, trying not to wake the kits, he padded over to his mate and whispered "I was nervous about being a father, I didn't think I could handle it, I mean, its nice and all but, I don't think they'll like me. I don't think I'm fit to be a father, maybe I should think it out." he softly mewed right before he ran out of camp.

Dappleleaf was hurt. Did he mean that he didn't want the kits. She layed her head down gloomly, wearing a hurt expression. She looked at her kits. Were her kits going to be father-less?

"Well Bye Dapple I better go." Sunpaw turned and raced to the apprentices den. Sunpaw was happy she got to see the kits. They were so cute , If she did become a queen she would be proud of herself. It was starting to get dark so she grabbed a robin and ate it quickly. She finally lied down in her nest of moss and drifted into a deep sleep.....

Dappleleaf could not sleep. Her kits were snug. She sighed. Her stomach growled . She wasn't sure if she was to get up, so she quickly galloped to get a squirell and came back as fast as se could. She bit into the meat, her stomach filling. Her mouth watered. She ate it while thinking of Bluetalon.

Phoenixflare padded into the nursery and gazed at Dappleleaf. "I saw Bluetalon run off," she mewed. "Is something wrong? Why do you look so sad?" She padded to her nest and sat down around her own kits.

Deep in the forest Blue talon sits under a tree eating a small small mouse thinking of how he made it seem when he left, he felt bad. He missed his kits but thought he needed time. "ugh....i cant sleep, she probably thinks I hate the kits...augh..." Bluetalon mewed as he gobbled the mouse. Soon he was going to have to move again, this wasn't a good spot for him to rest in. "I must find him..." Bluetalon sighed as he looked around for something or someone. "before I can finish looking for him, I must sleep." Bluetalon said as he walked over to a pile of logs and went to sleep.

Emeraldsky wished Dappleleaf good luck one last time and raced back to his den not wanting to saok his fur in the rain. Once he was lain down in his nest, the events of the day tired him. Exhaustion overtook him and his eyelids felt heavy. Sleep bestowed him. (How dramatic XD)

(I am a bad father..... or am I?) Bluetalon awakens to the sound of rain drops making tiny explosions hitting the ground. "its too late to continue looking now. I will finish later"

Dappleleaf shook her head. She watched the raindrops explode. Lightning crackled. Dappleleaf liked lightning. The camp was dark. Her kits were fast asleep. She layed her head down, unable to shake her thoughtzs out of her mind.
