Highstone trip

First topic message reminder :

Iceclover streatched her muscles in the sunight, and padded into the middle of camp. Today would be the day she recieved her nine lives. Various cats would accompany her, while her deputy, SHadowstorm, would watch over the camp while she is away.

"thanks, Silverstream. We really need to stretch," yawned Nightfrost and started heading out of the cave. "Hey tawnypelt, Cheesefur, you coming?"

Icestar was greeted by a few StarClan cats. "Cougarstar?!?" She exclaimed disbelievingly. Cougarstar had been the previous leader of ShadowClan, whom Icestar had been deputy to. "Is that really you?" Ice asked. Cougarstar sighed. "Yes, Icestar. I have a grim message." Icestar watched her while she explained. "You have a hard leadership ahead. There will be many hardships StarClan cannot even help you with" Icestar tilted her head questioningly. "StarClan doesnt have all the power in the stars, Icestar! I thought even you would know that. Anyway," Cougarstar continued "If you can survive and protect your Clan through this, ShadowClan will be as powerful as the Ancient Clans. You already have a wide range of talent." Cougarstar flicked her tail in the vauge direction of a line of starry cats. Icestar vaugely recognized Shadowstorm, Cheesefur, Tawnypelt, Silverstream, among others. "Anyway" Cougarstar finished, looking into the distance "Your first task awaits." Icestar began to protest, but was shocked to find her fur getting colder, and colder....

"Brr!!!" Icestar shook herself, then recognized the empty cave of the Moonstone.

((Okay, I needed a leader name, so I adapted one of my other RP names. THis is not based off an acual username))

Tawnypelt looked at Nightfrost who was beckoning her to hunt with her and Cheesefur. Silverstream sat near the Shadowclan leader calmly. But she didn't want to go-yet.

"Um, you can go. Then you can keep gaurd afterwards and Silverstream and I can hunt," Tawnypelt mumbled. Cheesefur and Nightfrost slipped out of the cave, and at that moment Iceclover's eyes blinked open, and she shivered.

"Perfect timing!" Tawnypelt exclaimed.

"Hello, Icestar!" Called Silverstream. She was taken abac that Tawnypelt wanted to hunt with her. Usually Silverstream would stay back and keep gaurd. She liked getting included.

"Aah. Whats this about hunting? We shoukd probably get back to the camp as soon as possible. But, if we need to, you can eat now." Icestar stated, already feeling the power of being leader. She scratched her claws against the cool, hard floor of the cave.

~Hey Ice, you should change your name!~

"hey, did i just hear Iceclovers name?" Meowed Nightfrost, poking her head back in the cave. "Iceclover!!" mewed Cheesefur happily, bounding into the cave. "It's Icestar now," replied Icestar proudly. Cheesefur purred for her leader. Then, Silverstream chanted, "Icestar! Icestar! Icestar!" and everyone else joined in. Icestar looked around proudly, but nightfrost couold tell something was bothering her...

~Yayz! i started a chant!~ "Icestar! Icestar! Icestar!" She cheered!

Tawnypelt noticed Nightfrost was staring at her leader strangely, but she'd ask the Riverclan cat later.

"Come on, we can hunt on the way back to our camps," Tawnypelt said. "Wouldn't that make more sense?"

On the way back, Silverstream saw a Magpie. She creped up on it but a flash of fur ment that another cat got it first.

The flash of fur was Put_Name_Here. Put_Name_Here was a loner that liked to wander around and help the clans. "Oh! Hi, Silverstream!" She called.

A little, fluffy, white head poked up, out of the grass. It was The Fluff, another loner. "Did I here, Silverstream is here?"

Icestar lifted her tail for silence. "Lets proceed back to clan territories now."
Icestar started walking down a hill. A patrol of warriors, from many different clans, followed.

"IceClover, can Put_Name_Here and The Fluff come with us?" Silverstream asked.

~Hey, Put_Name_Here, I'm going to call you PNH for short, ok? Hope you don't mind ~

"Do you want to come?" Tawnypelt asked the loners curiously. She always thought that loners were, well, loners.

~sure, ok.~

"We'd love too! Always wanted to know the clan life. Even though we are going to be loners." P.N.H. exlamed.

Tawnypelt looked at Icestar. PNH and The Fluff looked friendly enough.

As the cats walked on, Cheesefur spotted a rabbit racing through the bushes. She tried to catch it, but gave up. But then, suddenly, the rabbit jumped out into the open path in front of the cats and Cheesefur took the chance to kill it. She thanked Starclan for its life, then quickly dragged it over to the rest of the cats.
"So," Cheesefur began meowing to the loners after she had clawed off the meaty rabbit abdomen for herself ( ). "Do you live around here?"

Of course they live around here, Tawnypelt thought to herself. But Cheesefur was only saying that, because what else could they talk about. Do you like cheese? for instance, would be a bit bizarre.

When Cheesefur had pounced on the rabbit, she saw Silverstream start violently, then realized something and resumed walking. Probably thought it was Carrot.[i]

By now, Tawnypelt was tired. Sleeping in a cramped stony cavern wasn't her type of a good night's sleep.

The cats trudged on. If they were quick, they might make it back to the clan camp before dusk. That was what everyone wanted, obviously but now they were all tired. Cheesefur 's paws felt like rocks as she hoped her rabbit wouldn't come tumbling out anytime soon.

Silverstream saw how tired everyone looked. "Icestar, should we stop to rest? I will keep gaurd for adders and badgers and foxes. I'm not tired."

Nightfrost walked thoughtfully, not saying anything. She just nodded to the two loners, not knowing them all that well...

hm... Nightfrost knew that something was bothering Icestar, but she didn't ask her. She had just become a leader, and might want some room to absorb the... leader-ness. So Nightfrost kept quiet.

"Anyone? I am here! I asked a question!" Silverstream mewed.

"what? Sorry, Silverstream, what was your question?" Nightfrost shook her head to clear off the thought. She wasn't listening to anything.

Silverstream repeted her question. Suddenly a mouse stopped infront of them. "Hi, Silverstream!" "Hi Squeaky!" called Silverstream.

"Everyone, this is Squeaky the mouse." Silverstream said.
