((Ok. I was thinking more of an elk, but hey, bears work too. And sure, the two little parties can meet))
Blaze shot a shy glance at Akiro and then bolted after Mingra, in the direction of the scent. Maybe following an unknown scent could make her admired against the older wolves! There could be a new food source, or maybe a new stock of medicines! Anything could happen! Blaze stopped for a second to roll in the snow and cover her reddish coat, and then ran after Mingra again, although all the snow just blew off of her coat anyway, not helping her disguise.

Akiro bounded through the snow after Blaze and Mingra. His pelt was very easily spotted because it was black but he didn't care. He was a great hunter and he could manage. The scent grew stronger. We're getting closer! He thought. He wondered what it was. The scent was nothing he ever smelled of, even when he was a rogue and was wandering around.

Mingra came a half suddenly, signalling for the two wolves to do the same. They had exceeded the territory limit, and had found themselves at the edge of an open, snowy clearing. It was round, with trees surrounding it. In the middle, was their scent.
It was a large creature, with brown fluffy fur speckled with snow. Next to this monsterous creature, was two smaller versions of the bigger one. The two smaller animals were about the same size of the wolves. Mingra was trying to calculate if they could take this big creature, plus the tinier ones. Was three wolves enough, or did they need back-up? "What do you guys think?" She asked, turning back to her patrol.
~Does the other patrol want to meet up at the other side of clearing? Then we can attack on two sides? It's up to you and what you think.~

Akiro gaped in amazement at the strange creatures. They were like no other creature he'd seen or smelled. Their scent smelled of fish and berries. The huge creature was digging through the snow as the littler ones tumbled around. "These creatures are huge!" Akiro gasped. "Can we take them?"

Nati came to a halt next to Tenebris, while Ajax slid slightly over the loose dirt that blanketed the ground. Nati was in no way going to admit it but she was rather impressed by how smoothly he pulled off such a dramatic stop. She rolled her eyes then took a deep breath, taking in the surrounding scents. That can't be right... Is that...?

Ajax ignored her sarcastic looks. and peered around the underbrush. Spotting nothing unusual, he took in the scents and looked about curiously, wondering if there was something there he wasn't seeing.

Blaze took a step back. What in the world are those things??
"Um, Mingra, I don't think we can take those" Blaze whispered. "Just the little ones are the size of us! Theres no way we could take on those three, just the three of us. Should I run back and get help?" One of the creatures twitched, and Blaze flinched. Just one of those claws could easily take her ear off!

Akiro let out a low growl and started to creep up on it. He gave a howl and landed on the montrous animal. The animal bellowed with anger and swatted him aside. He slammed into a tree and lay still.

(I really haven't been following this, so, umm... where am exactly? )

~We're fighting a bear and two cubs. Akiro slammed into a tree and Blaze and Mingra are waiting for help, I think.

Blaze winced as Akiro slammed into the tree. Well, this was definatly not a new patch of herbs. And now she couldn't run for help, not with leaving a member of the pack injured and Mingra by herself. Blaze puffed out her chest, and ran over to Akiro to protect him from the strange creatures. Hopefully help would come soon, or they would all be fresh-kill.

"Are you okay?" Nkri said to Akiro ad Blaze as he rushed over. Phaio had just recently appeared as well. "How did we get to fighting a bear and two cubs?" He said with a sigh.

Akiro opened his eyes to see Blaze standing over him. "Blaze!" he exclaimed. "What are you doing here? They'll kill you!" Akiro hoisted himself up and went to stand by Blaze. Back at camp, Skaarsgard lifted her nose. There was a unfamiliar scent in the air. She tracked out of camp and to a clearing. In the middle of the clearing were three strange animals. The biggest one was towering over Akiro and Blaze. Skaarsgard ran into action and junped on top of the huge animal. The thing roared with annoyance and tried to swat Skaarsgard off. Skaarsgard dodged and put her in between Blaze and Skaarsgard. She turned to the animal. She growled low and deep. How dare it hurt her pack!

Tenebris growled low in his throat. "We'd better check it out," he decided. "If it's a stranger or a threat to the Pack, we'll need to go and chase it far away." The black wolf angled his nose to the source of the wind and followed the scent. It was weird and musty, and grew steadily stronger as he ran. At some point, Tenebris caught Mingra's scent, and Blaze's. It seemed like they were following the trail as well. A low roar thundered into the air and the sound made him growl again. Bristling with apprehension, Tenebris led Nati and Ajax around a corner.

His jaw dropped at the scene before him and he was tempted to go over to Akiro right that moment and give him a sound trouncing for his stupidity. "Idiot!" Tenebris snarled, leaping forward to stand in front of Mingra. "The stupidest thing you can do is attack an unknown creature head on like that, without orders or plans too. What was he thinking?" The brown-furred beast was now on a fury with the attack. It bundled the smaller creatures behind it and faced the wolves, giving another roar.

Nati stood behind the others, staring in surprise. Not knowing what else to do she let out a loud howl hoping Mara or Padalin would come to help.

Ajax bolted up in front of the bears and because growling and barking fiercely, hoping to deter them from another attack. His belt bristled around his neck shoulders and down his spine.

Mara looked up into the mountains hearing a distressed howl. What on earth did they get into this time? She weighed her options. It's probably nothing...but maybe I should check it out just in case. After another moment of hesitation she raced into the woods and up the side of the mountain at full speed. Her breath ragged but she continued onward using her claws for traction.

Akiro staggered. The force of the tree was too much. He fell into a heap onto the floor and lay motionless. Skaarsgard turned around. "Akiro!" She cried. "Are you ok?"

Mingra stood with her ears pinned back, relief flooding her when Tenebris shows up with his patrol, "You think we can handle this thing? The claws are sharp, but the pups seem to be pretty clumsy." Mingra observed, taking a few steps forward.

Akiro slowly gained conciousness agian. He saw Skaarsgard's face peer down on him. He slowly stood up on wobbly legs. He knew it was stupid to attack an unknown creature by himself but his rage forced him to. His black pelt shone in the sunlight. The bear, as they call it was still roaring at them in anger. He locked his gaze on the cubs. Maybe they could attack the cubs first while some wolves keep the mother occupied.

"It's several times bigger than us," Tenebris observed. "But the cubs are its weakness. They can't fight, and it needs to protect them. And each one of us can fight. We should get the cubs first." The Beta gave Mingra a firm look. "Be careful." He nudged her cheek before ducking away, belly low to the ground as he loped closer to the other wolves.

"Get the cubs," he ordered, pushing up behind Blaze. "Try to stay out of each other's way and no direct attack on the big creature. Just jump in, bite, leap out. Nuisance, distraction attacks. Got it?"

Mingra growled in approval, before leaning back on her hind legs and launching herself forward, "The Beta and Alpha's should get the mother, since we're the most experienced fighters, the rest of you get the cubs. Understood?" She glanced at the two Alpha's, hoping her taking control of the situation wouldn't bother them.

~The alphas aren't there at the minute. Padalin is in camp and Mara is on the way.~

~I was just wondering, what rank are the Omegas? ~

~They're like the outcasts of the pack sort of thing. Strange because a lot of people prefer to play them.~

~ Oh really? Cool. I never knew that. ~

~Actually, I wanted one of my characters to be Omega Male, but someone already tpok it ~

Nkri padded over to where Akiro whas. "If only I had some herbs to help this... We'll have to get you back to camp, then. You are not in any shape to be staying outside of camp." He then looked over to Skarrsgard. "Do you want to help me get him back?"
